High-spin iron(III) complexes: structural,spectroscopic, and photochemical studies

Reaction of FeCl₃ with one equivalent of acac (acac = pentane-2,4-dionate) and KTp^Me2 (Tp^Me2 = hydrotris(3,5-dimethyl-pyrazol-1-yl)borate) yielded Tp^Me2Fe(acac)Cl (3), which upon reaction with methanolic solution of sodium azide resulted in the formation of a six coordinate compound Tp^Me2Fe(acac)N₃ (4) with a single azide. When the reaction of FeCl₃ and KTp^Me2 was performed with two equivalents of sodium azide and one equivalent of 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (Pz^Me2H), a six coordinate cis azide compound [Tp^Me2Fe(Pz^Me2H)(N₃)₂] (5) was obtained. These compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray crystallography. Electrochemical studies of 5 show that it can be irreversibly reduced at relatively lower potential than 4. The photolysis of 5 was performed at 77 K at different wavelengths (480, 419, and 330 nm) showing that 5 was photoreduced to a high-spin Fe(II) species instead of photooxidized to Fe(V).     

Synthesis,structure and properties of aquabis(2,4′-bipyridine)di(propionato-O)copper(II)

The title complex has been synthesized and characterized by elemental and thermal analysis, IR and electronic spectroscopy, conductivity studies and X-ray crystallography. In the crystal, the complex has two-fold symmetry and the copper atom adopts square pyramidal coordination. Bond valences for Cu were computed. Cu–O_(propionate) bonds are slightly stronger than the Cu–N bonds, and the Cu–O_(water) bond is distinctly weaker. Molecules are linked by O–H···O hydrogen bonds to form infinite hydrogen-bonded chains along the y axis.     

Copolymerization of styrene and norbornene with β‐diketiminato nickel/methylaluminoxane catalytic system

Styrene–norbornene (S‐N) copolymerizations were carried out using β‐diketiminato nickel complexes CH{C(CF₃)NAr}₂NiBr (Ar = 2,6‐ⁱPr₂C₆H₃, 1 ; Ar = 2,6‐Me₂C₆H₃, 2 ) in the presence of methylaluminoxane. The influence of the comonomer feed content and polymerization temperature on the conversion and composition of the copolymers with the catalytic system was investigated. An increase in the feed ratio of S/N led to an increase in the incorporated styrene content of the resulting copolymer. NMR characterization of the copolymers generated with the catalytic systems showed that the random S‐N copolymers are produced. Differential scanning calorimetric determination of the copolymers shows higher T_g values than polystyrene, and gel permeation chromatographic measurements have shown that the copolymers possess rather narrow molecular weight distributions, suggesting that the copolymerization take place at a single active site. 本文用ESR方法考察了Cp₂ZrH) Cl与RNCSR=C₆H₅,c-C₆H₁₁,n-C₄H₉)的反应的过程,结果表明,在这类反应过程中,Zr-H键发生均裂,中心金属锆经过+4-→+3-→+4的价态变化,反应通过自由基机理进行.

应用不对称2DNOESHY实验方法研究了顺铂配合物Cis-Pt (NH₃)₂(Guo)₂Cl₂的水溶液中的构象,表明鸟苷同铂配合后其糖环构象发生明显的变化。     

计算机在配合物研究中的应用一处理电位溶出法、极谱法、电位法数据的通用程序

本文根据电化学方法研究配合物的特性,设计了一个计算配合物稳定常数的通用程序,其程序用BASIC语言编写。此程序能用于电位溶出法、极谱法和电势法研究配合物的实验数据处理。     

Compact Kähler Surfaces with Trivial Canonical Bundle

The classical conjectures of Weil on K3 surfaces – that the set of suchsurfaces is connected; that a version of the Torelli theorem holds; thateach such surface is Kähler; and that the period map issurjective – are reconsidered in the light of a generalisation of theNakai–Moishezon criterion, and short proofs of all the conjectures aregiven. Most of the proofs apply equally or with minor variation tocomplex 2-tori, the only other compact Kähler surfaces with trivialcanonical bundle.     

On the Patterson–Sullivan Measure for Geometrically Finite Groups Acting on Complex or Quaternionic Hyperbolic Space

The goal of this paper is to provide a tool, the Global Measure Formula, that will facilitate the study of the limit set of discrete geometrically finite groups of isometries of the rank one symmetric spaces. We consider the shadow of a ball from a fixed reference point onto the boundary, and prove a formula that describes the measure of the shadow in terms of the center of the shadowed ball, generalizing a result from real hyperbolic geometry.     

On the Bavrin Integro-Differential Operators and Their Applications to Solution of Functional Equations

We construct a multiplicative group structure in the class of integro-differential operators specific for a polydisk which was introduced by I. I. Bavrin. We indicate two applications of these operators to solution of functional equations.
