The 3-D modeling of heads by using optical triangulation techniques is of great interest in the context of virtual reality, telecommunication and computer animation. This paper presents a structured light-based system mainly for human heads. It is named “3-D Laser Color Scanner” (3DLCS). A 3-D model is obtained with a cylindrical scan. The laser beam is switched on and off using a “light valve” and two successive CCD frames are captured, one with the laser line showing and one without. We can simplify the laser line extracting by subtracting these two images.In this system, two CCD cameras are used to avoid occlusion problems. Color information is read from the CCD when the laser light is absent. Since traditional laser scanner will miss the range data in the low-reflectance areas such as the hair area of human head, a shape from silhouette algorithm is presented to overcome this problem. This study reports on the effect of input power to hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) plasmas. The power dependence of the plasma-phase species and of the surface chemistry (of the deposits) has been investigated. Neutral and positive molecular species were detected within the plasma using mass spectrometry (MS). Secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) was used to probe the molecular structure of the deposits. The elemental composition of the surface was determined by XPS and the deposition rate was monitored using a vibrating quartz crystal microbalance. Neutral and cationic molecules of mass greater than HMDSO were detected in the plasma. Their formation through ion-molecule reactions is proposed. Changes in the relative concentration of plasma-phase species follow those seen in molecular species detected at the deposit surface. Thus, we believe that the molecular structure of the deposits can be related to the species present in the plasma. While traditionally the dominant mechanism in deposit formation is assumed to be free radical combinations, we propose other possibilities involving cations with the aim of putting forward a new perspective on plasma polymerization mechanisms and thereby stimulating discussion. 相似文献

Polypropylene microporous membranes were treated with plasma in a mixture of N2 and H2 (1:2 in volume). Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ultra-violet (UV) spectra demonstrated the success of grafting amino groups. The density of the polar amino groups on the membrane surface is about 0.59 μmol/cm^2. The as-treated membranes were successively applied to the in situ synthesis of oligonucleotides and an average coupling yield was more than 98%. The surface feature of the treated membrane is suggested to be responsible for its advantage over a glass slide. 相似文献

Cationic polyelectrolytes were synthesized and used as semipermanent coating materials for capillaries in electrophoresis. The polyelectrolytes used were a homopolymer of poly(methacryl oxyethyl trimethylammonium chloride) (PMOTAC) and its poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)‐grafted analogue. Two PMOTAC polyelectrolytes, with molar masses of 85,000 and 300,000 g/mol, and PEG‐grafted PMOTAC with a molar mass of 280,000 g/mol were synthesized and then characterized by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Attachment of the polyelectrolytes to the wall of the fused silica capillary for electrophoresis caused the electroosmotic flow (EOF) to reverse. The polyelectrolyte coatings were tested over the pH range 2–11 at different buffer ionic strengths, and the most stable and strongest anodic EOFs were obtained at acidic pH values with low ionic strength buffers. Between runs the capillary is merely rinsed for 2 or 3 min with the background electrolyte solution. With the PMOTAC coatings at pH values ≤5, the RSDs of the EOFs were less than 2.9% after 60 injections. The effects of the molar mass of the polycation and of PEGylation of PMOTAC on the interactions between the polycations and basic proteins were studied at acidic pH values. The differences in the effective electrophoretic mobilities, resolution values, and plate numbers of the proteins with the different coatings were due to the EOF, as demonstrated through calculations of reduced mobilities, relative resolution values, and relative plate numbers. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Summary A microwave coherent backscattering experiment has been carried out on Mirabelle, a weakly ionised plasma device, with the
objective of measuring the electron density fluctuation level. The experiment is a preliminary step in order to prepare the
detection system for a microwave stimulated backscattering experiment. The incident electromagnetic wave is focused in front
of a plane grid which excites ion acoustic or electron Bernstein waves inducing fluctuations in the plasma. The backscattering
signal is collected by the launching circuit and detected by homodyne mixing. The typical ratio of the scattered power to
the incident power is about 10−12 and the relative density fluctuations are of the order of δn
e/n
e=10−3 against a background electron density ofn
e=1–5·109 cm−3. The backscattering measurement is compared with Langmuir probe measurements. The spectral width of the backscattered signal
has also been studied, by taking into account effects due to the incident wave focusing and plasma wave damping.
