Double or nothing : The title reaction converts a range of aromatic aldehydes and allenylmethyl/allyl silanes into 1,6‐dioxecane derivatives in good to excellent yields (see scheme; Ar=aryl, Tf=triflate, THF=tetrahydrofuran, TMS=trimethylsilyl). In addition, the bisdiene product has been transformed into the corresponding tricyclic compound through a Diels–Alder reaction.

The Prins-type cyclization of ketones with homoallylic and homopropargylic alcohols in the presence of TMSI generated in situ from TMSCl and NaI produced 2,2-disubstituted- or spirocyclic-4-iodo-tetrahydropyrans and spirocyclic-4-iodo-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyrans in good yields. A one-pot multi-component Lewis acid-catalyzed Prins cyclization was developed with high yield and selectivity. The crossed 2,4,6-trisubstituted tetrahydropyran products were formed with high stereoselectivity. Iodine is found to be an effective reagent for the cross-coupling of olefins with aldehydes under mild conditions to produce 4-substituted 1,3-dioxane derivatives in excellent yields and in short reaction times with high selectivity. The use of iodine makes this procedure simple, convenient, cost-effective and practical. This method works not only with formaldehyde but also with acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde and cyclohexanecarboxaldehyde.  相似文献

A series of micro-mesoporous polymeric ionic liquids (PILs) have been successfully synthesized by the method of anion and cation copolymerization. Then use FT-IR, N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms, SEM, and TG to characterize them. Furthermore, the catalytic performance of the synthesized PILs was investigated for the Prins reaction of propylene with 1, 3, 5-trioxane. Among the four PILs synthesized, VIMBs-DVB-SSA has better catalytic activities for the Prins reaction. Under the optimal conditions, 100 °C, 8 wt%, 4 h and n (propylene)/n (1, 3, 5-trioxane) = 4:1, the conversion of formaldehyde (99.8%) and selectivity (81.7%) for 4-methyl-1, 3-dioxane. In addition, the effects of reaction time, catalyst dosage, and reaction temperature and mole ratio of reaction substrates on the reaction were also investigated. The prepared catalyst had good thermal stability and can be reused easily.  相似文献

Multi-substituted tetrahydropyrans (THPs) have been prepared via a one-pot, In(OTf)3-catalyzed, sequential allyl-/crotylboration-Prins cyclization. The homoallylic borate intermediate formed during the allyl- and crotylboration was converted in situ to an oxocarbenium ion and trapped with a nucleophile. The reaction has been extended to include a one-pot allylboration-cross Prins cyclization as well.  相似文献
