An equation for multilayer adsorption from multicomponent liquid mixtures on solid surfaces1 has been examined. For this purpose experimental adsorption data for four alcohols from benzene/n-heptane mixture on silica gel have been measured. Average number of the adsorbed layers, heterogeneity parameter and capacity of the surface phase have been evaluated by using the equation mentioned above.

Zusammenfassung Eine Gleichung für Mehrschichten-Adsorption an festen Oberflächen1 aus Mehrkomponentenlösungen wurde getestet. Zu diesem Zweck wurden experimentelle Daten für die Adsorption von vier Alkoholen aus Benzol/n-Heptan-Mischung an Silica Gel herangezogen. Der Mittelwert für die Anzahl der Adsorptionsschichten, der Heterogenitätsparameter und die Kapazität der Oberflächenphase wurde aus dieser Gleichung berechnet.

A structural feature of hydrogen bonding chains found in the crystals of trifluoromethylated amino alcohols is reported. Hydrogen bondings of 3-(N,N-dialkylamino)-1,1,1-trifluoro-2-propanols construct chiral spiral hydrogen bonding chains. Lone pairs on the nitrogen atoms of the amino alcohols participate in two hydrogen bondings. Detailed structural analysis of the hydrogen bonds of the 3-(N,N-dimethylamino)-1,1,1-trifluoro-2-propanol suggested that the chain built up with alternating intermolecular-medium and intramolecular-weak hydrogen bonds. The medium intermolecular hydrogen bond, which transfers a proton from the hydroxy group to the amino nitrogen, would make a tentative zwitterionic form of the molecule. Then, electrostatic attraction between the charges in the zwitterion centers induced a weak intramolecular hydrogen bond.  相似文献

An investigation was conducted of various glasses, other than soda lime or borosilicate, for use in glass capillary gas chromatography. The work has uncovered some unique chromatographic qualities in the use of potash soda lead and fused silica glasses as materials for making glass capillary columns. The fused silica proved to be an ideal material for capillary column construction, being inherently more inert than glass containing metal oxides. It has been shown that through the use of thin wall capillary tubing of high flexibility many of the mechanical problems associated with glass capillary columns, such as fragility and column straightening, can be avoided.  相似文献

A Pd-catalyzed haloallylation of alkynes with allyl alcohols in ionic liquids has been reported. Both chloroallylation and bromoallylation can be easily carried out with high selectivity. A variety of 1,4-dienes were formed in moderate to excellent yields. The reaction system of the Pd catalyst as well as the ionic liquid can be recycled for several times. And the ionic liquid acts as not only a solvent in the reaction, but also provides the excess halide ions to control Z/E selectivity and acts as a ligand inhibit the β-hydride elimination.  相似文献

Design and development of a domino cyclative approach for the synthesis of new polycyclic γ-butenolides from β-aryl-Z-enoate propargylic alcohols, through the interception of an intermediate of the Z-enoate-assisted Meyer–Schuster rearrangement, has been reported. A systematic NMR analysis of various derivatives of this class revealed and supported the potential atropisomerism associated with them. These molecules represent first examples of butenolide ring-based atropisomeric compounds in organic chemistry. The synthetic process involves a synchronous construction of both rings with concurrent creation of the potential stereogenic rotational axis.  相似文献

Controlled dilithiation of propargyl bromide with two equivalents of n-butyllithium, in the presence of TMEDA, produces the operational equivalent of the dianion 1,3-dilithiopropyne. The latter reacts efficiently with acid chlorides to produce bishomopropargylic alcohols in a single step route and with high regioselectivity and moderate yields.  相似文献
