Abstract This paper deals with the periodic solutions of Schr?dinger flow from S 3 to S 2. It is shown that the periodic solution is related to the variation of some functional and there exist S1-invariant critical points to this functional. The stability of matter composed of electrons and static nuclei is investigated for a relativistic dynamics for the electrons given by a suitably projected Dirac operator and with Coulomb interactions. In addition there is an arbitrary classical magnetic field of finite energy. Despite the previously known facts that ordinary nonrelativistic matter with magnetic fields, or relativistic matter without magnetic fields, is already unstable when a, the fine structure constant, is too large, it is noteworthy that the combination of the two is still stableprovided the projection onto the positive energy states of the Dirac operator, whichdefines the electron, is chosen properly. A good choice is to include the magnetic field in the definition. A bad choice, which always leads to instability, is the usual one in which the positive energy states are defined by the free Dirac operator. Both assertions are proved here. We consider the asymptotics of the spectrum of a Sturm-Liouville operator acting on a space of vector functions and show that this asymptotics is affected by “rotation” of eigenvectors of the potential. A similar result is obtained for a vector Schrödinger operator.  相似文献

We give an introduction to the spectral and scattering theory for Schr?dinger operators. An abstract short range scattering theory is developed. It is applied to perturbations of the Laplacian. Particular attention is paid to the study of Stark Hamiltonians. The main result is an explanation of the discrepancy between the classical and the quantum scattering theory for one-dimensional Stark Hamiltonians.  相似文献

In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with space- and time-dependent coefficients on ∝m and \(\mathbb{T}^m \). By an approximation argument we prove that for suitable initial values, the Cauchy problem admits unique local solutions. Global existence is discussed in the cases of m = 1, 2.  相似文献

We pose and solve the asymptotic Dirichlet problem for the Schrödinger operator via rough isometries on a certain class of Riemannian manifolds. With suitable potentials, we give the solvability of the problem for a naturally defined class of data functions.

从光孤子传输所满足的非线性薛定谔方程出发,通过对方程中参数的分析和选择,对影响孤子传输的各种因素采用单独分析和综合分析对比方法得到了两个新的结论:(1)二阶色散参数在不太大的范围内变化只会影响脉冲的幅值,对脉冲形状影响不大,而输入脉冲的啁啾则是使脉冲发生畸变的主要原因;(2)在啁啾、三阶色散和五阶非线性同时存在的情况下,它们对脉冲都会产生很大的影响,且存在相互影响和制约关系,三者在某一参数值附近,对脉冲却存在着增益效应和"整容"作用。针对分析结果从理论上提出了改进光孤子传输特性的解决方案,这对光孤子通信的实践过程是有一定实际意义的。  相似文献

by exhibiting the dispersive structure in the scaling invariant space for this log-log regime. In addition, we will extend to the pure energy space a dynamical characterization of the solitons among the zero energy solutions.

Let H be a Schr(o)dinger operator on Rn. Under a polynomial decay condition for the kernel of its spectral operator, we show that the Besov spaces and Triebel-Lizorkin spaces associated with H are well defined. We further give a Littlewood-Paley characterization of Lp spaces in terms of dyadic functions of H. This generalizes and strengthens the previous result when the heat kernel of H satisfies certain upper Gaussian bound.  相似文献
