Mn-Zn ferrite powders (Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) were prepared by the nitrate-citrate auto-combustion method and subsequently annealed in air or argon. The effects of heat treatment temperature on crystalline phases formation, microstructure and magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite were investigated by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer. Ferrites decomposed to Fe2O3 and Mn2O3 after annealing above 550 °C in air, and had poor magnetic properties. However, Fe2O3 and Mn2O3 were dissolved after ferrites annealing above 1100 °C. Moreover, the 1200 °C annealed sample showed pure ferrite phase, larger saturation magnetization (Ms=48.15 emu g−1) and lower coercivity (Hc=51 Oe) compared with the auto-combusted ferrite powder (Ms=44.32 emu g−1, Hc=70 Oe). The 600 °C air annealed sample had the largest saturation magnetization (Ms=56.37 emu g−1) and the lowest coercivity (Hc=32 Oe) due to the presence of pure ferrite spinel phase, its microstructure and crystalline size. 相似文献

The Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites with different contents of Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics (1-8 wt%) as sintering additives were prepared by the usual ceramic technology and sintered at 900 °C to adapt to the low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The magnetic and dielectric properties of the ferrite can be effectively improved with the effect of an appropriate amount of Bi4Ti3O12. For all samples, the ferrite sintered with 2 wt% Bi4Ti3O12 has relatively high density (98.8%) and permeability, while the ferrite with 8 wt% Bi4Ti3O12 has relatively good dielectric properties in a wide frequency range. The influences of Bi4Ti3O12 addition on microstructure, magnetic and dielectric properties of the ferrite have been discussed. 相似文献

The influence of different heat treatments on the magnetic and magnetoelastic properties of highly magnetostrictive CoFe2O4 has been investigated. The first order cubic anisotropy coefficient, coercive field, magnetostriction and high strain sensitivity were observed to decrease as the heat treatment temperature increased. The saturation magnetization of the samples on the other hand increased with increase in heat treatment temperature. These changes were not accompanied by any observable changes in crystal structure or composition and are indicative of migration of Co2+ from the octahedral sites (B-sites) to the tetrahedral sites (A-sites) and Fe3+ from the A-sites to the B-sites of the spinel structure. Different distributions of the cations at the two distinct lattice sites can strongly affect the magnetic and magnetoelastic properties of these materials. 相似文献

MgO was introduced into low-temperature sintered Z-type hexaferrites in order to improve their high-frequency electromagnetic properties. In the doped samples the major Z-type phase coexists with a small amount of W-type magnetoplumbite phase. The addition of MgO causes a decrease of the average grain size and an increase of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy (K1) and the saturation magnetization (Ms) with the increment of K1 being larger than that of Ms. These factors result in a reduce of the initial permeability. Also, the samples with MgO additive exhibit higher Q-factor and dc resistivity. Furthermore, the introduction of MgO can decrease the dielectric constant and improve the dielectric loss tangent of the samples by reducing the electronic transition in octahedral site (B-site) between Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions. 相似文献

Nanoparticles of CoGdxFe2−xO4 (where x=0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5) series have been prepared by chemical co-precipitation. The effect of Gd3+ ion concentration on crystalline phase, crystallinity, crystallite size, molecular vibrations and magnetic resonance has been investigated in detail. The crystallinity decreases with an increase in Gd3+ ion concentration and changes the structural parameters. The spin lattice relaxation has been correlated with the doping ion concentration. Similarly, the superparamagnetic behavior of these particles has been observed with EPR spectroscopy. 相似文献

Cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) nano-particles have been synthesized successfully and we studied the effect of temperature on them. The particles have been annealed at different temperatures ranging from 373 to 1173 K. Significant effect on the physical parameters like crystalline phase, crystallite size, particle size, lattice strain and magnetic properties of the nano-particles has been investigated. The studies have been carried out using a powder X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a transmission electron microscope (TEM) and a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). A thorough study of the variation of specific surface area and particle size with annealing is presented here, with their effects on saturation magnetization. 相似文献

The effects of annealing temperature and manganese substitution on the formation, microstructure and magnetic properties of MnxZn1−xFe2O4 (with x varying from 0.3 to 0.9) through a solid-state method have been investigated. The correlation of the microstructure and the grain size with the magnetic properties of Mn–Zn ferrite powders was also reported. X-ray diffraction (XRD), a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) were utilized in order to study the effect of variation of manganese substitution and its impact on crystal structure, crystalline size, microstructure and magnetic properties of the ferrite powders formed. The XRD analysis showed that pure single phases of Mn–Zn ferrites were obtained by increasing the annealing temperature to 1200–1300 °C. Increasing the annealing temperature to ?1300 °C led to abnormal grain growth with inter-granular pores and this led to a decrease in the saturation magnetization. Moreover, an increase in the Mn2+ ion substitution up to x=0.8 increased the lattice parameter of the formed powders due to the high ionic radii of the Mn2+ ion. Mn–Zn ferrites phases were formed and the positions of peaks were shifted by substituting manganese. The average crystalline size was increased by increasing the annealing temperature and decreased by increasing the substitution by manganese up to 0.8. The average crystalline size was in the range 95–137.3 nm. The saturation magnetization of the Mn–Zn-substituted ferrite powders increased continuously with an increase in the Mn concentration up to 0.8 at annealing temperatures of 1200–1300 °C. Further increase of Mn substitution up to 0.9 led to a decrease of saturation magnetization. The saturation magnetization increased from 17.3 emu/g for the Mn0.3Zn0.7Fe2O4 phase particles produced to 59.08 emu/g for Mn0.8Mn0.2Fe2O4 particles. 相似文献

Ni–Zn ferrite and Bi_2O_3 composites were developed by the sol-gel method. The structural, magnetic, and dielectric properties were studied for all the prepared samples. X-ray diffraction(XRD) was performed to study the crystal structure. The results of field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM) showed that the addition of Bi_2O_3 can increase the grain size of the Ni–Zn ferrite. Magnetic properties were analyzed by a hysteresis loop test and it was found that the saturation magnetization and coercivity decreased with the increase of Bi_2O_3 ratio. In addition, the dielectric properties of the Ni–Zn ferrite were also improved with the addition of Bi_2O_3. 相似文献

Iron–nickel spinel oxide NiFe2O4 nanoparticles have been prepared by the combination of chemical precipitation and subsequent mechanical milling. For comparison, their analogue obtained by thermal synthesis is also studied. Phase composition and structural properties of iron–nickel oxides are investigated by X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Their catalytic behavior in methanol decomposition to CO and methane is tested. An influence of the preparation method on the reduction and catalytic properties of iron–nickel samples is established. 相似文献
