Summary A chromatographic method has been developed for enrichment of methionine-bound sulfur in casein, for stable-isotope analysis. Casein is precipitated from milk samples and cleaved by acid hydrolysis in 6m hydrochloric acid at 95 °C. The amino acids released are converted into theirN-acetyl derivatives by addition of acetic acid anhydride. After lyophilization,N-acetylmethionine is separated from the accompanying components on octadecylsilica by use of a gradient prepared from 0.02m formic acid and methanol. The fractions containingN-acetylmethionine are pooled and freeze dried. Procedures for hydrolysis and derivatization were optimized to furnish the highest yields. The influence of the abundance ratio on the chromatographic separation is shown and discussed. From 1.0 g casein 16.5 mgN-acetylmethionine were isolated.  相似文献

Synthesis of a bicyclic 2,2‐dioxa oxadiazoline (6,7‐diaza‐1‐methoxy‐5‐methyl‐2,8‐dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]oct‐6‐ene) is reported. Its thermolysis at 27°C is about 200 times as fast as the thermolysis of a monocyclic oxadiazoline model system. Presumably, a cyclic dioxa carbonyl ylide is formed initially and the ylide then undergoes a bond scission to afford either a dioxacarbene or a dialkylcarbene or it cyclizes to an oxirane. A small fraction of a dialkylcarbene was trapped as the product of addition to dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (DMAD). Computations of the barriers to the loss of N2 from the oxadiazolines and to the formation of the carbenes from the carbonyl ylide resulting from thermolysis of the bicyclic oxadiazoline are compared to corresponding barriers for a similar monocyclic oxadiazoline. The rate acceleration is accounted for in terms of geometric factors. The complex products from the decomposition of the bicyclic oxadiazoline were not studied. Quantum chemical calculations at the MRCI/aug-cc-pV5Z level are used to describe the conversions between HSO, HOS, H + SO, S + OH and O + SH on the doublet H/S/O potential energy surface. An RRKM analysis of this multiple-well system was carried out in the temperature range 300-2000 K between 0.1 and 10 atm. At these pressures, the stabilization reaction H + SO → HSO or HOS is at the low pressure limit, and stabilization from S + OH and O + SH was not detected. The reactions S + OH → H + SO and O + SH → H + SO were found to be barrierless and very fast at room temperature (4 × 1014 and 1.5 × 1014 cm3 mol−1 s−1, respectively). The reaction channel O + SH → S + OH is two orders of magnitude slower than the more exothermic O + SH → H + SO reaction, although a second pathway involving direct H-abstraction (O + SH → S + OH) on the quartet surface appears as a minor channel at high temperatures.  相似文献

Metallic nickel nanoparticles were incorporated on mesoporous silica to remove sulfur compounds in diesel selectively. In the first method, nickel nanoparticles were formed on mesoporous silica SBA-15 by impregnation and subsequent reduction of nickel nitrate. The sulfur adsorption capacity was strongly dependent on the nickel loading and the average nickel particle size. In the second method, nickel nanoparticles were synthesized in solution in the presence of a capping agent and then incorporated in mesoporous silica MCF by sonication. Although these particles maintain their sizes on the MCF surface after heat treatment, capping agent remaining on the Ni particle surface might interfere the adsorption of sulfur compounds.  相似文献

Passivation treatment on indium-doped Hg0.8Cd0.2Te epitaxial layers grown on p-Cd0.96Zn0.04Te substrates by molecular beam epitaxy has been performed in order to improve the surface stability of the Hg0.8Cd0.2Te layers. Room-temperature capacitance–voltage measurements clearly revealed metal-insulator–semiconductor (MIS) behavior for the Al/ZnS/passivated Hg0.8Cd0.2Te layer/Cd0.96Zn0.04Te diodes. The fast state density and the fixed charge density of the Al/ZnS/passivated Hg0.8Cd0.2Te/Cd0.96Zn0.04Te diode with a sulfur-treated Hg0.8Cd0.2Te layer were smaller than those with a chemically oxidized Hg0.8Cd0.2Te layer. The interface state density at the ZnS/sulfur-treated Hg0.8Cd0.2Te interface were low at 1011 eV−1 cm−2 at the middle of the Hg0.8Cd0.2Te energy gap. These results indicate that the Hg0.8Cd0.2Te epilayer is significantly passivated by sulfur treatment and that the passivated Hg0.8Cd0.2Te layers can be used for Hg1−xCdxTe-based MIS diodes and MIS field-effect transistors.  相似文献

The near-surface region of Zircaloy-4 (Zry-4) has been probed using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). In particular, the behavior of impurity (sulfur) and alloying (tin) elements has been monitored as a function of annealing temperature and time. High-temperature AES experiments above 900 K are reported, with a primary focus on changes in the S(LMM) Auger feature that overlaps with the primary Zr(MNV) transition. We find that the sulfur content of the near-surface region increases linearly with annealing time at higher temperatures. Tin is the only alloying element whose Auger signal intensity significantly exceeds the noise level at these temperatures.  相似文献
