The Cr-doped zinc oxide (Zn0.97Cr0.03O) nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by sol-gel method. The relationship between the annealing temperature (400 °C, 450 °C, 500 °C and 600 °C) and the structure, magnetic properties and the optical characteristics of the produced samples was studied. The results indicate that Cr (Cr3+) ions at least partially substitute Zn (Zn2+) ions successfully. Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) measurement showed the existence of Cr ion in the Cr-doped ZnO. The samples sintered in air under the temperature of 450 °C had single wurtzite ZnO structure with prominent ferromagnetism at room temperature, while in samples sintered in air at 500 °C, a second phase-ZnCr2O4 was observed and the samples were not saturated in the field of 10000 Oe. This indicated that they were mixtures of ferromagnetic materials and paramagnetic materials. Compared with the results of the photoluminescence (PL) spectra, it was reasonably concluded that the ferromagnetism observed in the studied samples was originated from the doping of Cr in the lattice of ZnO crystallites.  相似文献

Non-wettable surfaces with high contact angles and facile sliding angle of water droplets have received tremendous attention in recent years. The present paper describes the room temperature (∼27 °C) synthesis of dip coated water repellent silica coatings on glass substrates using iso-butyltrimethoxysilane (iso-BTMS) as a co-precursor. Emphasis is given to the influence of the hydrophobic reagent (iso-BTMS) on the water repellent properties of the silica films. Silica sol was prepared by keeping the molar ratio of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) precursor, methanol (MeOH) solvent, water (H2O) constant at 1:16.53:8.26 respectively, with 0.01 M NH4F throughout the experiment and the molar ratio of iso-BTMS/TEOS (M) was varied from 0 to 0.965. The effect of M on the surface structure and hydrophobicity has been researched. The static water contact angle values of the silica films increased from 65° to 140° and water sliding angle values decreased from 42° to 16° with an increase in the M value from 0 to 0.965. The water repellent silica films are thermally stable up to a temperature of 280 °C and above this temperature the film shows hydrophilic behavior. The water repellent silica films were characterized by the Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), % of optical transmission, thermal and chemical aging tests, humidity tests, static and dynamic water contact angle measurements.  相似文献

Titanium oxynitride (TiNxOy) films were deposited on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates by means of a reactive radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering system in which the power density was the varied parameter. Experimental results show that the deposited TiNxOy films with a thickness of about 55 nm have similar contents of TiN, TiNxOy and TiO2 bonds, although they are deposited at different power densities. The TiNxOy films deposited at a lower power density have fewer internal defects and grain boundaries and possess higher activation energy and a lower rate of water vapor and oxygen transmission through TiNxOy/PET films.  相似文献

The nanocluster-CdO film was successfully synthesized by sol-gel method using cadmium acetate and 2-metoxyethanol as starting materials and monoethanolamine as a stabilizer. The structural properties of the CdO film were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). AFM results indicate that the CdO film is consisted of nanoclusters with grain size of 75-85 nm. The optical band gap Eg of nanocluster-CdO film was found to be 2.27 eV. The heterostructure, formed from two semiconductor layers having different optical band gaps, p-Si/n-CdO is prepared as a solar cell device. The electrical properties of the device were characterized by current-voltage and capacitance-conductance-voltage methods. The photovoltaic properties of p-Si/n-CdO device have been investigated. The p-Si/n-CdO heterojunction solar cell shows the best values of Voc = 0.41 and Jsc = 2.19 mA/cm2 under AM1.5 illumination. It is evaluated that this work is useful as a basis for the search of nanomaterial CdO and more competitive p-Si/n-CdO based solar cells, despite the fact that Voc and Jsc are lower than those reported in the literature.  相似文献

PANI/PMMA composite was synthesized by emulsion polymerization pathway and the composite thin film was obtained by vacuum evaporation. The effect of vapour chopping and varying PMMA concentration was also studied. The FTIR spectra showed that the PANI/PMMA composite thin film deposited as a short chain oligomers. Increase in transmittance and decrease in refractive index was obtained with increasing concentration of PMMA, which further increased the adhesion and decreased intrinsic stress. The vapour chopping improved its optical as well as mechanical properties and produced smoother surface morphology. Increase of PMMA made the film more amorphous and does not change its band gap.  相似文献

We report combinatorial molecular beam epitaxy synthesis and properties of a ternary epitaxial film of Co and Mn co-doped Ge grown on Ge (0 0 1) substrate. Structural effects were examined in situ by reflection high-energy electron diffraction and ex situ by microbeam X-ray diffraction techniques, and magnetic properties were probed by using magnetooptic Kerr effect. Ternary epitaxial phase diagrams have been studied for total doping concentrations up to 30 at.%, where regions of coherent epitaxy and rough disordered growth and those of near room temperature ferromagnetic ordering have been identified.  相似文献

Oxygen-selective adsorbents were prepared by two different methods, hydrothermal and sol-gel methods. The adsorption and desorption characteristics of these adsorbents were compared in terms of stability and sorption capacity. The sorbents prepared by the sol-gel method showed better cyclic stability and higher adsorption capacity than that prepared by the hydrothermal method because the sol-gel method entrapped well the barium peroxide.Relaxation time for adsorption ranged from 4 to 9 min depending on the preparation methods and that for desorption was 6 min regardless of the preparation methods. Breakthrough experiment with the sorbent prepared by the sol-gel method was performed. The adsorption breakthrough curves at 600 °C showed two plateau regions. One was at about 3.5%, and the other was 20%. The first plateau region is related to the sharp transition point of the oxygen adsorption isotherm. Though the relaxation time for adsorption was 6 min, the time required from the end of the first plateau to the beginning of the second plateau was just 2 min. During the desorption, a plateau region at 3.5% of oxygen concentration was observed regardless of the desorption flow rate.  相似文献

Bioglass-ceramics with SiO2-Na2O-CaO composition was prepared by sol-gel method using rice husk ash as a silica source. Material was sintered at different temperatures ranging from 900 to 1050 °C for 2 h. Phase-formation behaviour, densification characteristics, and mechanical strength of glass-ceramics were investigated. The material sintered at 1000 °C showed a good mechanical strength. Mechanical properties were correlated with microstructural features. Both in vitro bioactivity and biodegradability of sintered material were investigated by incubating in simulated body fluid and Tris buffer solution, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to investigate the surface deposition during body fluid incubation. Both bioactivity and degradability decreased with increase in sintering temperature.  相似文献

Ultra-fine and homogeneous SrFe12O19 hexaferrites were synthesized by a microwave-assisted calcination route. The calcined precursors were prepared by a sol-gel auto-combustion method using Fe(NO3)3·9H2O, Sr(NO3)2 and citric acid as starting materials. The structures, powder morphology and magnetic properties of the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and vibrating sample magnetometer. The results showed that microwaves are helpful to reduce the calcination temperature and shorten the calcination time. The ferrites with saturation magnetization, remanence and intrinsic coercivity of 54.80 emu/g, 29.52 emu/g and 5261 Oe, respectively, were obtained in samples calcined at 800 °C for 80 min.  相似文献

We present the complete zero temperature phase diagram of a model for ultrathin films with perpendicular anisotropy. The whole parameter space of relevant coupling constants is studied in first order anisotropy approximation. Because the ground state is known to be formed by perpendicular stripes separated by Bloch walls, a standard variational approach is used, complemented with specially designed Monte Carlo simulations. We can distinguish four regimes according to the different nature of striped domains: a high anisotropy Ising regime with sharp domain walls, a saturated stripe regime with thicker walls inside which an in-plane component of the magnetization develops, a narrow canted-like regime, characterized by a sinusoidal variation of both the in-plane and the out of plane magnetization components, which upon further decrease of the anisotropy leads to an in-plane ferromagnetic state via a spin reorientation transition (SRT). The nature of domains and walls are described in some detail together with the variation of domain width with anisotropy, for any value of exchange and dipolar interactions. Our results, although strictly valid at T=0, can be valuable for interpreting data on the evolution of domain width at finite temperature, a still largely open problem.  相似文献
