A new method for the quantitative analysis of monkey serum propofol, which is widely used as an anaesthetic agent, was developed by utilizing a temperature-responsive polymer of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) and butyl methacrylate (BMA) as the stationary phase of HPLC–fluorescence detection. This poly(NIPAAm-co-BMA) copolymer undergoes a reversible phase transition from a hydrophilic to a hydrophobic microstructure when triggered by change in the temperature. Also this chromatographic system is possible to separate the analytes by using only water as a mobile phase. A pretreatment of the serum (80 μL) was only solid-phase extraction, and the recovery rate of propofol and internal standard was more than 77%, respectively. This method covered the calibration range from 0.5 μg/mL to 10 μg/mL and allowed a reproducible quantification of the serum propofol in administrated monkey serum. The intra- and inter-assay relative standard deviations were less than 14.1%. In addition, there was good relationship of the quantification values between the developed method and the widely used reversed-phase HPLC method. Our developed method has proven to be useful for a simple analysis of propofol in clinical practice, because the avoidance of complicated mobile phase preparation was possible, and only temperature changing could regulate the retention time of the analyte. Group isomorphism and homomorphism are topics central to abstract algebra, yet research on instructors’ views of these concepts is limited. Based on interviews from two instructors as well as classroom video from eight class periods, this paper examines the language used to discuss isomorphism and homomorphism. Language used by instructors in interviews and classroom settings are identified and classified into four main categories: formal definition, mapping, sameness, and combinations of sameness and mapping language. How the two instructors drew on language classified into those four categories in the interview and instruction settings are examined for isomorphism and homomorphism. Similarities and differences between the interview and instruction contexts reveal the wide variety of ways of understanding isomorphism and homomorphism as well as a research need to examine mathematicians’ content knowledge in more than one context. 相似文献

Our study examined ways preservice teachers (PSTs) make connections between teaching practices and use of student resources that support productive struggle and promote equity. Our research questions are: (1) How do PSTs notice and describe the equity-based mathematics teaching practice of leveraging student resources to support student struggles? and (2) In what ways do PSTs make connections to and interpret the role student resources play in the resolution of students’ mathematical struggles? The qualitative study examined 39 PSTs in a mathematics content course for PSTs. Data come from a video analysis assignment where PSTs described their mathematical interpretations of the student struggle(s) and teacher’s use of student resources to support the struggle resolution. Findings show that PSTs noticed teacher moves that leveraged student’s mathematical thinking and linguistic funds of knowledge and based the productive level of the struggle on actions built upon peers, linguistic knowledge and prior mathematical knowledge. 相似文献
