Vanadyl salen complexes covalently anchored to an imidazolium ion as catalysts for the cyanosilylation of aldehydes in ionic liquids

Two vanadyl salen complexes having peripheral styryl substituents have been reacted with 1-methyl-3-(3-mercaptopropyl)-imidazolium chloride using azoisobutyronitrile as radical initiator. The resulting compounds contain at the same time a vanadyl salen complex and one imidazolium cation. In agreement with the expectations in view of their structure, these compounds were insoluble in conventional organic solvents, but completely miscible in imidazolium ionic liquids. These vanadyl salen complexes bonded to an imidazolium cation are highly active and reusable catalysts for the cyanosilylation of aldehydes. Moderate enantiomeric excesses were obtained using the chiral version of this complex.     

Synthesis of substituted 5-aminomethyl tetrahydro-isoquinolines and dihydro-isoindoles

The synthesis of ten substituted aminomethylene tetrahydro-isoquinolines is described, proceeding in eight steps from 5-hydroxyisoquinoline via reductive amination of N-Boc tetrahydro-isoquinoline 5-carboxaldehyde. Likewise, reductive amination was used to prepare four substituted dihydro-isoindoles from the corresponding aldehyde. The dihydro-isoindole ring system was conveniently accessed via a 2+2+2 cycloaddition reaction.     

Reductive coupling of polyfunctionalized organobismuth and organolead arylating reagents in the synthesis of benzopyran derivatives

Benzopyran derivatives were synthesized in good yields by the reactions of tris[2-(chloromethyl)phenyl]bismuth diacetate and 2-(halomethyl)aryllead triacetates with phenols and naturally occurring 4-hydroxycoumarins in the presence of bases according to a three-step one-pot procedure. N-Amino Derivatives of Condensed Imidazole Systems

The previously unknown 1-amino- and 3-aminonaphtho[1,2-d]imidazoles, 1-aminonaphtho[2,3-d]imidazole, 1-aminophenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole and the N-amino-N'-methylimidazolium picrates corresponding to them have been obtained by direct amination of a series of condensed imidazoles with O-picrylhydroxylamine. An X-ray structural investigation of 1-amino-3-methylnaphtho[1,2-d]imidazolium picrate showed that, in difference to 1-aminobenzimidazolium salts, a conformation exists in it in which the hydrogen atoms of the N-NH₂ group are directed to the side of the meso carbon atom.     

Polymeric Pd catalysts for the reduction of acetamidocinnamic acid azlactone and its solvolysis products

Pd complexes have been obtained from linear and cross-linked copolymers ofR,S-, R-, andS-1-(4-vinylphenyl)ethylamine (1) with styrene and divinylbenzene. Reduction of these compounds gave catalysts which were active in the reductive solvolysis of -acetaminocinnamic acid azlactone (2) and hydrogenation of the solvolysis products -acetamidocinnamic acid (ACA), its esters, and its 1-phenylethylamide. The catalysts showed no enantioselective properties in the reductive hydrolysis, but were more active than the catalyst obtained in the absence of the polymer (the monomeric analog). The use of polymeric catalysts has shown that, in reductive aminolysis, the chiral nucleophile plays the dominant part in determining the stereoselectivity of the reaction, rather than the chiral ligand of the catalytic complex. The polymer matrix stabilizes the low-valent state of the palladium in the complex. In the hydrogenation of ACA and its esters, the catalyst on the cross-linked polymer is much more active than its monomeric analog, but showed no enantioselectivity. Hydrogenation of acetamidocinnamic acidR-andS-1-phenylethylamides on a chiral Pd-polymer catalyst occurred with double asymmetric induction.Deceased.N. D. 首次以天然D-樟脑的衍生物为原料, 合成了两个新型龙脑基氨基醇配体, 研究了它们与硼烷原位制备成手性噁唑硼烷后, 在不对称催化氢化还原前手性芳酮中的性能, 得到的手性仲醇的对映体过量(ee)值最高可达96%, 还考察了反应温度、时间、溶剂等因素对苯乙酮的不对称氢化还原的化学产率和光学收率的影响.     

5,6—二亚甲基双环[2.2.1]庚—2—醇及其衍生物的旋光与构型

从（－）－（１Ｓ，２Ｒ，４Ｓ）－５，６－二亚甲基双环［２．２．１］庚－２－醇（Ｉ）和（－）－（１Ｓ，２Ｓ，４Ｓ）－５，６－二亚甲基双环［２．２．１］庚－２－醇（Ⅱ）出发，合成了它们的醚类和取代苯甲酸酯类光学纯的衍生物。通过［α］Ｄ测定和构型分析，发现它们是含有３个手性碳（Ｃ１，Ｃ２和Ｃ４）的桥环化合物，其旋光性与构型的关系均符合可极化度多级圆球不对称性模型。     

Assembled dendritic titanium catalysts for enantioselective hetero-Diels-Alder reaction of aldehydes with Danishefsky's diene

A new type of dendritic 2-amino-2'-hydroxy-1,1'-binaphthyl (NOBIN)-derived Schiff-base ligands have been synthesized and applied to the titanium-catalyzed hetero-Diels-Alder reaction of Danishefsky's diene with aldehydes. These reactions afforded the corresponding 2-substituted 2,3-dihydro-4H-pyran-4-ones in quantitative yields and with excellent enantioselectivities (up to 97.2 % ee). The disposition of the dendritic wedges and the dendron size in the ligands were found to have significant impact on the enantioselectivity of the reaction. The recovered dendritic catalyst could be reused without further addition of the Ti source or a carboxylic acid additive for at least three cycles, retaining similar activity and enantioselectivity. The high stability of this type of assembled dendritic titanium catalyst may be attributed to the stabilization effect of large-sized dendron units in the catalyst molecule. The other important phenomenon observed with this catalyst system is that a higher degree of asymmetric amplification has been achieved by attachment of the dendron unit to the chiral ligand, which represents a new advantage of dendrimer catalysts for asymmetric reactions using chiral ligands of lower optical purity.
