The influence of reaction rate on the transfer of chemically reactive species in the laminar visco-elastic fluid flow immersed in a porous medium over a stretching sheet is considered. The flow is caused solely by the linearly stretching sheet and the reactive species is emitted from this sheet and undergoes an isothermal and homogeneous one-stage reaction as it diffuses into the surrounding fluid. A similarity transformation is introduced, which reduces the concentration conservation equation to an ordinary differential equation. An exact analytical solution due to Siddappa and Abel (Z. Angew. Math. Phys. 36 (1985) 890) is adopted for velocity, where as the concentration equation is obtained numerically for higher-order reactions. The numerical computations show that the effect of destructive chemical reaction is to reduce the thickness of concentration boundary layer and increase the mass transfer rate from the sheet to the surrounding fluid. This effect is more effective for zero- and first-order reaction than second- and third-order reactions.  相似文献

The steady-state boundary-layer flows over a permeable stretching sheet are investigated by an analytic method for strongly non-linear problems, namely the homotopy analysis method (HAM). Two branches of solutions are obtained. One of them agrees well with the known numerical solutions. The other is new and has never been reported in general cases. The entrainment velocity of the new branch of solutions is always smaller than that of the known ones. For permeable stretching sheet with sufficiently large suction of mass flux, the difference between the shear stresses and velocity profiles of two branches of solutions is obvious: the shear stress of the new branch of solutions is considerably larger than that of the known ones. However, for impermeable sheet and permeable sheet with injection or small suction of mass flux, the shear stress and the velocity profile of two branches of solutions are rather close: in some cases the difference is so small that the new branch of solutions might be neglected even by numerical techniques. This reveals the reason why the new branch of solutions has not been reported. This work also illustrates that, for some non-linear problems having multiple solutions, analytic techniques are sometimes more effective than numerical methods.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of bright matter wave solitons in spin-1 Bose–Einstein condensates with time modulated nonlinearities. We obtain soliton solutions of an integrable autonomous three-coupled Gross–Pitaevskii (3-GP) equations using Hirota?s method involving a non-standard bilinearization. The similarity transformations are developed to construct the soliton solutions of non-autonomous 3-GP system. The non-autonomous solitons admit different density profiles. An interesting phenomenon of soliton compression is identified for kink-like nonlinearity coefficient with Hermite–Gaussian-like potential strength. Our study shows that these non-autonomous solitons undergo non-trivial collisions involving condensate switching.  相似文献

针对近红外光谱高维、高冗余、非线性和小样本等特点导致光谱相似性度量时出现的“维度灾难”,提出一种基于核映射和rank-order距离的局部保持投影(KRLPP)算法。首先将光谱数据经过核变换映射到更高维空间,有效保证了流形结构的非线性特征。然后改进局部保持投影(LPP)算法对数据进行降维操作,将rank-order距离替代传统的欧氏距离或测地线距离,通过共享邻近点的信息,得到更加准确的局部邻域关系。最后在低维空间通过距离的计算实现光谱的度量。该方法不仅有效解决了高维空间存在的“距离失效”问题,同时还提高了相似性度量结果的精度。为了验证KRLPP算法的有效性,首先根据降维前后数据集信息残差的变化确定了最佳参数近邻点的个数k和降维后的维数d。其次,从光谱降维投影效果和模型分类效果两个角度与PCA,LPP和INLPP算法进行了对比,结果表明KRLPP算法对于烟叶的部位有较好的区分能力,降维效果以及对于不同部位的正确识别率明显优于PCA,LPP和INLPP。最后,从某品牌卷烟叶组配方中选取了5个代表性烟叶作为目标烟叶,分别采用PCA,LPP和KRLPP方法从300个用于配方维护的烟叶样品中为每个目标烟叶寻找相似烟叶,并从化学成分和感官评价两方面对替换前后的烟叶及叶组配方进行了评价分析。其中LPP和KRLPP用于降维的参数选择保持一致,PCA选择前6个主成分。结果表明,由KRLPP选出的替换烟叶与替换配方在总糖、还原糖、总烟碱、总氮等化学成分以及香气、烟气、口感等感官指标上较PCA、LPP方法差异最小,相似性度量准确度最高。该方法可应用于配方产品替换原料的查找,辅助企业实现产品质量的维护。  相似文献

With the help of two kinds of similarity transformations connected with the elliptic equation, at first we analytically derive spatiotemporal self-similar solutions of the (3 + 1)-dimensional inhomogeneous nonlinear Schrödinger equation with the linear and nonlinear gain. Then we give out the mutually exclusive parameter domains for bright and dark similaritons. Finally, we discuss nonlinear tunneling effects for spatiotemporal similaritons passing through the nonlinear barrier or well. Results show that bright and dark similaritons in the normal and anomalous dispersion regions have opposite dynamic behaviors.  相似文献

Flavonoids are the main active components of natural medicinal plants with many physiological functions. In this study, an HPLC fingerprinting method based on the distribution and relative amount of 11 bioactive flavonoids was established for the quality evaluation of commercially available wild Jujube leaf tea (JLT) from China. Separation of the crude flavonoid extract was achieved on a column filled with C18 material with a high carbon content. The flavonoids in wild JLT were identified based on UV spectroscopy and accurate mass measurements by TOF‐MS. Twenty‐one batches of practical samples collected from different habitats were analyzed by using the developed HPLC method to construct the HPLC characteristic fingerprint of wild JLT. Then, combined with clustering and similarity analyses, the HPLC characteristic fingerprint was used for the authentication and quality evaluation of commercial wild JLT. Results indicated that the proposed HPLC characteristic fingerprint reflected the inherent characteristics of wild JLT collected from different regions. Authenticity identification and quality control of commercially available wild Jujube tea were achieved based on the HPLC characteristic fingerprint analysis. This new approach to bioactive component profiling provided a promising reference method for the quality evaluation of commercial wild flower and plant tea.  相似文献

The particle number density in the Smoluchowski coagulation equation usually cannot be solved as a whole, and it can be decomposed into the following two functions by similarity transformation: one is a function of time (the particle k-th moments), and the other is a function of dimensionless volume (self-preserving size distribution). In this paper, a simple iterative direct numerical simulation (iDNS) is proposed to obtain the similarity solution of the Smoluchowski coagulation equation for Brownian motion from the asymptotic solution of the k-th order moment, which has been solved with the Taylor-series expansion method of moment (TEMOM) in our previous work. The convergence and accuracy of the numerical method are first verified by comparison with previous results about Brownian coagulation in the literature, and then the method is extended to the field of Brownian agglomeration over the entire size range. The results show that the difference between the lognormal function and the self-preserving size distribution is significant. Moreover, the thermodynamic constraint of the algebraic mean volume is also investigated. In short, the asymptotic solution of the TEMOM and the self-preserving size distribution form a one-to-one mapping relationship; thus, a complete method to solve the Smoluchowski coagulation equation asymptotically is established.  相似文献
