采用吸收光谱、荧光光谱和皮秒Z-扫描等实验方法研究了侧链长度的不同对聚[2-甲氧基-5-(2′-乙基-己氧基)]对苯乙炔(MEH-PPV)和聚(2,5-二辛氧基)对苯乙炔(DO-PPV)两种聚对苯乙炔(PPV)衍生物光学性质的影响,并用π-电子共轭结构理论和共振、非共振增强理论进行了分析。结果表明,侧链较长的MEH-PPV的吸收峰和荧光发射峰比DO-PPV相应的吸收和荧光峰均有所红移;侧链结构及共振增强使得MEH-PPV的三阶非线性极化率比DO-PPV增强了近两个量级,并在532 nm激发时,χ(3)具有最大值9.30×10-10esu。 相似文献

单光束激光Z-扫描技术是利用光束的横向特性来研究材料的光学非线性的,其灵敏度的提高有助于测量微弱折射率变化。从入射光束、调制方式、光束检测等方面论述了Z-扫描技术的灵敏度。顶环光束入射相对于标准Z-扫描技术的高斯光束入射其灵敏度可提高2.5倍,但要求光源的输出能量达到一定值,仅适用于测定较小的非线性相移;在光路中插入调制元件后放大因子可达到780,但调节光路难以调节焦移效应。利用CCD作为探测器的TPDZ-扫描技术能够测量小于λ/15000的非线性相位畸变,CCD能够充分获得光束的横向信息,有望成为另一种测量光学非线性的常用方法。 相似文献

Metal nanocluster composite glass prepared by 180 keV Cu ions into silica with dose of 5×1016 ions/cm2 has been studied. The microstructural properties of the nanoclusters has been verified by optical absorption spectra and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Third-order nonlinear optical properties of the nanoclusters were measured at 1064 and 532 nm excitations using Z-scan technique. The nonlinear refraction index, nonlinear absorption coefficient, and the real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility were deduced. Results of the investigation of nonlinear refraction by the off-axis Z-scan configuration were presented and the mechanisms responsible for the nonlinear response were discussed. Third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) of this kind of sample was determined to be 8.7×10−8 esu at 532 nm and 6.0×10−8 esu at 1064 nm, respectively. 相似文献

Nonlinear optical properties of a standard dye IR26 have been studied by using the Z-scan technique to decipher the difference in the mechanism of nonlinear absorption on picosecond time scale at two wavelengths i.e. at 1064 nm and 532 nm. A prominent contribution of nonlinear absorption is observed in the Z-scan profiles at 1064 nm. The dye exhibits the mechanism of self-defocusing at 1064 nm in contrast to that of self-focusing at 532 nm. While the two photon absorption has been found to be the dominant mechanism of reverse saturable absorption at 1064 nm, the mechanism of excited state absorption is operating at 532 nm. Additionally, the optical phase conjugate geometry of degenerate four wave mixing (DFWM) technique has been used to measure the third order nonlinear susceptibility values at 532 nm to compare with those obtained from the Z-scan profiles. 相似文献

Intensity-dependent nonlinear optical transmission studies of cadmium sulfide (CdS) nanowires (∼ 50-100 nm diameter) suspended in dimethylformamide have been carried out in the visible region using the Z-scan technique with 7 ns pulses from the second harmonic of an Nd:YAG laser. The optical limiting threshold of CdS nanowires suspension was determined to be 1.3 J cm− 2, with normalized transmittance of 0.47, which is relatively lower when compared with those of many popular metal nanowire suspensions reported in the literature. Based on an effective three-photon absorption model, nonlinear absorption and nonlinear scattering were identified as the dominant processes for the measured reduced transmittance. 相似文献

The third-order optical nonlinearity was measured in bismuth-based glasses by Z-scan technique using femto-second laser pulses. Re(χ(3)) = 4.9 × 10−11 esu at 748 nm was obtained in the glass containing 65.5 mol% of Bi2O3. Although, the wavelength dependence of Re(χ(3)) shows resonant effect significantly, relatively small nonlinear absorption coefficient β = 0.8 cm/GW at 769 nm was estimated. Bismuth-based glass exhibits the largest third-order optical nonlinearity in oxide glasses, indicating they are promising materials used for nonlinear optical devices. 相似文献

This paper reports that the nonlinear refractive index ofa novel organic optical storage film doped azo-diphenylamine polymer ismeasured by using the $Z$-scan technique. The nonlinear refractive index up to $3.7times 10 ^{ - 6 }$~cm$^{2}$/W induced by thermo-optical effect isobtained. It indicates that the sample has excellent optical nonlinearproperties. The physical mechanism of the great nonlinear optical effect isanalysed and the optical conjugate characteristic is also discussed withdegenerate four-wave-mixing. The phase conjugate wave diffracted from theformative refractive index grating in the sample is acquired and itsequivalent reflectivity reaches about 22{%}. The thermotropic and lyotropic behaviour of a number of alkyl ketopyranosides, alkyl ketofuranosides, an alkyl pentopyranoside and an alkyl pentofuranoside were studied. With the exception of the alkyl beta-D-fructopyranosides, all the compounds display the expected smectic A* phases. The three alkyl fructopyranoside homologues studied (octyl, decyl and dodecyl) display a novel, rather viscous mesophase (monotropic), the nature of which is as yet unclear. The unknown phase is not a smectic A phase, because a phase transition from smectic A* to phase X is observed for both the decyl and the dodecyl derivative. The lyotropic behaviour of all the compounds in this study is quite similar to that reported earlier for other monoalkylated monosaccharide derivatives, except that the unknown phase X is again observed for the fructopyranoside derivatives. 相似文献
