CARS experiments on s-tetrazine vapour show that the electronic resonance enhancement in the Q-branch is most effective for the lower J values. This suggests that the radiationless relaxation rate in the excited state increases with rotational quantum number. Delayed picosecond CARS experiments indicate that the rotation-vibration coupling for the 1008 cm?1 ground-state vibrational mode is approximately 2 MHz. 相似文献

The broad bands at 1350 and 1550 cm?1 observed in Raman scattering from Ag in electrochemical cells have been observed on Ag surfaces in tunneling structures and in ultrahigh vacuum. Electronic energy transfer from molecules to metal surfaces at distances < 50 Å has been measured. A monolayer of luminescent molecules is separated from a single crystal metal surface by a layer of physisorbed Ar. The luminescence quantum yield is measured as a function of the Ar spacer thickness. A cubic distance dependence is observed, in agreement with classical image dipole theory. 相似文献

A pulsed tunable dye laser was used for a high resolution experimental study of mercury fluorescence from the 63P1 state. The output of the dye laser was frequency doubled into the 253.7 nm region using a potassium penta-borate crystal. Exponential decays were observed for each of the five individual components of the hyperfine structure separately and the effects of the trapping of resonance radiation on the observed lifetime of the 63P1 state of mercury were investigated for each resolvable component. Within experimental error, the natural radiative lifetime of the 63P1 state was found to be independent of the hyperfine component irradiated and a value of 122±2 nsec was obtained, consistent with results found by other methods. 相似文献

The generator coordinate method (GCM) wave function is used as a trial function in a Kohn type variational principle for scattering phase shifts. It is shown that a GCM trial function is a solution of the variational equations if the Hill-Wheeler integral equation is satisfied subject to an appropriate boundary condition. A new method for introducing the scattering boundary condition is presented. There is a uniqueness theorem for the phase shift. 相似文献

Saturation of optical absorption in InSb has been observed by using near absorption edge wavelenght radiation of subnanosecond duration at 5.3μm to affect a wavelenght dependence on the optical absorption edge. A nearly three orders of magnitude self-induced enhancement of transparency has been measured for optical energy transmission through the absorption medium. NMR and static magnetic susceptibility (χ) measurements on stage 1 AsF5 intercalated graphite (C8AsF5) are presented. The relaxation times, Ti and T2, of the F19 nuclear magnetic resonance were measured over the temperature range 136K – 295K; χ was measured over the range 80K – 295K. The NMR results indicate a motionally narrowed line with gradual ordering of the intercalant as the temperature is decreased. The magnetic susceptibility is independent of temperature with no observable Curie law controbution. The absence of localized moment behavior for the intercalant is interpreted either in terms of chemical disproportionation of the AsF5 to closed shell ions or in terms of the Anderson model of localized moments in metals. 相似文献
