Comment on “Kirchhoff index in line,subdivision and total graphs of a regular graph”

Let G$G$ be a connected regular graph. Denoted by t(G)$t\left(G\right)$ and Kf(G)$Kf\left(G\right)$ the total graph and Kirchhoff index of G$G$, respectively. This paper is to point out that Theorem 3.7 and Corollary 3.8 from “Kirchhoff index in line, subdivision and total graphs of a regular graph” [X. Gao, Y.F. Luo, W.W. Liu, Kirchhoff index in line, subdivision and total graphs of a regular graph, Discrete Appl. Math. 160(2012) 560–565] are incorrect, since the conclusion of a lemma is essentially wrong. Moreover, we first show the Laplacian characteristic polynomial of t(G)$t\left(G\right)$, where G$G$ is a regular graph. Consequently, by using Kf(G)$Kf\left(G\right)$, we give an expression on Kf(t(G))$Kf\left(t\left(G\right)\right)$ and a lower bound on Kf(t(G))$Kf\left(t\left(G\right)\right)$ of a regular graph G$G$, which correct Theorem 3.7 and Corollary 3.8 in Gao et al. (2012)  [2].     

全内反射荧光成像技术及其在单分子检测中的研究进展

全内反射荧光显微镜技术是当今最灵敏的生物成像和检测方法之一,可以直接探测单个荧光分子。这种方法已成功地用于生命科学、化学、物理学等研究领域,获得了常规方法无法得到的重要信息。本文介绍了全内反射荧光显微镜的工作原理和实验技术,总结了近年来这种单分子检测方法在生命科学、化学等领域的重要应用,并对其发展前景进行了展望。     

用近红外光谱分析转基因抗虫棉根际全氮和有机质含量

随着转基因植物的普及推广,人们越来越关心其生态安全性。以转基因棉花及其对照为实验材料,借助于近红外光谱仪对转基因棉花及其对照根际土壤和非根际土壤中的全氮和有机质进行了分析测定,扫描区间为12 000～4 000 cm-1,分辨率为4 cm-1,扫描次数为64次;同时用标准方法进行对比测定。结果显示近红外检测样品的结果与标准方法结果无明显差别,说明通过扫描光谱加上数学和计算机软件分析,非常准确、方便地测定了转基因作物根际土壤中的全氮和有机质。结果显示,转基因棉花根际土壤中的全氮和有机质含量显著高于对照中的含量,分析原因主要可能与转基因抗虫棉向根际土壤分泌毒蛋白所致,毒蛋白会结合在土壤颗粒上,降解较慢,增加了全氮和有机质的含量,有机质又会增加土壤微生物的繁殖,进一步增加了土壤有机质含量。     

Synthesis of Heterobactins A and B and Nocardia Heterobactin

The synthesis of the Rhodococcus erythropolis siderophores heterobactins A and B, and the structurally related Nocardia heterobactin, is described. Two approaches for the assembly of these asymmetric ligand donor chelators are explored. In the first approach, a scheme predicated on the biosynthesis of the Paracoccus denitrificans siderophore, parabactin, is employed. In this approach, the central donor synthon is added last. In the second scheme, the central donor and the terminal 2,3-dihydroxybenzoyl fragment are first fixed to the ligand’s d-ornithine backbone. This is followed by condensation with the cyclic ornithine hydroxamate glycine segment. The schemes offer a flexible approach to other heterobactins. Job’s plots suggest that heterobactin A and Nocardia heterobactin form 1:1 ligand/metal complexes, while heterobactin B forms a 3:2 ligand/metal complex.     

Total synthesis of myceliothermophins A-E

Total synthesis of an antitumor compound myceliothermophin A and related compounds based on a convergent synthetic strategy was investigated. A common decalin skeleton of myceliothermophins was stereoselectively constructed by an IMDA reaction. The fully elaborated precursor of myceliothermophins was obtained via aldol reaction of N-protected γ-methoxylactam with decalin aldehyde. By using Teoc group for the protection of nitrogen atom of lactam ring, selective deprotection prior to the hydrolysis of methoxyaminal moiety was successfully achieved to obtain γ-methoxylactams (myceliothermophins C and D). Subsequent hydrolysis of these compounds afforded the corresponding γ-hydroxylactam, and myceliothermophins A and B in high yield. Myceliothermophin E was also synthesized by dehydration of the obtained γ-hydroxylactams. The absolute configurations of myceliothermophins A-E were also successfully determined.     

First total synthesis of Pestalotioprolide C and its C7 epimer

The first total synthesis of Pestalotioprolide C and C7-epi-Pestalotioprolide C adopting Noyori asymmetric reduction, HWE Olefination and Shiina macrolactonization as the key steps has been described.     

Synthesis of aspergillide A via proline-catalyzed trans-to-cis isomerization of a substituted tetrahydropyran

The transformation of a common synthetic intermediate of aspergillides B and C into aspergillide A, a cytotoxin produced by a marine-derived fungus, has been accomplished in an eleven-step sequence involving an efficient proline-catalyzed isomerization of a 2,6-trans-substituted tetrahydropyran-2-acetaldehyde intermediate into the corresponding cis isomer and the Yamaguchi macrolactonization as the key steps.

Operations that preserve total dual integrality

There are many useful operations, such as adding slack variables, taking scalar multiples of inequalities, and applying Fourier-Motzkin elimination, that can be performed on a linear system such that if the system defines an integer polyhedron then so does the derived system. The topic dealt with here is whether or not these operations also preserve total dual integrality of linear systems.
