The minimal occupancy level (θmin) of the clathrate lattice of gas molecules is defined as the number of guest molecules in the host clathrate lattice, which can stabilize the thermodynamically unstable empty cage by covering the energy demand of the transformation of hexagonal ice into empty clathrate lattice (ΔHtrans). The θmin values for chlorine hydrate were determined from the n = f(p)T=const. relationship and the average molar intercalation heat of chlorine in the type I clathrate lattice was also calculated for both type of cavities. 相似文献

The binding of pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde (1-PyCHO) with ctDNA was investigated through absorption, intrinsic and induced circular dichroism, viscosity measurements and steady-state fluorescence. The binding and the number of monomer units of the polymer involved in the binding of one dye molecule (site size) have been quantified. The results indicated that the 1-PyCHO molecule binds to the ctDNA in an intercalative mode. The spectroscopic evidence of this intercalation process is also corroborated by the effect of urea, iodide-induced fluorescence quenching of pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde and competitive binding using a fluorescent intercalator, SYBR Green I (SG). The induced circular dichroism (ICD) spectra of pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde complexed with ctDNA show that pyrene-1-carboxaldehyde intercalates into ctDNA and that the intercalation orientation of pyrene to the DNA base-pairs long axis is heterogeneous. On the other hand, the intrinsic circular dichroism (CD) spectra show a stabilization of the right-handed B form of ctDNA, due to the intercalation process. 相似文献

New heterogeneous molybdenum catalyst was prepared through covalent attachment of a Schiff base ligand on the surface of silica coated magnetite nanoparticles via aminopropyl spacer and subsequent complexation with MoO2(acac)2. The prepared nanocatalyst was characterized with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopies and vibrating sample magnetometry. Based on the modified site‐binding model, the response of urea‐sensitive enzymatic field effect transistors (ENFETs) is fitted. The effect of two types of surface sites (silanol and amine sites) and of additional polymeric permselective membrane on the sensitivity of the biosensor is discussed. It is found that the dependence of the slope of the sensor response versus pUrea, on the buffer concentration and on the diffusion of the urea in the enzymatic membrane can be translated by a parameter α that depends on the membrane composition. Moreover, the enhancement of the sensor sensitivity by deposition of additional permselective membranes can be illustrated by a parameter δ that depends on the association of additional permselective membranes and a buffer; the higher values of parameter δ are obtained with a Nafion membrane associated with a phosphate buffer. 相似文献
