Computational analysis of native and modified oligofructosides

This paper presents a quantum chemical calculation of native (2–7 fructoside residues) and chemically modified (2–4 fructoside residues) levan molecule models. A levan modification was carried out by oxidation and the following reduction or hyrdazonation of the fructoside rings. The conformational particularity and reaction ability was studied for the native and for the modified levan molecules.     

Optical current transducer with bulk type Bi12SiO20 faraday sensor for power systems

Two types of optical current transducers (OCTs) have a bulk Faraday sensor inserted into the gap of an iron core and a porcelain insulator with optical fiber. The sensor consists of Bi₁₂SiO₂₀ (BSO) single crystal, a polarizer, and an analyzer. The OCTs satisfied the target performance requirement for fault location and metering and demonstrated maintained performance at some power utilities in Japan and the US. We have developed a fault location system that immediately detects the fault current with the OCTs, there by locating the fault section. The OCT can easily replace the existing support insulators for the disconnecting switch without any modifications to structure height or bus-bar. For metering requiring 0.3% class accuracy, use of a BSO with right optical rotatory power combined with BSO with left optical rotatory power results in a Faraday sensor with improved temperature characteristics. The OCT demonstrated 0.3% class accuracy for metering described in the current transformer Specifications of IEEE C57–13, 1993.     

4-Hydroxy-2-quinolones. 93. Synthesis and biological properties of 2-hydroxy-4-imino-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid N-R-amides

Various methods of synthesizing amides of 2-hydroxy-4-imino-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acids have been studied. Synthesis and studies of antibacterial activity of pongaglabol

Pongaglabol [8-hydroxy-5-phenyl-furo[2,3-h]benzo(b)pyran-7-one] was synthesized and tested for antibacterial effects againstShigella dysenteriae, Salmonella typhi, Streptococcus β-haemolyticus andStaphylococcus aureus. The synthesized compounds were characterized using UV, IR and¹H NMR spectral data     

3-乙氧基-6-取代苯氧基哒嗪除草活性的相关性研究

在分子拓扑理论的基础上,构建了新的结构信息价连接性指数mχY和取代基染色指数I,并用它们研究了3 乙氧基 6 取代苯氧基哒嗪的除草活性pI50与其结构之间的定量关系,给出了相关方程,相关性良好,复相关系数分别为R1=0.9807、R2=0.9926、R3=0.9881,并预测了几个化合物的pI50值,预测值pI50(cal.)与测定值pI50(exp.)相当吻合.新方法计算方便、结果可靠.     

资源有限网络计划的PRWI启发式优化方法

本文在综合考虑了有资源约束的网络计划结构特征、资源强度、时间约束等方面因素的基础上，提出了一种新的资源优化的启发式优化方法—ＰＲＷＩ方法，并通过分析证明了该方法处理问题的效果较现有的其它方法好。     

Mimicking catalase and catecholase enzymes by copper(II)-containing complexes

An imidazolate-bridged copper(II)-zinc(II) complex (Cu(II)-diethylenetriamino-μ-imidazolato-Zn(II)-tris(2-aminoethyl)amine perchlorate (denoted as “Cu,Zn complex”) and a simple copper(II) complex (Cu(II)-tris(2-aminoethyl) amine chloride (“Cu-tren”) were prepared and immobilised on silica gel (by hydrogen or covalent bonds) and montmorillonite (by ion exchange). The immobilised substances were characterised by FT-IR spectroscopy and their thermal characteristics were also studied. The obtained materials were tested in two probe reactions: catalytic oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butyl catechol (DTBC) (catecholase activity) and the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (catalase activity). It was found that the catecholase activity of the Cu,Zn complex increased considerably upon immobilization on silica gel via hydrogen bonds and intercalation by ion exchange among the layers of montmorillonite. The imidazolate-bridged copper(II)-zinc(II) complex and its immobilised versions were inactive in hydrogen peroxide decomposition. The Cu(II)-tris(2-aminoethyl)amine chloride complex displayed good catalase activity; however, immobilisation could not improve it.
