In this study, carbon supported Pt and Pt-Pd were synthesized as oxygen reduction reaction electrocatalysts for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Pt and Pt-Pd nanoparticles have been synthesized by reduction of metal precursors in presence of NaBH4. Various techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were utilized to study the prepared samples. Furthermore, electrochemical properties of the prepared samples were evaluated from cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), chronoamperometry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results showed, the crystallite size of electrocatalysts (Pt and Pt-Pd) is below 10 nm. The higher catalytic activity was detected for Pt-Pd/C electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). In addition, it is believed that the better performance of electrocatalyst is related to the synergic effect between Pt and Pd nanoparticles, weakening of the OO bond on Pd-modified Pt nanoparticles in ORR, uniform dispersion of Pd and Pt on the carbon support and higher electrochemical active surface area (EAS) of Pt-Pd/C electrocatalyst. 相似文献

ArF laser treatment of polyethersulfone (PES) films was performed to improve biocompatibility of surfaces. For this purpose, the threshold fluence for laser ablation of PES was obtained from experimental measurements and then samples were irradiated at 2 separate ranges of fluences, i.e. below and above the ablation threshold. In order to investigate the physico-chemical changes, the modified surfaces were characterized by attenuated total reflectance (ATR) infrared spectroscopy and contact-angle measurements. The biocompatibility of the treated samples in comparison to those untreated was examined in vitro using a platelet adhesion test. The number of adhered platelets was obtained using the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) method. For surfaces irradiated below the ablation threshold, a high reduction in the number of the adhered platelets was observed; while this number increased in samples treated at the fluence above the ablation threshold. Improving the membrane model by which the entropy of the black hole is studied, we study the entropy of the black hole in the non-thermal equilibrium state. To give the problem stated here widespread meaning, we discuss the (n 2)-dimensional de Sitter spacetime. Through discussion, we obtain that the black hole‘s entropy which contains two horizons (a black hole‘s horizon and a cosmological horizon) in the non-thermal equilibrium state comprises the entropy corresponding to the black hole‘s horizon and the entropy corresponding to the cosmological horizon. Furthermore, the entropy of the black hole is a natural property of the black hole. The entropy is irrelevant to the radiation field out of the horizon. This deepens the understanding of the relationship between black hole‘s entropy and horizon‘s area. A way to study the bosonic and fermionic entropy of the black hole in high non-thermal equilibrium spacetime is given. 相似文献

Membrane electrode assembly (MEA) in proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) have been fabricated using electrospray-assisted deposition of platinum-carbon composites on carbon-fiber-based paper substrate, because the technique is versatile, operated in atmospheric pressure, and easy to scale up for commercialization. In this study, we investigate the effects of electrospray-assisted platinum loadings from 0.1 to 0.5 mg cm−2 on the electrochemical performance of PEMFCs. The PEMFCs with platinum loading of 0.3 mg cm−2 generate the highest power density, which is ∼35% higher than that of PEMFCs fabricated by traditional brush-deposited catalyst layers. Relatively high platinum loading (>0.3 mg cm−2) enhances the pressure drop in MEA; therefore, the resulting power density is decreased due to low-reacting gas permeability. We also examine the effect of porous structures on the electrochemical performance of PEMFCs. Brij 58-based surfactant templates create micro- and nano-porous structures in the platinum-carbon composite thin layers via thermal removal. These porous structures in the platinum-carbon composite thin layers increase the reacting gas permeability and simultaneously lower the cell resistance, significantly enhancing the electrochemical performance of PEMFCs with porous structures. 相似文献

The potential profile for a model of squid axon membrane has been determined for two physiological states: resting and action states. The non-linear Poisson-Boltzmann equation has been solved by considering the volumetric charge densities due to charges dissolved in an electrolytic solution and fixed on both glycocalyx and cytoplasmatic proteins. Results showing the features of the potential profile along the outer electrolytic region are similar for both resting and action states. However, the potential fall along glycocalyx at action state is lower than at resting. A small variation in the Na+ concentration drastically affects the surface membrane potentials and vice versa. We conclude that effects on the potential profile due to surface lipidic bilayer charge and contiguous electric double layers are more relevant than those provoked by fixed charges distributed along the cell cytoplasm. 相似文献

The size effects on magnetic properties of nanowires arrays were studied varying the nanowires diameter and maintaining the same periodicity among them, for two different nominal compositions of Co and Ni in the alloy form. The competition among magnetocrystalline and shape anisotropies changes drastically from smallest to biggest diameters altering the easy axis direction. In the case of 75% of Co in alloy, experimental values of the effective anisotropy constant (Keff) vary from positive to negative depending on the diameter, which means a reversal of the easy axis direction. For 50% of Co the shape anisotropy dominates over the magnetocrystalline for all studied diameters. 相似文献

通过反射干涉对比显微技术和快速图像分析技术,捕获细胞质膜外光晕变化和细胞周边边缘激发变化的信息,并采用闪烁本征模式分解测定柠檬醛作用于黄曲霉质膜前后各模式(m=0,1,2)所对应的平均平方振幅<δn2m>、剪切弹性μ和弹性弯曲模量Kc,与理论模式光谱相比,研究柠檬醛损伤质膜的物理机制.结果表明,m=1的平动模式主导了光晕波谱,其平均平方振幅呈双指数衰变,该模式几乎与剪切弹性无关,即μ=0;弹性弯曲模量Kc的最小和最大值分别为9.45×10-18J和5.43×10-17J,与柠檬醛的浓度成正相关性.揭示该醛对黄曲霉质膜的损伤,除改变膜的选择通透性和电导率外,同时使质膜平动模式的平均平方振幅呈双指数衰变,弹性弯曲模量Kc增加,从而降低膜伸缩的弹性. 相似文献
