A comprehensive experimental investigation of the inverse microsuspension polymerization of acrylamide using an oil-soluble initiator and a block copolymeric surfactant whose hydrophobic miety is poly(12-hydroxystearic acid) and whose hydrophilic moeity is polyethylene oxide was carried out. It was found that the initial polymerization rate was first order with respect to molar monomer concentration, first order with respect to molar initiator concentration and zeroth order with respect to molar emulsifier concentration. Based on these experimental findings, a mechanism was proposed which includes initiation, propagation transfer to monomer and termination. It also includes transfer to impurities which are believed to be found in the surfactant. The kinetic model developed from the proposed mechanism is found to be in good agreement with the experimental conversion and weight-average molecular weight data. Comparing with sorbitan esters of fatty acids, the copolymeric surfactant provides higher polymerization rate and very high and linear molecular weight comparable to those obtained by solution polymerization. 相似文献

A calorimetric study of kinetics and thermodynamics of the attack of a synthetic fluorapatite by a mixture of sulfuric and phosphoric acids is undertaken at 55 °C. The global enthalpy of the attack equals −409.3 kJ/mol. The recorded thermograms show two peaks leading to calcium sulfate hemihydrate and dihydrate, respectively. The deconvoluted curves were analysed iteratively. A kinetic mechanism based on simultaneous reactions has been proposed for the first peak and confirmed thermochemically by comparing the enthalpies deduced from iteration and that determined from experimental and calculated routes. The second peak of the thermogram was attributed to transformation of calcium sulfate hemihydrate into gypsum according to a dissolution/precipitation scheme. 用测定骨矿盐含量的方法,分析了复方丹参合剂(三种不同剂量)对切除双侧卵巢后的大鼠骨矿盐代谢的影响。将健康4月龄雌性SD大鼠36只,随机分成6组:A组(正常对照组);B组(假去卵巢组);C组(去卵巢组);D组(去卵巢 合剂小剂量组);E组(去卵巢 合剂中等剂量组);F组(去卵巢 合剂大剂量组)。去卵巢手术后1 d开始,连续用药11周。结果表明,去卵巢大鼠骨干质量、干质量/体质量、骨灰质量、骨灰质量/体质量、骨灰质量占骨干质量比等均明显降低,复方丹参合剂可使去卵巢大鼠降低的骨干质量、骨干质量/体质量、骨灰质量、骨灰质量/体质量、骨灰质量占骨干质量比等均显著回升。提示复方丹参合剂具有良好的对抗由于去卵巢引起骨矿盐含量降低和骨丢失作用。 相似文献

Shaped tetragonal barium titanate (BaTiO3) particles were prepared by the sol-emulsion-gel method with systematic variation of the concentration of a non-ionic surfactant in the organic phase (oil phase) of water-in-oil (w/o) emulsions above or below the critical micelle concentration (CMC). An acetate-based sol with equivalent oxide ratio BaO : TiO2 = 1 : 1 was selected for the study. Micelle formation of the surfactant and their self-aggregation apparently played an important role in controlling the shape and size of the droplets and accordingly shape and size of the final barium titanate particles resulting therefrom. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed that with low concentration of the surfactant (2–5 vol%) ill-formed spheres were obtained. Spherical particles were formed with increasing the surfactant concentration to 7 vol%. At 12 vol% of the surfactant, rod-like particles were first found to form, which with further increase in surfactant concentration to 15–20 vol%, gradually transformed to cube-like/lamellar type particles. Speeds of sound of the ternary mixtures cyclohexane+1,3-dioxolane+2-butanol and n-hexane+1,3-dioxolane+2-butanol have been
measured at the temperatures of 298.15 and 313.15 K. Isentropic compressibilities and excess isentropic compressibilities
have been calculated from experimental data. We have also compared the experimental isentropic compressibilities with calculated
values from the free length theory and the collision factor theory. Experimental results show positive values of excess isentropic
compressibilities in almost the whole composition range for the ternary mixture containing cyclohexane, meanwhile they are
negative for the mixture containing n-hexane. Such different behaviour of these systems is related to the large free volume shown by n-hexane.

For preparing O/W miniemulsions containing soybean oil and silicone oil, three methods, phase inversion emulsification, D-phase emulsification, reformed D-phase emulsification were tested by using Brij92, 97, 98 and Tween 80, 85, 60, 20 and Span 80, 60 mixed surfactants. It was found that the O/W miniemulsions of soybean oil and silicone oil can not be formed by phase inversion emulsification method, but can be formed by the two other methods. The results of emulsification showed that if gel emulsion, in which fine oil droplets disperse in continuous phase with high surfactant content, appears during the emulsification process, the O/W miniemulsions can be formed by simply diluting with water. 相似文献

By using the binary anionic/cationic surfactants system CH3(CH2)nOSO_3/CH3(CH2)nN (CH3)3 as an ex-ample, the molecular exchanging energy (ε) of adsorption on the surface monolayer of aqueous solu-tion has been studied. ε can be obtained with two methods. One is from the relationship between ε and the molecule interaction parameter (β). This relationship is founded by considering that the adsorption of mixed surfactants on the surface monolayer of solution satisfies the dimensional crystal model condition under which β can be obtained by testing the surface tension of solution. The other is directly from the molecular structure of surfactants with the Lennard-Jones formula. The results for the studied system show that these two methods coincide well. 相似文献

In this article the results obtained with latexes prepared by emulsion polymerization with a conventional surfactant and a polymerizable surfactant (surfmer) are presented. For this study, well‐defined styrene‐butylacrylate latexes with a conventional nonreactive surfactant (sodium dodecyl sulfate) and a maleate diester surfmer, of which films can be easily cast, were used. The latex with the surfmer was prepared following a surfmer addition strategy to maximize the amount of surfmer bound to the particle surface, and not buried in the particle interior. The latex properties in terms of mechanical stability, film‐water absorption, and film‐surfactant exudation were assessed and compared. The mechanical stability and water‐absorption properties of the latex prepared with surfmer were better than those of the latex with sodium dodecyl sulfate. Additionally, by using a surfmer the surfactant migration to the film‐substrate and film‐air interfaces can be inhibited. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
