Analysis of BPSK homodyne receivers based on modified balanced optical phase-locked loop in the presence of non-negligible loop propagation delay

Optical homodyne receivers based on modified balanced optical phase-locked loop is analyzed taking into account loop propagation delay. This modified loop contains all the components of a standard BOPLL in conjunction of an additional phase modulator. This modified loop offers a much improved tracking performance and also shows good improvements in the reduction performance over previously reported methods, like, relaxed line-width requirement and improved lock-in range. This study for the first time shows the imperfect-phase-recovery-induced power penalty as a function of laser line-width with the optimum phase deviations in the presence of non-negligible loop propagation delay. It is found that in order to maintain a 10⁻¹⁰ BER system performance with ξ = 1, R = 1 A/W, P_R = −53 dBm, Δυ = 1 MHz, phase modulator sensitivity K_PM = 10 rad/V and 10° phase deviation between the two transmitted bits, the loop delay must be kept below 3 ns. Further, the required line-width with the non-negligible loop delay time is evaluated and found to be (2.1 × 10⁻³)/τ, where τ (s) is the loop delay. This number corresponds to BER = 10⁻¹⁰, imperfect phase recovery power penalty of 1 dB and phase modulator sensitivity K_PM = 20 rad/V.     

Evaluation of the mechanical properties of PMC interface using slice compression test — Analysis of transfer mechanism of interfacial shear stress

Properties of the fiber/matrix interface in SiO₂/epoxy and SiC/epoxy composite are investigated using the slice compression test (SCT) for the single fiber, where the specimen is loaded and unloaded between a plate which has different mechanical properties. It is found that the interfacial debonding proceeds from the polished surface at a soft plate side and that the fiber protrusion occurs after unloading. The fiber-protrusion length is directly measured at each applied stress level using a scanning electron microscope. Interfacial shear-sliding stress is obtained based on the constant shear-sliding stress analysis employing the obtained protrusion length. It is demonstrated that the value of interfacial shear-sliding stress shows good agreement with that obtained from another technique, the push-out test, on the same system. The relation between the fiber-protrusion length and applied stress is proportional to a certain extent. From this result, it is analytically pointed out that the applied stress has a limiting value in this SCT because of Poisson's effect. Also, two interfacial debonding criteria, which are determined analytically for the PMC, are discussed.

研究了高位振动态RbH(Х1Σ+,v″=15-21)与CO2碰撞转移过程。脉冲激光激发RbH至高位态,利用激光感应荧光 光谱(LIF)得到RbH(Х1Σ+,v″)与CO2的猝灭速率系数,。利用激光泛频光谱技术,测量了CO2(0000,J)高转动态分布。得到了转动温度,从而获得了平均转动能和转动能的变化<ΔErot>,发现。对于v"=16,证实了振动—振动能量转移的4-1近共振过程。在一次碰撞条件下,通过速率方程分析,得到RH(v")-CO2振转速率系数。对于v"=15,J=32-48,速率系数在1.25-0.33×10-13cm3s-1.之间,对于v"=21,速率系数在2.47-1. 53×10-13cm3s-1之间,其能量相关性是明显的。     

恒虚警率采样粒子滤波技术及其应用研究

粒子滤波是一种基于蒙特卡洛思想的非线性、非高斯滤波器,其一般采用重要性采样进行粒子采样。但重要性采样容易出现粒子退化现象。解决粒子样本退化问题一般采用重采样。重采样虽然解决了样本的退化问题,同时又引入了采样贫瘠问题。本文根据海洋混响的统计特性和混响中目标的恒虚警率检测原理,提出了恒虚警率采样粒子滤波技术,恒虚警率采样粒子滤波技术使采样粒子尽可能集中在目标附近,有效地描述目标后验概率,降低了粒子数,减小了计算量。本文将此技术应用到海洋混响中的声纳目标跟踪中,既解决了传统卡尔曼滤波在声纳目标跟踪中的非线性、非高斯问题,又解决了粒子滤波的粒子退化及采样贫瘠问题。文中对高分辨率声纳目标数据进行了滤波跟踪,结果验证了本文方法的有效性。     

大气压冷等离子体射流灭活子宫颈癌Hela细胞

研究了大气压冷等离子体射流对子宫颈癌Hela细胞的灭活机制. 在倒置显微镜下观察不同等离子体处理条件下的细胞形态, 并通过中性红吸收测试定量测定各个条件下的细胞存活率. 将功率维持在18 W, 在900 mL/min 氩等离子体中添入氧气的百分含量分别为1%, 2%, 4% 和8%的条件下处理Hela细胞, 探讨活性气体氧气在惰性气体氩气中的百分含量对Hela癌细胞灭活效率的影响, 发现添加2%氧气时, 氩/氧等离子体灭活效果最佳, 处理180 s后细胞存活率可降至7%. 当继续添加氧超过2%时, 灭活效果逐渐减弱, 直至8%时, 其效果反而不如单纯氩等离子体. 通过测量等离子体发射光谱, 结果表明活性氧自由基在癌细胞灭活过程中可能起关键作用. 关键词： 大气压冷等离子体射流 Hela癌细胞 存活率 发射光谱

本文研究在单位圆周{|z| =1}上一致逼近函数f(z)及其导数,利用Hermite插值中的基函数建立复有理型插值,并证明它们在{|z| =1}上分别一致收敛于f(z)或f′(z) ,给出了收敛速度.     

Extreme-value dependence: An application to exchange rate markets

Extreme value theory (EVT) focuses on modeling the tail behavior of a loss distribution using only extreme values rather than the whole data set. For a sample of 10 countries with dirty/free float regimes, we investigate whether paired currencies exhibit a pattern of asymptotic dependence. That is, whether an extremely large appreciation or depreciation in the nominal exchange rate of one country might transmit to another. In general, after controlling for volatility clustering and inertia in returns, we do not find evidence of extreme-value dependence between paired exchange rates. However, for asymptotic-independent paired returns, we find that tail dependency of exchange rates is stronger under large appreciations than under large depreciations.
