Two kinds of topical dosage forms of hinokitiol (HKL), namely vesicles and oil‐in‐water (O/W) emulsions, were prepared. Behenyl trimethylammonium chloride (BTMAC) and fatty acids were used as bilayer‐forming materials of the vesicles, and oils were employed as oil phases of the emulsions. The substantivity of HKL in the preparations was evaluated in vitro using hairless mouse skins. After applying the preparations onto the skin and rinsing it, the amount of HKL left on the skin was determined using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It was higher when HKL was encapsulated in cationic vesicles rather than in nonionic vehicles, emulsions. An ionic interaction between the cationic vehicle and negatively charged skin is likely to account for the high substantivity. Among the emulsion preparations, an emulsion having octyl salicylate as oil phase exhibited the highest substantivity of HKL. This is probably because that the oil is a good solvent for HKL and it is skin‐retentive. In vivo hair growth‐promotion effect of each dosage form was investigated, where the sample application onto the clipped backs of female mice (C57BL6) and the subsequent rinsing of the backs were done once a day for 30 days. Only HKL in the cationic vesicles had hair growth promotion effect, possibly due to the significant substantivity.  相似文献

Synthesis and ion transport properties of hot-pressed solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs), (1-x) PEO: x KI, where x is the content of KI in wt%, are reported. A hot-press technique has been used for the formation of the polymeric membranes in place of the usual solution cast method. The composition (80PEO:20KI) was identified as the highest conducting polymer electrolyte on the basis of compositional dependent conductivity studies of PEO:KI films. A conductivity enhancement of more than two orders of magnitude from that of the pure PEO was achieved. Materials characterization and ion transport mechanism were explained by using various experimental techniques.  相似文献

利用氢氧化钾对苯乙烯-马来酸酐交替共聚物(SMA)进行水解,所得中等皂化程度的SMA水解产物(SMAA)在水溶液中具有刚性棒状直链构型;将此特殊结构的大分子作为分散剂用于苯乙烯悬浮聚合,通过控制搅拌速度和油水比,可得到梭形聚苯乙烯粒子;在优化条件下,粒子平均长度6.8 mm,宽度1.4 mm,厚度0.5 mm,长径比约5.0.其可能的机理为,中等皂化程度的刚棒直链型SMAA在聚合物"软粒子"表面能形成难以"回复"的有效保护层,使由剪切形成的变形聚合物"软粒子"在聚合过程中能保持形状和尺寸的稳定,从而得到梭形聚合物粒子.  相似文献

Single crystals of a new calcium(II) complex of benzilic acid, [Ca(C14H11O3)2(C14H12O3)2] have been successfully grown by gel diffusion technique at room temperature. Single crystal X-ray diffraction study reveals that the compound belongs to orthorhombic system with space group Fddd. The adjacent CaO8 units are linked via O–H–O interaction to form one dimensional polymeric chains. The extensive hydrogen bonding interactions lead to a supramolecular structure. The grown crystals were further characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV–Visible, thermogravimetric, powder X-ray diffraction and solid state photoluminescence studies.  相似文献

Currently, the treatment of fungal keratitis (FK) infection remains a major clinical challenge, and current investigations, development in the field have widened approaches. The present work was aimed to synthesis a dual role novel carrier system consisting of Ofloxacin (OFL) and Nepafenac (NF) hydrophobic drugs incorporated in Zinc ions (Zn2+) tagged Polyvinyl acetate phthalate (PVAP) grafted Polypyrrole (PPy) carrier (OFL&NF-Zn2+/PVAP-g-PPy) to treat FK infection. The FT-IR, SEM, and dynamic light scattering revealed the carrier chemical structure, spherical shape, and the average particle size of 691.3 ± 1 nm. The carrier’s entrapment of OFL and NF drugs has been observed at 78.23% and 60.03%. The carrier exhibited significant antifungal activity at the concentration of 58 mg mL−1 against Candida albicans which was lower than that of the free ofloxacin. The cell viability results suggested up to 70 μg/mL concentration of OFL&NF-Zn2+/PVAP-g-PPy did not induce any cytotoxicity on cultured ADSC cells at 48 h treatment time. It confirms the fact that the OFL&NF-Zn2+/PVAP-g-PPy carrier showed good biocompatibility and good anti-fungal activity. Thus the carriers provide a significant potential to improve the bioavailability of topically applied drugs to treat fungal eye infection.  相似文献

The influence of cholesterol on the structure of unilamellar-vesicle (ULV) phospholipid bilayers is studied using small-angle neutron scattering. ULVs made up of short-, mid- and long-chain monounsaturated phospholipids (diCn :1PC, n = 14 , 18, 22, respectively) are examined over a range (0-45mol %) of cholesterol concentrations. Cholesterol's effect on bilayer structure is characterized through changes to the lipid's transmembrane thickness, lateral area and headgroup hydration. For all three lipids, analysis of the experimental data shows that the addition of cholesterol results in a monotonic increase of these parameters. In the case of the short- and mid-chain lipids, this is an expected result, however, such a finding was unexpected for the long-chain lipid. This implies that cholesterol has a pronounced effect on the lipid's hydrocarbon chain organization.  相似文献

Combination therapy such as photothermal therapy (PTT) enhanced chemotherapy is regarded as a promising strategy for cancer treatment. Herein, we developed redox-responsive polymeric vesicles based on the amphiphilic triblock copolymer PCL-ss-PEG-ss-PCL. To avoid the limited therapeutic effect of chemotherapeutic drugs caused by systemic exposures and drug resistance, the redox-sensitive polymeric vesicles were cargoed with two chemotherapeutics: doxorubicin (DOX) and paclitaxel (PTX). Besides, indocyanine green (ICG) was encapsulated, and cell-penetrating peptides and LHRH targeting molecule were modified on the surface of polymeric vesicles. The results indicated that the polymeric vesicles can load different kinds of drugs with high drug loading content, trigger drug release in responsive to the reductive environment, realize high cellular uptake via dual peptides and laser irradiation, and achieve higher cytotoxicity via chemo-photothermal combination therapy. Hence, the redox-responsive LHRH/TAT dual peptides-conjugated PTX/DOX/ICG co-loaded polymeric micelles exhibited great potential in tumor-targeting and chemo-photothermal therapy.  相似文献

We report the fabrication of a microfluidic apparatus and the realization of a sensors based on PEDOT : PSS, a biocompatible semiconductor polymer used in substitution of standard electrodes for electrophysiological studies and for detection of nanopores in membrane. This gives the possibility to study the mechanisms of ions balance and molecular transport though cell membranes. In particular the apparatus is based on two chambers connected through an aperture in a PTFE sheet where lipid bilayer are formed using Montal‐Mueller method, and the pore‐forming proteins activity is detected by polymeric electrodes. This methodology could be applied to examine different membrane proteins for the purpose of biosensing, drug screening and nanopore technologies.  相似文献

The formation of giant‐vesicle‐like structures by self‐assembling linolenic acid sophorolipid (LNSL) molecules is revealed. Sophorolipids belong to the class of bolaamphiphilic glycolipid biosurfactants. Interestingly, the number of double bonds present in the hydrophobic core of sophorolipids is seen to have a great influence on the type of self‐assembled structures formed. Dye encapsulation results establish the presence of an aqueous compartment inside the LNSL vesicles. Molecular dynamics simulation (MD) studies suggest the existence of two possible conformations of LNSLs inside the self‐assembled structures and that LNSL molecules arrange in layered structures.  相似文献
