Low-field microwave absorption has been measured as a function of magnetic field in a series of thin film structures exhibiting or not exhibiting the giant magnetoresistance effect (GMR). We have examined experimentally the motional spectrum of an electron cloud confined in a Penning trap. When the axial oscillation
is excited by a radio frequency field the resonance exhibits a double structure. Both components depend differently on the
number of trapped electrons and have different shape and width. We conclude that one of them corresponds to the excitation
of the individual electrons while the other is the center-of-mass mode of the cloud. The threshold behaviour of the center-of-mass
resonance suggests that it is a parametric instability of a Mathieu type equation of motion.

Phenolic compounds are secondary metabolites involved in plant adaptation processes. The development of extraction procedures, quantification, and identification of this compounds in habanero pepper (Capsicum chinense) leaves can provide information about their accumulation and possible biological function. The main objective of this work was to study the effect of the UAE method and the polarity of different extraction solvents on the recovery of phenolic compounds from C. chinense leaves. Quantification of the total phenolic content (TPC), antioxidant activity (AA) by ABTS+ and DPPH radical inhibition methods, and the relation between the dielectric constant (ε) as polarity parameter of the solvents and TPC using Weibull and Gaussian distribution models was analyzed. The major phenolic compounds in C. chinense leaves extracts were identified and quantified by UPLC-PDA-ESI-MS/MS. The highest recovery of TPC (24.39 ± 2.41 mg GAE g−1 dry wt) was obtained using MeOH (50%) by UAE method. Correlations between TPC and AA of 0.89 and 0.91 were found for both radical inhibition methods (ABTS+ and DPPH). The Weibull and Gaussian models showed high regression values (0.93 to 0.95) suggesting that the highest phenolic compounds recovery is obtained using solvents with “ε” values between 35 and 52 by UAE. The major compounds were identified as N-caffeoyl putrescine, apigenin, luteolin and diosmetin derivatives. The models presented are proposed as a useful tool to predict the appropriate solvent composition for the extraction of phenolic compounds from C. chinense leaves by UAE based on the “ε” of the solvents for future metabolomic studies. 相似文献

In order to investigate the effects of thermoultrasonic treatment (TUT) on the formation of colloidal micro-nano particles (MNPs) and the quality of halibut bone soup, nutrients, particle characteristics, and flavor characteristics were analyzed. The morphology of MNPs was studied using an optical microscope. Results showed that TUT could increase the nutrient content (total sugars, 22.15 mg/100 mL; water soluble proteins, 173.24 mg/mL; fatty acids, 1779.7 mg/100 mL; solids, 3.16 g/100 mL), reduce the particle size (605.92 nm) and interfacial tension. Meanwhile, TUT make the halibut bone soup has better emulsifying characteristics and stability. The contents of flavor substances, such as esters, 5′-nucleotides, organic acids in the halibut bone soup were more abundant, while the contents of hexanal and 1-octen-3-ol and fishy off-flavor were reduced in TUT group. The overall odor and taste outline were more harmonious. Therefore, TUT can be used in the production of high quality fish bone soup, and TUT could be considered as a good deep processing technology for halibut bone and improve economic efficiency. 相似文献

Polycrystalline SrCo1·2Fe10·8O19 (SCFO) and SrMn1·2Fe10·8O19 (SMFO) samples were prepared by the normal ceramic technique. Powder X-ray diffraction patterns indicated the crystallization in the M-type hexaferrite structure of the samples. X-ray absorption analyses proved Co2+ and Mn3+,4+ ions existing in SCFO and SMFO, respectively. Though Fe3+ is dominant in both the compounds, small amounts of Fe2+ and Fe4+ are present in SCFO and SMFO, respectively. Mössbauer spectra analyses also confirmed the dominance of Fe3+ in both the samples. Additionally, Fe3+ ions in the 12 k, 4f1, 4f2, and 2a sites could be attributed to the high-spin state (S = 5/2). A large QS value for the sextet assigned to the 2b site indicated that in this case Fe3+ could be in the low-spin state (S = 1/2) or there was the addition of Fe2+ (or Fe4+) when Fe in SrFe12O19 was partially replaced by Co2+ (or Mn3+,4+). The mixture of transition-metal ions with different oxidation states influenced the magnetic properties and microwave shielding ability. At frequencies f = 10–18 GHz, we have found SCFO showing the lowest reflection loss with RL = −11.1 dB at 13.2 GHz and the thickness t = 2.2 mm. With an absorption bandwidth of 0.7 GHz, and about 92% microwave energy being absorbed, SCFO is considered as a potential candidate for microwave shielding applications. 相似文献

Inverse bremsstrahlung (collisional) absorption of the laser beam is studied in plasma with a generalized (q-nonextensive) electron velocity distribution and some kind of generalized electron density profile. The high-entropy materials have raised much attention in recent years due to their extraordinary performances in mechanical, catalysis, energy storage fields. Herein, a new type of high-entropy hydroxides (e.g., NiFeCoMnAl(OH)x) that are amorphous and capable of broad solar absorption is reported. A facile one-pot co-precipitation method is employed to synthesize these amorphous high-entropy hydroxides (a-HEHOs) under ambient conditions. The a-HEHOs thus obtained display widely tunable bandgap (e.g., from 2.6 to 1.1 eV) due to their high-entropy and amorphous characteristics, enabling efficient light absorbance and photothermal conversion in the solar regime. Further solar water evaporation measurements show that the a-HEHOs delivered a considerable energy conversion efficiency of 55%, comparable to black titanium oxides that are synthesized using more complex and expensive methods. 相似文献

This research presents a thorough evaluation of the reverberation room at Acoustics Laboratory in National Institute of Standards (NIS) according to the related international standards. The evaluation aims at examining the room performance and exploring its effectiveness in the frequency range from 125 Hz to 10000 Hz according to the international standard requirements. The room, which was designed and built several years ago, is an irregular rectangular shape free from diffusers. Its volume is about 158.84 m3, which meets the requirement of the ISO 354 standard Lmax < 1.9V1/3. Cut-off frequencies of one and one-third octave are 63 Hz and 100 Hz respectively; however Schroder frequency is 400 Hz. Calculations of cut-off frequency and modal density showed adequate modes that give acceptable uniformity starting comfortably from frequency of 125 Hz. The room has a reverberation time that is suitable for its size over the frequency range of interest. The room sound absorption surface area and its sound absorption coefficient satisfy the criteria given in ISO 3741 and ISO 354. There is an accepted diffuse sound field inside the room due to the standard deviation of measured sound level, which is less than 1.5 dB over all the frequency range. The only exception was 125 Hz which may be due to a lack of diffusivity of the sound field at this frequency. The evaluation proves that the NIS reverberation room is in full agreement with the international standards, which in turns qualifies the room to host measurements inside without concerns. 相似文献
