A highly efficient general synthesis of phosphine-borane complexes

A general synthesis of phosphine-borane complexes proceeding in high yield in a safe, green process from borane generated in situ from sodium borohydride is described. The procedure also allows simultaneous carbonyl reduction and phosphine-borane formation on air-sensitive bulky phosphine derivatives.     

An iminophosphine dendrimeric ligand and its evaluation in the Heck reaction

DAB-dendr-(NH₂)₃₂ has been modified to produce two novel dendrimeric P,N-ligands, DAB-dendr-[1,2-(NCHC₆H₄PPh₂)]₃₂ and DAB-dendr-[1,2-(NHCH₂C₆H₄PPh₂)]₃₂. These were both found to activate electron rich aryl bromides in the Heck reaction. The reactions seem to proceed better in a novel solvent system consisting of an equimolar mixture of a tertiary amine with acetic acid. A marked dependence of the conversion on the [equivalents of dendrimeric ligand]/[Pd] ratio has been observed with conversion decreasing as the ratio of dendrimer equivalents to Pd increases. This phenomenon is attributed to interactions of the arms bearing the metal with neighboring ones within the dendrimer.     

Transition metal 1,2-bidentate thiolates as building blocks and their construction into cluster complexes

Simple fragments of transition metal 1,2-bidentate thiolates, the so-called building blocks of the general compositions ML₃, ML₂, ML, M(O)L₂, ML₂L, MLL, etc. have been proposed to constitute the di-, tri- and tetranuclear complexes concerned in this review. Nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions of fluorobenzenechromium complexes with P-chiral secondary phosphine-boranes: synthesis of optically pure P-chiral (dialkyl)arylphosphine-boranes

Optically pure P-chiral (dialkyl)arylphosphine-boranes having high structural diversity were prepared by two- or three-component coupling of fluorobenzenechromium complexes, P-chiral secondary phosphine-boranes, and other nucleophiles. The stereochemical integrity at the P-stereogenic center was completely retained during the S_NAr process when the reaction was carried out in THF at low temperature.     

Complexation of an acrylic resin by tertiary amines: synthesis and characterisation of new binders for antifouling paints

Antifouling coatings are the most reliable way to prevent biofouling of immersed surfaces. As concerning the high toxicity of organotin paints, the tendency is the development of coatings, which do not present environmental risks. In this work, we prepare binders from modification of acrylic copolymers containing free carboxylic acid groups. Biocides chosen are tertiary ammonium salts; alkyl chain substituents with different length are considered. The chemical modifications of resins are carried out via a single step reaction. Modification extents are monitored through proton nuclear magnetic resonance and thermogravimetric analysis and the modified resins are characterised by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The glass transition temperature of the acrylate systems is assessed by dynamical mechanical analysis (pin point method) and compared with data obtained by differential scanning calorimetry. The erosion and antifouling properties of the binders are followed during an exposure to marine environment by a visual observation.     

两相催化体系中α，β－不饱和醛选择加氢反应研究Ⅲ．表面活性剂、溶剂对选择加氢反应的影响

研究了水溶性钌－膦配合物催化肉桂醛选择加氢反应中，相转移剂和表面活性剂对反应转化率和选择性的影响，考察了表面活性剂ＣＴＡＢ（十六烷基三甲溴化铵）浓度以及影响两相界面性质的因素—水相和有机相体积比、有机溶剂的改变等的影响．结果表明，相转移剂可以促进反应进行，其中以季铵盐相转移剂最好；表面活性剂能够显著地加快反应，其中以阳离子表面活性剂的效果最佳，且分子中含有长链烷基者（如ＣＴＡＢ）效果更好，非离子和阴离子表面活性剂的效果较差；对于ＣＴＡＢ，其浓度的增加导致反应速度的明显加快，但ＣＴＡＢ浓度达到１．６５×１０－２ｍｏｌ／Ｌ之后，反应体系乳化严重，反应完成后，两相分离变得困难．而增加水相体积和加入适当的有机溶剂，有利于转化率和选择性的提高．     

Scope, limitations and mechanistic aspects in the selective homogeneous palladium-catalyzed reduction of alkenes under transfer hydrogen conditions

A new and efficient mild Pd/P(t-Bu)₃ catalyst for selective reduction of various alkenes under transfer hydrogen conditions has been developed leading to the corresponding saturated derivatives in chemical yields varying from 65 to 98%. Mechanistic rationale of this reaction has been also demonstrated.     

Spectrophotometric method for phosphine residue determination in coriander

Spectrophotometric method for the determination of phosphine (PH₃) residues in coriander has been developed based on the reaction of phosphine with silver nitrate in 2% aqueous isopropanol. The yellow chromophore formed has an absorption maximum at 430 nm and the linear relation between the absorbances at 430 nm and the concentration of PH₃ is obeyed in the range of 0.02 to 0.17 g. The method is sensitive with a detection limit of 0.008 g and can be applied for determination of 0.02 g/g residue in coriander. Recovery of added PH₃ from a closed system ranges from 96 to 101%.

合成了Nd(ClO_4)_3·4phP=O·C_2H_5OH配合物,用四园衍射仪测定了它的分子及晶体结构,此晶体属三斜晶系P1空间群,晶胞参数为:a=13.475(61)A;b=15.003(15)A;c=18.697(15)A;α=85.44(7);β=78.49(24)°;γ=83.13(26)°;V=3671.2A,分子由99个非氢原子组成,实际上分子可分为三个部分即:配阳离子[Nd(ClO_4)_2·4phPO]~+;阴离子ClO_4和溶剂合分子C_2H_5OH配阳离子的钕与八个氧配位,四个氧来自双齿配位的ClO_4,四个氧来自四个ph_3PO,八个配位氧组成三角十二面体。 中性膦(磷)类化合物包括(RO)_3P=O和R_3P=O是一类重要的萃取剂。工业上已应用的TBP和TOPO都属于这一类。为了研究这类萃取剂在不同底液中萃取行为之所以不同的内在因素,我们制备了不同希土盐类与三苯基氧膦的配合物,并对它们进行了结构测定。已知的中性氧膦希土配合物中进行过结构测定的有Ce(NO)·2phP=O、Nd(NO)_2·2php=O·C_2HOH、La(NO_3)_3·3php=O·C_2H_5OH·CHCl_3和Nd(NCS)·4php=O。这些配合物晶体及分子结构各异,这表明了三苯基氧膦在形成配合物时的复杂性。本文报导的Nd(ClO_4)·4phP=O·C_2H_5OH实际上是由三部分组成;即[Nd(ClO_4)_2·4phP=O]~+外界的ClO_4和溶剂合分子。这在中性配体与高氯酸希土形成的配合物中时有发现。已知结构的     

Development and validation of a method for the determination of trace alkylphenols and phthalates in the atmosphere

An analytical method has been developed for the simultaneous extraction and determination of trace tertiary octylphenol (t-OP), technical nonylphenol isomers (NP), nonylphenol monoethoxylate isomers (NP1EO) and seven phthalates in the atmosphere using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). High volume samples were collected using a high-volume pump equipped with a PUF/XAD-2 column for air and glass fiber filter for particles. The detection limits of the method for alkylphenols (APs) and the phthalates ranged from 0.0006 to 0.034 ng m⁻³ in air. The recoveries of t-OP, NP, NP1EO and the phthalates for the entire procedure were satisfactory (>69%). The method was successfully applied to the determination of the analytes in the atmosphere samples collected over land and the ocean. The concentrations of t-OP, NP, NP1EO showed decline trends from land to the open sea, and the phthalates present over land and the North Sea were comparable. It is suggested that the atmosphere is a significant pathway for the transport of alkylphenols and the phthalates in the environment.
