A periodic one-dimensional four-state hopping model is proposed. In the model, the substeps betweenarbitrary adjacent states are unequal, and an explicit solution of the master equation is first obtained for the probabilitydistribution as a function of the time and position for any initial distribution with all the transients included. Next, thetransient behaviors in the initial period of time and the characteristic time to reach the steady state for the molecularmotor are discussed. Frequency dependence of ac conductivity from 1 to 105 Hz and time series of the conductivity at 2 kHz were measured along c-axis of thulium nitrate crystal, Tm(NO3)36H2O at temperatures from 203.15 to 293.15 K. The meta-stability was observed. The frequency spectra of the conductivity were similar to those in disorder system. Aging effect was observed. Non-periodic instability (burst) was found. Non-linear dynamical property was characterized by 1/f noise spectrum, limit cycle in return map and dependence of correlation exponent on embedding dimension. 相似文献

We studied parallel conductivities of pure BaF2 films with thicknesses ranging from 35 to 300 nm, epitaxially grown on Al2O3(0 1 2) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy technique. The overall conductivities of the films are found to increase with decreasing thickness. The detailed investigation of the overall conductance as a function of the thickness permits the deconvolution of bulk and boundary effects, the latter being attributed to distinct space charge effects in the interface between BaF2 film and Al2O3 substrate. The (extrinsic) Debye length (λ) is estimated to be about 8 nm at T=593 K, which corresponds to an impurity content of 1018/cm3 (singly ionized dopant assumed). This is consistent with the fact that we observed a constant boundary contribution for all investigated films (film thickness >4λ). It is also consistent with the Debye length observed in a previous report on CaF2/BaF2 heterolayers fabricated by the same technique, in which the low temperature enhancement was also attributed to space charges in BaF2 [Nature 408 (2000) 946]. Only at low temperatures (below 370 °C), the conductance seems to be influenced by strain effect. 相似文献

Spectroscopic [UV–visible and Fourier transform IR (FTIR)] and thermal properties of chemically synthesized polyanilines are found to be affected by varying the protonation media (acetic, citric, oxalic, and tartaric acid). The optical spectra show the presence of a greater fraction of fully oxidized insulating pernigraniline phase in polyaniline doped with acetic acid. In contrast, the selectivity in the formation of the conducting phase is higher in oxalic acid as a protonic acid media. The FTIR spectra of these polymers reveal a higher ratio of the relative intensities of the quinoid to benzenoid ring modes in acetic acid doped polyaniline. Scanning electron micrographs revealed a sponge‐like structure derived from the aggregation of the small granules in acetic acid and oxalic acid doped polyaniline. A three‐step decomposition pattern is observed in all the polymers, regardless of the protonic acid used for the doping. The second step loss related to the loss of dopant is found to be higher in the oxalic acid doped polymer. In accordance with these results the conductivity is also found to be higher in oxalic acid doped material. The use of storage cells has become a standard technique for internal gas targets in conjunction with high energy storage
rings. In case of spin-polarized hydrogen and deuterium gas targets the interaction of the injected atoms with the walls of
the storage cell can lead to depolarization and recombination. Thus the number of wall collisions of the atoms in the target
gas is important for modeling the processes of spin relaxation and recombination. It is shown in this article that the diffusion
process of rarefied gases in long tubes or storage cells can be described with the help of the one-dimensional diffusion equation.
Mathematical methods are presented that allow one to calculate collision age distributions (CAD) and their moments analytically.
These methods provide a better understanding of the different aspects of diffusion than Monte Carlo calculations. Additionally
it is shown that measurements of the atomic density or polarization of a gas sample taken from the center of the tube allow
one to determine the possible range of the corresponding density weighted average values along the tube. The calculations
are applied to the storage cell geometry of the HERMES internal polarized hydrogen and deuterium gas target.

Doping of conductive fullerene particles to the formulation of conventional holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal‐induced dual effects of reducing both droplet coalescence and operating voltage. Fullerene induced an induction period which otherwise does not exist, followed by a gradual increase of diffraction efficiency to a saturation value being increased with increasing fullerene content. The increased diffraction efficiency was caused by the decreased droplet coalescence which was due to the hindered migration of LC by the fullerene particles. On the other hand, doped fullerene particles augmented the conductivity of polymer phase and hence the local electrical field imposed on LC droplet, which overcome the threshold for driving and reduced operating voltage and response times. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The results of experimental and theoretical investigations of elastic and thermophysical properties of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) blends are presented. Eight types of specimens with different ratios of weight contents of PVC and CPE (PVC/CPE = 100/0, 90/10, 80/20, 60/40, 40/60, 20/80, 10/90, and 0/100) were tested. The effect of blend composition on the elastic constants (tensile and shear modulus) is discussed. The data on the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and heat capacity of the blends investigated are also presented. 相似文献
