A sol-gel synthesis procedure based on the method proposed by Stöber et al. (J Colloid Interface Sci 26:302–315, 1968) has been adopted for the one-step preparation of mono-dispersed silica nanospheres. An excellent control of the particle diameter over a wide range is obtained by varying the amount of silicon alkoxide only, while the concentration of all other components is kept fixed: this allows the fabrication of artificial opals with a finely tuned and precisely predictable lattice parameter.  相似文献

We consider the shape of crystals which are soft in the sense that their elastic modulus μ is small compared to their surface tension γ, more precisely μa < γ where a is the lattice spacing. We show that their surface steps penetrate inside the crystal as edge dislocations. As a consequence, these steps are broad with a small energy which we calculate. We also calculate the elastic interaction between steps a distance d apart, which is a 1/d 2 repulsion. We finally calculate the roughening temperatures of successive facets in order to compare with the remarkable shapes of lyotropic crystals recently observed by Pieranski et al. The shear-induced ordering of lamellar and gyroid structures of a nonionic surfactant C16E7/D2O system in a Couette shear cell ( 0.001 < < 10 s-1, : shear rate) has been investigated by using a small angle neutron scattering technique. In the lamellar phase, the steady shear flow having > 0.01 s-1 suppresses undulation fluctuations of lamellae (Maxwell effect). This suppression of fluctuations brings two effects; 1) shear-induced lamellae ordering toward a parallel orientation and 2) obstruction of a lamellar↦gyroid transition. It is quite interesting to note that there is a characteristic shear rate range ( 0.01 < < 0.3 s-1), where both effects take place. We have also investigated the shear effects on the gyroid phase. Below the characteristic shear rate range, the gyroid structure keeps three-dimensional network lattice, while above the characteristic shear rate range, the gyroid structure transforms to the parallel orientation lamellae (shear-induced gyroid-lamellar transition). Thus the shear flow having the characteristic shear rate plays very important roles in shear ordering phenomena. Received 26 June 2000 and Received in final form 12 January 2001  相似文献

运用传输矩阵方法和Bloch定理计算了两类单负材料组成的一维半无限光子晶体反射谱,与有限多层结构通带中振荡的反射谱相比,半无限结构的反射谱曲线是光滑的,是有限周期结构反射谱振幅取平均的结果,可用来估计通带中的反射率.研究半无限结构的反射谱,有利于分析带隙的位置和宽度,结果表明,由两类单负材料组成的光子晶体中,不仅存在零有效位相带隙,还存在角度带隙,尤其发现高频处的Bragg带隙也是一个全方位带隙.  相似文献

By the 90°elastic light scattering investigation and far field observation in the range of 20-800℃,the relation between behavior of light scattering anomalies and evolution of nanodomain structures in lattice of barium sodium niobate(Ba2NaNb5O15,BSN)crystal was clarified.The correlation between anomalies on the temperature curves of the elastic light scattering intensity and temperature transformations of nanodomains was studied by X-ray and electron microscope methods.Phase transition near 500℃ and movement in field of scattering light could be explained by appearance of a new incommensurate phase.  相似文献

Single crystals of Ba2NaNb5O15 (BNN) singly doped with Sm3+, Eu3+, Tb3+ or Dy3+ have been grown by means of the flux growth method. Their visible emission and excitation spectra and the decay profiles of the luminescence have been measured at room temperature. All spectral features are significantly inhomogeneously broadened in consequence of the structural disorder of the host and of the doping mechanisms. The analysis of the observed spectra allows formulating an hypothesis about the site occupancy of the active ions in the BNN lattice.  相似文献

Three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) photonic crystals based on III–V semiconductors are described. On the 3D photonic crystals, the development of complete photonic crystals at optical wavelengths and their applications to ultrasmall optical integrated circuits including 3D sharp bend waveguide are described. Photonic crystals exhibit band gaps, meaning that electromagnetic fields cannot propagate in them for specific ranges of wavelengths and directions. The calculation of band structure diagrams has been intensively studied and is now well understood. In contrast to that, so-called wave-vector diagrams (i.e. dispersion surfaces, depicting the loci of all relevant wave vectors at a fixed wavelength) are less known and used. In principle, they show how the effective index of the structure depends on the direction of propagation. A method to calculate explicitly wave-vector diagrams for two-dimensional photonic crystals is derived which leads finally to quadratic eigenvalue problems. Results for square and triangular lattices are presented and some applications are discussed.  相似文献

Based on Timoshenko beam model, a theoretical model of radially polarized piezoelectric ceramic tubes is investigated. In the model, the piezoelectric effects are considered, and the shear correction factor is introduced which reveals effects of the size of the cross-section and Poisson’s ratio. Based on the model, the particular attentions are devoted to effects of the boundary conditions at two ends on flexural resonance frequencies of the piezoelectric ceramic tubes. Changing the sizes of the tubes and the mass loads at both free ends, the variations of the flexural resonance frequencies of free–free piezoelectric ceramic tubes are calculated theoretically. Besides, the flexural resonance frequencies of the piezoelectric ceramic tube cantilevers with mass loads at one free end are also investigated theoretically. To verify accuracy of the theoretical mode, the flexural resonance frequencies for different lengths of the piezoelectric ceramic tubes and different loaded masses are measured experimentally. The theoretical results agree well with the experimental measurement, which demonstrates that the model is accurate for analyzing the flexural resonance frequencies of the piezoelectric ceramic tubes with mass loads.  相似文献

为满足惯性约束聚变(ICF)实验对激光驱动器高效三倍频能力的要求, 对离线测量晶体角度相位匹配方案进行了优化。采取的主要优化措施是:提高晶体准直技术能力;降低模拟小口径激光输出变化对测量不稳定性的影响。通过理论分析和对实际测量结果的系统分析,得到了晶体离线测量的不确定度:其中二倍频相位匹配角测量扩展不确定度为15.94 rad,三倍频相位匹配角测量扩展不确定度为27.8 rad,达到了较高的晶体离线测量精度要求。  相似文献
