We have recently developed methods for obtaining exact two-point resistance of the complete graph minus N edges. We use these methods to obtain closed formulas of certain trigonometrical sums that arise in connection with one-dimensional lattice, in proving Scott’s conjecture on permanent of Cauchy matrix, and in the perturbative chiral Potts model. The generalized trigonometrical sums of the chiral Potts model are shown to satisfy recursion formulas that are transparent and direct, and differ from those of Gervois and Mehta. By making a change of variables in these recursion formulas, the dimension of the space of conformal blocks of SU(2) and SO(3) WZW models may be computed recursively. Our methods are then extended to compute the corner-to-corner resistance, and the Kirchhoff index of the first non-trivial two-dimensional resistor network, 2×N. Finally, we obtain new closed formulas for variant of trigonometrical sums, some of which appear in connection with number theory. 相似文献

We study the quantum correlation and quantum communication channel of both free scalar and fermionic fields in de Sitter space, while the Planckian modification presented by the choice of a particular α-vacuum has been considered. We show the occurrence of degradation of quantum entanglement between field modes for an inertial observer in curved space, due to the radiation associated with its cosmological horizon. Comparing with standard Bunch–Davies choice, the possible Planckian physics causes some extra decrement on the quantum correlation, which may provide the means to detect quantum gravitational effects via quantum information methodology in future. Beyond single-mode approximation, we construct proper Unruh modes admitting general α-vacua, and find a convergent feature of both bosonic and fermionic entanglements. In particular, we show that the convergent points of fermionic entanglement negativity are dependent on the choice of α. Moreover, an one-to-one correspondence between convergent points Hc of negativity and zeros of quantum capacity of quantum channels in de Sitter space has been proved. 相似文献

The molecular structural and Raman spectroscopic characteristics of β‐carotene and lycopene are investigated by density functional calculations. The effects of molecular structure and solvent environment on the Raman spectra are analyzed by comparing the calculated and measured results. It is found that the B3LYP/6‐31G(d) method can predict the reasonable result for β‐carotene, but the ν1 Raman activities of lycopene overflow at all the used theoretical methods because of the longer conjugation length. The calculated results indicate that the rotation of β‐rings in β‐carotene impedes the delocalization of π‐electrons, shortens the effective conjugation length, and results in higher frequency and lower activity of the ν1 mode in β‐carotene than lycopene. The measured ν1 bands of β‐carotene and lycopene shift respectively to higher and lower frequencies in solution compared with that in crystals since the crystal packing forces can lead to different conformational variations in the carotenoids molecules. The polarized continuum model theoretical analysis suggests that solvent has slight (significant) effects on the Raman frequencies (intensities) of both carotenoids. 相似文献

The electronic structures and transport properties of (10,0) single-walled carbon nanotube ((10,0) (SWNT)) with oxygen-containing defect complex are investigated using density functional theory in combination with nonequilibrium Green?s function method. The complex delocalizes the local states of (10,0) SWNT induced by mono- and di-vacancy but strengthens the localization of the states induced by the Stone–Wales defect. As a result, the complex partially restores the transport properties of (10,0) SWNT with vacancies, but reduces the transmission of (10,0) SWNT with Stone–Wales defect. However, the oxygen-containing defect complex only slightly influences the transmission gap and threshold voltage of the system. 相似文献

In this paper, we construct an intermediate distribution linking the Gaussian and the Cauchy distribution. We provide the probability density function and the corresponding characteristic function of the intermediate distribution. Because many kinds of distributions have no moment, we introduce weighted moments. Specifically, we consider weighted moments under two types of weighted functions: the cut-off function and the exponential function. Through these two types of weighted functions, we can obtain weighted moments for almost all distributions. We consider an application of the probability density function of the intermediate distribution on the spectral line broadening in laser theory. We investigate the interface dynamics of the two-dimensional stochastic Ising model in an external field under helicoidal boundary conditions. At sufficiently low temperatures and fields, the dynamics of the interface is described by an exactly solvable high-spin asymmetric quantum Hamiltonian that is the infinitesimal generator of the zero range process. Generally, the critical dynamics of the interface fluctuations is in the Kardar–Parisi–Zhang universality class of critical behavior. We remark that a whole family of RSOS interface models similar to the Ising interface model investigated here can be described by exactly solvable restricted high-spin quantum XXZ-type Hamiltonians. 相似文献

Determining community structure in networks is fundamental to the analysis of the structural and functional properties of those networks, including social networks, computer networks, and biological networks. Modularity function Q, which was proposed by Newman and Girvan, was once the most widely used criterion for evaluating the partition of a network into communities. However, modularity Q is subject to a serious resolution limit. In this paper, we propose a new function for evaluating the partition of a network into communities. This is called community coefficient C. Using community coefficient C, we can automatically identify the ideal number of communities in the network, without any prior knowledge. We demonstrate that community coefficient C is superior to the modularity Q and does not have a resolution limit. We also compared the two widely used community structure partitioning methods, the hierarchical partitioning algorithm and the normalized cuts (Ncut) spectral partitioning algorithm. We tested these methods on computer-generated networks and real-world networks whose community structures were already known. The Ncut algorithm and community coefficient C were found to produce better results than hierarchical algorithms. Unlike several other community detection methods, the proposed method effectively partitioned the networks into different community structures and indicated the correct number of communities. 相似文献
