We report a detailed investigation of harmonic generation at microwave frequencies in Ba0.6K0.4BiO3 crystals. Second- and third-harmonic signals are investigated as a function of temperature, external magnetic field and input power level, at temperatures close to Tc. The experimental data are discussed in the framework of a phenomenological theory, based on the two-fluid model, which assumes that the microwave and the static fields, penetrating the sample within the penetration depth, perturb the partial concentrations of the normal and condensate fluids. We show that the enhanced nonlinear effects detected near Tc in Ba0.6K0.4BiO3 and YBa2Cu3O7 crystals may have the same origin. However, in order to account for the experimental data of Ba0.6K0.4BiO3, one needs to involve a distribution of Tc over the crystal. 相似文献

Aqueous solutions of Nal containing CCl4 and MgCl2 at various concentrations were irradiated under air with 1 MHz ultrasound and the yield of I3− was determined. The yield was not affected by MgCl2 at concentrations up to 0.1 M. This contrasts with the finding of Lepoint and co-workers, who reported a sharp minimum in the yield at a MgCl2 concentration of 2.5 × 10−3M, the yield decreased to 60% at 1 M MgCl2, the reason being the lower solubility of CCl4 at high MgCl2 concentrations. In the absence of CCl4, another dependence on the MgCl2 concentration was observed: the yield was not affected up to 1 M, and at higher MgCl2 concentrations the yield rapidly decreased owing to the increased viscosity of the solution. On the basis of these observations, there is no strong reason to postulate an electrical mechanism for the initiation of chemical reactions in the cavitation bubbles. 相似文献

Studies of carbon-13 and carbon-14 kinetic isotope effects (K. I. E.) in the decarbonylation of lactic acid (L. A.) in sulphuric acid and in phosphoric acids media have been summarized and compared with earlier studies of 14C and 13C K. I. E. in the decarbonylation of formic and oxalic acids in concentrated sulphuric acid. Supplementary data concerning the decarbonylation of L. A. in sulphuric acid diluted with water and in pyrophosphoric acid are presented and discussed. The observed temperature dependences of 13C and 14C K. I. E. in concentrated H2SO4 and in concentrated phosphoric acids media have been rationalized by invoking a change of the mechanism of decarbonylation of L. A. in concentrated sulphuric and phosphoric acids with temperature. Preliminary calculational results concerning 13C and 1??C K. I. E. in decarbonylation processes are also presented. In H2SO4 diluted with water and in H3PO4 diluted with water the temperature dependence of 13C and 14C K. I. E. is normal and well reproduced by one frequency approximation. In concentrated sulphuric acid and in concentrated phosphoric acids besides the C—OH bond rupture the rupture of a C—C bond had to be considered also to reproduce the observed 13C K. I. We apply the density matrix theory to re-investigate the radiative
electron capture into heavy ions with one valence electron. Attention
has been paid particularly to the magnetic sublevel population of the
residual ions, as described in terms of alignment parameters. Simple
method, based on an independent particle model, which takes
into account the Pauli principle, is proposed for evaluating the
alignment of the excited ionic states. By making use of this method,
detailed calculations are performed for electron capture into (initially) hydrogen-like and lithium-like europium, gold and
uranium ions, and are compared with the results of the multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock approach.As seen from the calculations
and from the comparison with available experimental results, the independent particle model provides a good estimate for the
alignment parameters of few-electron heavy ions. Therefore, our simple model may help to understand the basic properties of
the X-ray emission from heavy, few-electron ions without the need for invoking sophisticated MCDF calculations. 相似文献

In this paper we find and present on diagrams in the coordinates of η=2t1/t0 (the ratio of the second and the first nearest
neighbor hopping integrals) and n (the carrier concentration) the
areas of stability for the superconducting spin-singlet s-
and d-wave and the spin-triplet p-wave order
parameters hatching out during the phase transition from the normal
to the superconducting phase. The diagrams are obtained for an
anisotropic two-dimensional superconducting system with a relatively
wide partially-filled conduction band. We study a tight-binding
model with an attractive nearest neighbor interaction with the
amplitude V1, and the on-site interaction (with the amplitude
V0) taken either as repulsive or attractive. The problem of the
coexistence of the s-, p- and d-wave order
parameters is addressed and solved for chosen values of the ratio
V0/V1. A possible island of stability of the d-wave
order parameter in the s-wave order parameter environment for
a relatively strong on-site interaction is revealed. The triple
points, around which the s-, d-, and p-wave
order parameters coexist, are localized on diagrams. It is shown
that results of the calculations performed for the two-dimensional
tight-binding band model are dissimilar with some obtained within

We review and extend the composite fermion theory for semiconductor quantum dots in high magnetic fields. The mean-field model
of composite fermions is unsatisfactory for the qualitative physics at high angular momenta.
Extensive numerical calculations demonstrate that the microscopic CF theory,
which incorporates interactions between composite fermions, provides an excellent qualitative and quantitative account
of the quantum dot ground state down to the largest angular momenta studied,
and allows systematic improvements by inclusion of mixing between composite
