Some Conversions of Thiazoline Carboxylic Acid Esters

We have carried out solvolysis of the previously described ethyl esters of 3-methyl(aryl)-4-methyl-2-thioxothiazoline-5-carboxylic acids, leading to the corresponding acids without breaking down the heterocycle. We synthesized a series of novel esters from the latter by treatment with dimethyl sulfate or reactive halides. Of these, only in the case of the ethyl ester of 3,4-dimethyl-2-thioxothiazoline-5-carboxylic acid did we obtain the hydrazinolysis product (the hydrazide), from which we synthesized novel hydrazones by treatment with aldehydes and ketones.     

Reaction of 3-Benzoyl-2,3-dibromopropionic Acid with Substituted ortho-Phenylenediamines

3-Benzoyl-2,3-dibromopropionic acid reacts with 4-substituted o-phenylenediamines to give 3-aryl-2-carboxymethylene-1,2-dihydroquinoxalines.     

Comparison of chemical properties of food products processed by conventional and ohmic heating

The effect of ohmic and conventional heat processing of different food products on their chemical and physical parameters was studied. Depending on the food being analysed, parameters such as pH, total solids, ash, titratable acidity, ascorbic acid, total sugars, total fatty acids, total phenolic compounds, and anthocyanins content were determined before and after ohmic and conventional pasteurization techniques and the results were compared using one-way analysis of variance. In goat milk samples treated by ohmic technology the pH value (6.58) and total fatty acids content in milk fat (86.5 mass %) were comparable to those found in milk treated by conventional process, however, ohmically treated samples presented a lower content of lactic acid, 0.13 %. In cloudberry jam samples treated by ohmic technology the results of some of the main parameters tested, such as total sugar content 46.1 mass %, ascorbic acid content 2.83 mass %, and titratable acidity 6.01 mass % (as citric acid) did not show significant differences when compared with samples treated by conventional technology. Adsorption Equilibrium and Kinetics of Egg-White Proteins on Immobilized Metal Ion Affinity Gels for Designing Fractionation

Designing an Immobilized Metal ion Affinity (IMA) chromatographic process on large scale demands a thorough understanding to be developed regarding the adsorption behaviour of proteins on metal loaded IMA (IMA-M(II)) gels and the characteristic adsorption parameters to be evaluated. This research investigation illustrates the significance of these aspects for the proposed fractionation of chicken egg-white proteins on these gels. Consequently, a systematic investigation of the adsorption characteristics of three chicken egg-white proteins viz., ovalbumin, conalbumin and lysozyme on Cu(II) and Ni(II) loaded IMA gels, iminodiacetate (IDA) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TREN), has been undertaken. These gels differ in their selectivity towards the proteins of interest under the identical sets of experimental conditions. While TREN-Ni(II) was selective only for lysozyme, IDA-Cu(II), IDA-Ni(II) and TREN-Cu(II) showed varying affinities for all the three proteins. The equilibrium and kinetic data were analysed using various theoretical models and adsorption parameters were quantified. On the basis of these investigations, various strategies have been proposed for the efficient large-scale fractionation of chicken egg-white proteins on these gels.     

Correct structures of Diels-Alder adducts from the natural cyclolignan thuriferic acid and its 8-epimer

A detailed analysis of one- and two-dimensional ¹H and ¹³C NMR data for the endo and the exo adducts, obtained by Diels-Alder reaction of thuriferic and epithuriferic acids with cyclopentadiene is described. The unequivocal spectral data assignment of the endo and exo structures was complemented with molecular modelling studies and confirmed through X-ray diffraction studies.     

异烟酸在银溶胶上的表面增强喇曼散射及影响因素

本文研究了异烟酸吸附在银溶胶表面的表面增强喇曼散射(SERS)光谱以及卤素离子、溶液pH值及溶液浓度对异烟酸SERS光谱的影响。文章提出了离子在银溶胶表面的吸附方式,即主要以—COO~-端吸附于银溶胶表面。最后,对所述实验现象作了定性讨论。     

Nonenzymatic Glucose Detection with Good Selectivity Against Ascorbic Acid on a Highly Porous Gold Electrode Subjected to Amalgamation Treatment

A nonenzymatic glucose sensor with good selectivity for the ascorbic acid oxidation is presented. After the gold polycrystalline electrode was subjected to amalgamation treatment, two advantageous effects were observed. One is the enhancement of the surface roughness and the other is an increase in the catalytic current in the glucose oxidation. Besides the known first effect, the latter provided another advantageous effect in a fabrication of nonenzymatic glucose sensor. Using a gold electrode subjected to amalgamation treatment for 60 s, two calibration curves for glucose oxidation at two different potentials of ?0.1 V and 0.25 V were obtained and compared. At the potential of ?0.1 V, at which no ascorbic acid was oxidized and no interference effect was observed, a current sensitivity of 16 μA cm^?2 mM^?1 from zero to 10 mM glucose concentration range was obtained. At the other potential of 0.25 V, at which ascorbic acid was easily oxidized, a satisfactory calibration curve with negligible ascorbic acid interference was also obtained together with a more enhanced current sensitivity of 32 μA cm^?2 mM^?1.     

Gas phase nitration of benzene by nitric acid on ZSM-5 zeolite

Gas phase nitration of benzene on ZSM-5 zeolite has been studied at 140–170°C. Increase in the HNO₃/C₆H₆ ratio of the starting mixture was shown to increase the nitrobenzene yield. Process parameters worsened with time since reagents and products were strongly adsorbed and left the zeolite surface only at 220–250°C as CO, CO₂ and NO.     

氯化铯和氯化镧溶剂体系及四类新化合物的合成
