A short synthesis of 4-amino-3-hydroxybutyric acid (GABOB) via allyl cyanide

4-Amino-3-hydroxybutyric acid was synthesized from allyl cyanide in four steps in an overall yield of 38%. Ultrasonically promoted epoxidation of allyl cyanide with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid giving oxiranylacetonitrile was used as a key step.     

Vapor pressure,speciation, and chemical activities in highly concentrated sodium borate solutions at 277 and 317°C

The system H₂O-B₂O₃-Na₂O has been studied experimentally at 277 and 317°C. The activities of water and boric acid have been determined at mole ratios Na/B from 0 to 1.5, and total dissolved solids 3 to 80 weight percent. The activity of boric acid has been fitted to within experimental error using a speciation model with eight complex species. This model is consistent with the model previously published by Mesmer et al. The electrolyte properties of the liquid are modeled using the Pitzer-Simonson model of very concentrated electrolyte solutions. The calculated values of water activity agree with experiment, and the activity of NaOH and pOH have also been calculated. The potassium borate system also was briefly studied at 317°C, and is adequately described by a model with five complex species. The potassium borate liquid is more alkaline at K/B= 1 than a sodium borate liquid at the same mole ratio, but pOH in the two systems is the same at lower mole ratios.     

Microwave-accelerated derivatization processes for the determination of phenolic acids by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

A rapid method for the derivatization of phenolic antioxidants using microwave irradiation has been developed. Six antioxidatively active phenolic components of wines and fruits, namely gallic acid, gentisic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid and p-coumaric acid were used in the model study. The solution of phenolic acids was evaporated to dryness on a rotary evaporator followed by further drying under microwave irradiation (600 W, 30 s). The resultant residue was dissolved in pyridene and treated with bis(trimethylsilyl)acetamide while irradiated by microwave using high power for 30 s. Controlled reaction was carried out employing bis(trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide under conventional heating for 30 min. The trimethylsilyl derivatives were identified and quantified on a gas chromatography/mass selective detector. The mass spectral fragmentation patterns of the derivatives obtained by microwave irradiation were identical to those prepared by heating. The yields of microwave-assisted silylation were comparable to those from conventional heating. The rsd were less than 8% for six replicates. The linearity in wine matrix was nearly perfect. This method is a useful protocol to examine the phenolic constituents in wines and agricultural products.

Synthesis of macrocyclic tetraamides derived from α-amino acids and their investigations using ESI-MS technique

Chiral α,ω-diesters react under high-pressure conditions (10 kbar) with α,ω-diamines to give chiral cyclic tetraamides of C₂-symmetry. The complexation properties of tetraamides towards alkali metal cations (Li⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, Rb⁺ and Cs⁺) were estimated on the basis of ESI-MS spectra.     

过渡金属离子对HPAsMoVO杂多酸的氧化性能的影响

用H2-TPR方法研究了过渡金属离子及其含量对杂多酸-HxPAs0.2Mo10VOy的氧化性能的影响,并在固定床反应器上考察了M0.2HxPAs0.2Mo10VOy(M=Fe3 、Co2 、N i2 和Cu2 )催化剂对异丁烷选择性氧化的催化性能.研究结果表明用过渡金属离子取代杂多酸中的质子,可以在较大程度上增强杂多酸的低温氧化能力,其中Fe3 对增强杂多酸的催化活性最为明显,而Cu2 却有利于提高目的产物甲基丙烯酸的选择性.     

Polymerization of vinyl acetate in fatty acids and properties of poly (vinyl alcohols) derived from the poly (vinyl acetates)

Polymerization of vinyl acetate (VAc) in various fatty acids (carbon numbers 4–18) was carried out. Chain transfer constants to the acids were determined to be 20–35×10^–4, from which the constant to a methylene group was obtained to be 0.73×10^–4. Viscometry in aqueous solution of derived poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) showed the usual behavior in terms of Huggins constant obtained by the Schulz–Blaschkes equation for PVAs derived from fatty acid systems lower than hexadecanoic acid. PVA derived from octadecanoic acid system showed abnormality, indicating association of alkyl groups. Contact angles on surfaces of PVAs cast from aqueous solutions were measured. While those of PVA derived from lower acid systems were 62°, those of PVAs derived from higher aids were higher and increased to 92° with increase in carbon number to octadecanoic acid. Alkyl groups in the PVAs were estimated to appear on the surfaces. Surface tension of aqueous solution of the PVA derived from octadecanoic acid showed high surface activity, and depended on pH of the solution, indicating the presence and cleavage of lactone ring at the combined portion between PVA and the acid.     

Direct synthesis of new arylanthranilic acids via a Suzuki cross-coupling reaction from iodoisatins

Direct synthesis of new arylanthranilic acids via a Suzuki cross-coupling reaction with iodoisatins as key intermediates is described. A ‘one pot’ procedure is proposed.     

小肽修饰的PAMAM树枝状化合物的生物活性

合成了甘氨酸 (Gly) 天冬氨酸 (Asp)组成的肽链Gly Asp、Gly Asp Gly Asp、Gly Asp (Gly Asp) 2 .分别将天冬氨酸及上述合成的肽链引入到聚酰胺 胺型树枝状化合物 (PAMAM)的表面 .对所得化合物进行了分子模拟 ,结果表明Gly Asp (Gly Asp) 2 肽链在PAMAM表面可形成接近于 β sheet的构象 .由实验得知 ,经Asp、Gly Asp、Gly Asp Gly Asp、Gly Asp (Gly Asp) 2 修饰的PAMAM树枝状化合物对抗坏血酸还原FeⅢ 细胞色素C(cytc)的反应有干扰作用 ,导致该反应速率下降 .这说明所合成的化合物与cytc有较好的结合能力 .特别是Gly Asp (Gly Asp) 2 修饰的PAMAM ,其与cytc的结合常数为 1 6ⅹ 1 0 5.     

钙羧酸钠褪色光度法测定微量碘的研究

提出了以钙羧酸钠褪色光度法测定微量碘的新方法。在盐酸介质中 ,表面活性剂十六烷基三甲基溴化铵 (CTMAB)存在下 ,碘酸根离子定量氧化钙羧酸钠褪色。最大吸收波长λmax=5 95nm ,表观摩尔吸光系数ε =3.1× 10 4 L·mol-1·cm-1。碘浓度在 0～ 5 0 μg 2 5ml范围内服从比耳定律。方法用于加碘食盐中碘的测定 ,结果满意
