With the Rouse-Zimm differential equation of the spring-bead model, the distribution function ofN + 1 beads(x, y, z,t) [here x denotes x0, x1,..., xN, and similarly for y and z] is explicitly solved with the two different initial conditions: the Gaussian and delta distribution functions. We find that although the mean end-to-end distances obtained from the two initial conditions are the same, the expressions of the mean square end-to-end distances are different. We also obtain the expression for the mean and mean square end-to-end distances analytically from the Langevin equation with the delta initial distribution function. With this analytic expression, we show that the statistical quantities obtained from the Monte Carlo calculation are consistent with those obtained from the Rouse-Zimm differential equation if a suitable length is chosen for the time increment.NIH-Special Fellow (1F03GM43885-01) with a partial support by USPHS GM11916.  相似文献

Sensitive biomarker detection techniques are beneficial for both disease diagnosis and postoperative examinations. In this study, we report an integrated microfluidic chip designed for the immunodetection of prostate-specific antigens (PSAs). The microfluidic chip is based on the three-dimensional structure of quartz capillaries. The outlet channel extends to 1.8 cm, effectively facilitating the generation of uniform droplets ranging in size from 3 to 50 μm. Furthermore, we successfully immobilized the captured antibodies onto the surface of magnetic beads using an activator, and we constructed an immunosandwich complex by employing biotinylated antibodies. A key feature of this microfluidic chip is its integration of microfluidic droplet technology advantages, such as high-throughput parallelism, enzymatic signal amplification, and small droplet size. This integration results in an exceptionally sensitive PSA detection capability, with the detection limit reduced to 7.00 ± 0.62 pg/mL.  相似文献

The batch removal of Cr(VI) ions from aqueous solution using binary composite microspheres of chitosan and nanoparticles of iron oxide under different conditions has been investigated in this study. The influences of initial chromium concentration, contact time, pH, temperature, and solid-liquid ratio have been reported. The adsorption data was fitted well in the Langmuir and Freundlich models and various static parameters were calculated. The mechanism of adsorption was studied by Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).  相似文献

为实现南美白对虾相关病原核酸快速、便捷提取,并实现原材料国产化,降低成本,建立了一种基于国产磁珠的核酸快速提取方法(以下简称磁珠法).以携带虾肝肠胞虫的南美白对虾为实验样本,通过微流控芯片对3种磁珠提取的核酸进行测试,并对裂解液中盐酸胍浓度及洗涤液2中乙醇浓度进行了优化.通过优选实验确定:奥润磁珠提取效果优于其他两种磁珠;裂解液中盐酸胍的最佳浓度为4 mol·L-1;洗涤液2中乙醇的最佳质量分数为75%.在此基础上,分析评价了优化后的磁珠法核酸提取线性范围、灵敏度、精密度、特异性及抗干扰能力等技术性能.结果显示:稀释104倍后的低浓度病原核酸仍保持较好的扩增效果,变异系数为2.03%,表明建立的磁珠法具有较宽的检测范围,灵敏度高,特异性和抗干扰能力强.本文建立的磁珠法可实现快捷、通用、高纯度、低成本的南美白对虾主要病原的核酸提取.  相似文献

The conventional method for the synthesis of porous cross-linked copolymer beads is by suspension polymerisation. Suspension polymerisation reactions are generally performed in a stirred tank, which generally results in a large size distribution. By careful control of the polymerisation conditions, polymer beads can be produced using a tubular poly(tetrafluoroethylene) continuous reactor. Such beads are produced with the same average pore size, but with a lower degree of polydispersity than analogous systems produced in a batch reactor (stirred tank). This is achieved by density-matching the droplet and continuous phases (by the use of a brominated monomer or a porogenic diluent) and increasing the viscosity of the monomer phase (with the addition of small amounts of polystyrene). 以自制的6.0μm单分散大孔交联聚氯甲基苯乙烯-二乙烯基苯(Poly(4-vinylbenzylchloride-co-divi-nylbenzene),PCMS/DVB)微球为基质和引发剂,CuCl和自行合成的三[(2-二甲基氨基)乙基]胺(Tris[2-(dimeth-ylamino)ethyl]amine,Me6TREN)组成混合催化体系,使4-乙烯基吡啶(4-Vinyl pyridine,4-VP)在甲苯中进行原子转移自由基聚合,制得4-乙烯基吡啶聚合物,单体4-乙烯基吡啶的接枝率为8.55%。将该聚合物与正溴丁烷反应制得新型亲水色谱固定相。在亲水作用色谱模式下,流速1 mL/min,乙腈-水为流动相可分离5种芳胺化合物和4种酚类化合物。在离子交换色谱模式下,6 mmol/L Na2CO3-5.5 mmol/L NaHCO3为淋洗液可分别分离5种无机阴离子和4种短链有机酸。结果表明,此固定相对极性化合物和无机阴离子具有良好的分离性能,是一种性能优异的亲水作用色谱固定相。  相似文献

High strain rate extensional flow of a semidilute polymer solution can result in fragmentation caused by polymer entanglement loss, evidenced by appearance of short nanofibers during electrospinning. The typically desired outcome of electrospinning is long continuous fibers or beads, but, under certain material and process conditions, short nanofibers can be obtained, a morphology that has scarcely been studied. Here we study the conditions that lead to the creation of short nanofibers, and find a distinct parametric space in which they are likely to appear, requiring a combination of low entanglement of the polymer chains and high strain rate of the electrospinning jet. Measurements of the length and diameter of short nanofibers, electrospun from PMMA dissolved in a blend of CHCl3 and DMF, confirm the theoretical prediction that the fragmentation of the jet into short fibers is brought about by elastic stretching and loss of entanglement of the polymer network. The ability to tune nanofiber length, diameter and nanostructure, by modifying variables such as the molar mass, concentration, solvent quality, electric field intensity, and flow rate, can be exploited for improving their mechanical and thermodynamic properties, leading to novel applications in engineering and life sciences. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate-co-acrylamide) (poly(EDGMA-co-AAm)) copolymer beads have been prepared for use in the separation Pb(II), Hg(II), and Cd(II), metal ions in aqueous solution by a batch equilibration technique. Adsorption capacity were increased with pH for Pb(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) and then reached almost plateau value around 6.0. The high initial rate of metal ions uptake (<10 min) suggests that the adsorption occurs mainly at the bead surface. The metal uptake results show that poly(EGDMA-co-AAm) can be used for the adsorption of the following metals in the indicated order: Pb(II) > Cd(II) > Hg(II) expressed on a molar basis. However, when the uptake was expressed in terms of the amount of metal removed from solution was as follows: Pb(II) > Hg(II) > Cd(II). The beads still showed preference toward Pb(II) when this metal was in a mixture with Hg(II) and Cd(II). A linearized form of the Freundlich and the Langmuir isotherm model fits the experimental equilibrium concentration data of Hg(II) and Cd(II) better than isotherm type model of Pb(II). The recovery of the metal ions after adsorption and the regeneration of the adsorbent can be carried out by treatment of the loaded beads with either 0.5 M NaCl, or 1 M HNO3.  相似文献

The adsorption of Pb(II) ions from aqueous solutions by chitosan flakes and beads was studied. The chitosan beads were prepared by casting an acidic chitosan solution into alkaline solution. Experiments were carried out as a function of pH, agitation period and initial concentration of Pb2+ ions. The uptake of Pb2+ ions from aqueous solution was determined from changes in concentration as measured by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The maximum uptake of Pb2+ ions on chitosan beads was greater than that on chitosan flakes. Adsorption isothermal data could be interpreted by the Langmuir equation. The experimental data of the adsorption equilibrium from Pb2+ ion solutions correlated well with the Langmuir isotherm equation. SEM analyses were also conducted for visual examination of the chitosan flakes and beads. Physical properties including surface area and average pore diameter were characterized by N2 adsorption experiment.  相似文献
