We present the study of angular selectivity for holographic multiplexing based on random phase encoding by a ground glass. The rotational selectivity of the volume hologram is calculated theoretically and coincides with the experimental measurement. By controlling the parameters including rotational center, effective numerical aperture of both volume hologram and the ground glass, we can obtain different rotational selectivity applied to random phase encoding in volume holographic storage.  相似文献

We report on near-field scanning optical microscopy measurements on randomly textured ZnO thin films. These films are commonly used as transparent conducting oxide in thin-film solar cells. Textured interfaces are used to increase the scattering of light, which leads to a better light trapping in the solar cell. Here, both the topography and the local transmission are measured with a tapered fiber tip with very high spatial resolution. By varying the distance of the tip and the wavelength of the incident light, the optical profile is visualized and reveals a strong confinement of light on a subwavelength scale which corresponds to ridges in the surface structure. The confinement of light results from guided optical modes in the ZnO which are accompanied by a modulated evanescent field in air. No corresponding structure to this modulation is found in the topography. These results give new insight for further improvement of light trapping in solar cells.  相似文献

Abstract

We prove that the integrated density of states (IDS) for the randomly perturbed Landau Hamiltonian is Hölder continuous at all energies with any Hölder exponent 0 < q < 1. The random Anderson-type potential is constructed with a nonnegative, compactly supported single-site potential u. The distribution of the iid random variables is required to be absolutely continuous with a bounded, compactly supported density. This extends a previous result Combes et al. [Combes, J. M., Hislop, P. D., Klopp, F. (2003a). Hölder continuity of the integrated density of states for some random operators at all energies. Int. Math. Res. Notices 2003: 179--209] that was restricted to constant magnetic fields having rational flux through the unit square. We also prove that the IDS is Hölder continuous as a function of the nonzero magnetic field strength.  相似文献

The use of Gibbs samplers driven by improper posteriors has been a controversial issue in the statistics literature over the last few years. It has recently been demonstrated that it is possible to make valid statistical inferences through such Gibbs samplers. Furthermore, theoretical and empirical evidence has been given to support the idea that there are actually computational advantages to using these nonpositive recurrent Markov chains rather than more standard positive recurrent chains. These results provide motivation for a general study of the behavior of the Gibbs Markov chain when it is not positive recurrent. This article concerns stability relationships among the two-variable Gibbs sampler and its subchains. We show that these three Markov chains always share the same stability; that is, they are either all positive recurrent, all null recurrent, or all transient. In addition, we establish general results concerning the ways in which positive recurrent Markov chains can arise from null recurrent and transient Gibbs chains. Six examples of varying complexity are used to illustrate the results.  相似文献

We consider a system of diffusing particles on the real line in a quadratic external potential and with a logarithmic interaction potential. The empirical measure process is known to converge weakly to a deterministic measure-valued process as the number of particles tends to infinity. Provided the initial fluctuations are small, the rescaled linear statistics of the empirical measure process converge in distribution to a Gaussian limit for sufficiently smooth test functions. For a large class of analytic test functions, we derive explicit general formulae for the mean and covariance in this central limit theorem by analyzing a partial differential equation characterizing the limiting fluctuations.  相似文献

We introduce a model for the slow relaxation of an energy landscape caused by its local interaction with a random walker whose motion is dictated by the landscape itself. By choosing relevant measures of time and potential this self-quenched dynamics can be mapped on to the “True” Self-Avoiding Walk model. This correspondence reveals that the average distance of the walker at time t from its starting point is , where for one dimension and 1/2 for all higher dimensions. Clear effects criterion is an important criterion for selecting fractional factorial designs [1]. Tang et al. [2] derived upper and lower bounds on the maximum number of clear two-factor interactions (2fi's) in 2n-(n-k) designs of resolution Ⅲ and Ⅳ by constructing 2n-(n-k) designs. But the method in [2] does not perform well sometimes when the resolution is III. This article modifies the construction method for 2n-(n-k) designs of resolution Ⅲ in [2].
