The synthesis and catalytic applications of trivalent rare-earth metal alkyl complexes have been well developed, but the chemistry of divalent rare-earth metal alkyl complexes lagged much behind. Herein, we report the synthesis, structure, and catalytic applications of a samarium(II) monoalkyl complex supported by a β-diketiminato-based tetradentate ligand, [LSmCH(SiMe3)2] (L=[MeC(NDipp)CHC(Me)NCH2CH2N(Me)CH2CH2NMe2], Dipp=2,6-(iPr)2C6H3). This complex is synthesized by the salt metathesis reaction of samarium iodide [LSm(μ-I)]2 and KCH(SiMe3)2 in 63 % yield. Its structure is characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, showing a distorted square-pyramid coordination geometry. This samarium(II) monoalkyl complex exhibits high catalytic activity in the hydrosilylation of aryl and methyl-substituted unsymmetrical internal alkynes with secondary hydrosilanes, selectively providing the α-(E) products in high yields.  相似文献

In this article, 10‐undecenoic acid, based on castor oil, was used a raw material for the synthesis of alternating copolymers. ω‐Unsaturated fatty esters as alkyl 10‐undecenoates were prepared by the esterification reaction of 10‐undecenoic acid with alkyl alcohol. A series of comb‐like copolymers were synthesized by free radical polymerization from maleic anhydride and alkyl 10‐undecenoates copolymers with different length of alkyl side chains in a toluene solution. These copolymers were investigated by 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The copolymers were obtained in a low molecular weight in a range 3370–12,240 g mol−1 and their structural characterization indicated the formation of alternating copolymers. DSC characterization revealed that these comb‐like copolymers showed amorphous to semicrystalline behavior by increasing the length of side chains. The bio‐based comb‐like copolymers allow for the development of new polymeric materials for several applications. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Free volume quantities proposed earlier by Boyer and Simha in connection with the glass transition are reformulated by taking into account the temperature dependence of the thermal expansivities α l and αg for the liquid and the glass, respectively. This necessitates an extrapolation of the liquid to temperatures below Tg which is performed by means of the reduced volume-temperature function established and given a theoretical foundation previously. For the glass, low temperature experimental data, encompassing all relaxations occuring below Tg, are required.

Two polymer series are examined in detail, namely, poly(methacrylates) and poly(vinyl) alkyl ethers, where αg has been measured between at least 30°K and Tg. Results for poly(methylacrylate) and poly(styrene) are also given. The systematic decrease in the product (αl - αg) · T|T=Tg with increasing length of the side chain noted previously is considerably reduced but not eliminated when the appropriately corrected expression is substituted instead. However, the free volume fraction related to the quantity αlT|T=Tg remains more nearly invariant in the polymers analyzed.

An alternative treatment is discussed which considers an occupied volume expanding below Tg by a mechanism of thermal vibrations solely. Experimental and theoretical means of obtaining this quantity arc suggested.  相似文献

A two-step convenient sequence for the synthesis of previously inaccessible mono-Boc-protected bis-N-heterocyclic alkyl substituted ether derivatives 4 is described. Mitsunobu protocol was applied to the preparation of pyridinyl ether precursor 5. The reduction of the electron rich pyridinyl system 5 has been achieved catalytically using the combination of PtO2-H2SO4 or PtO2-pTsOH under a hydrogen atmosphere maintained by a gas balloon at ambient temperature.  相似文献

Summary The separation of C1–C4 alkyl tert-butyl ethers with the general formula (CH3)3C–O–R (R-alkyl substituent) on fused-silica capillary columns coated with dimethylsilicone and cyanopropylmethylsilicone stationary phases was investigated. Several 2‐alkylquinolizinium‐1‐olates 9 , i.e., heterobetaines, were prepared from ketone 11 , the latter being readily available either from pyridine‐2‐carbaldehyde via a Grignard reaction, followed by oxidation with MnO2, or from 2‐picolinic acid (=pyridine‐2‐carboxylic acid) via the corresponding Weinreb amide and subsequent Grignard reaction. Mesoionic heterobetaines such as quinolizinium derivatives have the potential to undergo cycloaddition reactions with double and triple bonds, e.g., 1,3‐dipolar cycloadditions or Diels? Alder reactions. We here report on the scope and limitations of cycloaddition reactions of 2‐alkylquinolizinium‐1‐olates 9 with electron‐poor acetylene derivatives. As main products of the reaction, 5‐oxopyrrolo[2,1,5‐de]quinolizines (=‘[2.3.3]cyclazin‐5‐ones’) 19 were formed via a regioselective [2+3] cycloaddition, and cyclohexadienone derivatives, formed via a Diels? Alder reaction, were obtained as side products. The structures of 2‐benzylquinolizinium‐1‐olate ( 9a ) and two ‘[2.3.3]cyclazin‐5‐ones’ 19i and 19l were established by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

A new route to lactide, which is a key building block of the bioplastic polylactic acid, is proposed involving a continuous catalytic gas‐phase transesterification of renewable alkyl lactates in a scalable fixed‐bed setup. Supported TiO2/SiO2 catalysts are highly selective to lactide, with only minimal lactide racemization. The solvent‐free process allows for easy product separation and recycling of unconverted alkyl lactates and recyclable lactyl intermediates. The catalytic activity of TiO2/SiO2 catalysts was strongly correlated to their optical properties by DR UV/Vis spectroscopy. Catalysts with high band‐gap energy of the supported TiO2 phase, indicative of a high surface spreading of isolated Ti centers, show the highest turnover frequency per Ti site.  相似文献
