The intermolecular interactions between poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) and poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) in tetrahydrofuran (THF), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) were thoroughly investigated by the viscosity measurement. It has been found that the solvent selected has a great influence upon the polymer-polymer interactions in solution. If using PVAc and THF, or PVAc and DMF to form polymer solvent, the intrinsic viscosity of PVC in polymer solvent of (PVAc+THF) or (PVAc+DMF) is less than in corresponding pure solvent of THF or DMF. On the contrary, if using PVAc and MEK to form polymer solvent, the intrinsic viscosity of PVC in polymer solvent of (PVAc+MEK) is larger than in pure solvent of MEK. The influence of solvent upon the polymer-polymer interactions also comes from the interaction parameter term Δb, developed from modified Krigbaum and Wall theory. If PVC/PVAc blends with the weight ratio of 1/1 was dissolved in THF or DMF, Δb<0. On the contrary, if PVC/PVAc blends with the same weight ratio was dissolved in MEK, Δb>0. These experimental results show that the compatibility of PVC/PVAc blends is greatly associated with the solvent from which polymer mixtures were cast. The agreement of these results with differential scanning calorimetry measurements of PVC/PVAc blends casting from different solvents is good.  相似文献

A series of dinuclear complexes, [Tp(R)M--M'L(n)] [Tp(iPr(2) )M--Co(CO)(4) (1; M=Ni, Co, Fe, Mn); Tp(#)M--Co(CO)(4) (1'; M=Ni, Co); Tp(#)Ni--RuCp(CO)(2) (3')] (Tp(iPr(2) )=hydrotris(3,5-diisopropylpyrazolyl)borato; Tp(#) (Tp(Me(2),4-Br))=hydrotris(3,5-dimethyl-4-bromopyrazolyl)borato), has been prepared by treatment of the cationic complexes [Tp(iPr(2) )M(NCMe)(3)]PF(6) or the halo complexes [Tp(#)M--X] with the appropriate metalates. Spectroscopic and crystallographic characterization of 1-3' reveals that the tetrahedral, high-spin Tp(R)M fragment and the coordinatively saturated carbonyl-metal fragment (M'L(n)) are connected only by a metal-metal interaction and, thus, the dinuclear complexes belong to a unique class of xenophilic complexes. The metal-metal interaction in the xenophilic complexes is polarized, as revealed by their nu(CO) vibrations and structural features, which fall between those of reference complexes: covalently bonded species [R--M'L(n)] and ionic species [M'L(n)](-). Unrestricted DFT calculations for the model complexes [Tp(H(2) )Ni--Co(CO)(4)], [Tp(H(2) )Ni--Co(CO)(3)(PH(3))], and [Tp(H(2) )Ni--RuCp(CO)(2)] prove that the two metal centers are held together not by covalent interactions, but by electrostatic attractions. In other words, the obtained xenophilic complexes can be regarded as carbonylmetalates, in which the cationic counterpart interacts with the metal center rather than the oxygen atom of the carbonyl ligand. The xenophilic complexes show divergent reactivity dependent on the properties of donor molecules. Hard (N and O donors) and soft donors (P and C donors) attack the Tp(R)M part and the ML(n) moiety, respectively. The selectivity has been interpreted in terms of the hard-soft theory, and the reactions of the high-spin species 1-3' with singlet donor molecules should involve a spin-crossover process.  相似文献

The effect of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane (TCE) on the IR spectra of HCl complexes withN,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (N-MP) with strong quasisymmetric hydrogen bonds was studied using Multiple Attenuated Total Reflection (MATR) IR spectroscopy. The addition of TCE does not change the background absorption spectra, but results in a change in the extinction coefficients of some bands of these complexes. The analysis of the spectra shows that the HCl−DMF complexes interact only with one molecule of TCE, and the HCl−N-MP complexes interact with two molecules of TCE. It is shown that the neutral component of the system (TCE) has no effect on the parameters of the strong quasi-symmetric H-bond in the complexes studied. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Polyvinylchloride has been chemically modified with sodium benzene thiolate at different temperatures, in solvents promoting the formation of polymer gels, in solvents favoring light polymer interactions and in the absence of solvent, that is, in the melt. From the13C-NMR results it is shown that the substitution reactions on PVC, in all media and temperatures studied, are stereospecific and the nature of substituted chlorines the same.The glass transition temperature of modified polymers has been studied by differential scanning calorimetry. The glass transition temperature of the modified polymers in the absence of solvent decreases linearly with degree of substitution. When the reaction is carried out in solvents containing carbonyl groups, such as diethyl malonate, cyclohexanone and 2-butanone, the evolution of the glass transition up to about 25% substitution does not follow the above behavior. At higher levels of substitution the evolution ofT g is similar to that in the melt. For the ether-containing solvents, such as tetrahydrofurane and dioxane, the evolution lies between the two previous curves.When the reactions of PVC with sodium benzene thiolate are carried out in cyclohexanone at different temperatures, between 15–90°C, the evolution of the glass transition temperature with conversion is different for each temperature, and if the reaction temperature increases, the slope of the initial part moves to that in the absence of solvent.These results are related to the formation of PVC gels or interactions. As the nature and percentage of substituted chlorine for a given chemical composition are the same in all the solvents and conditions studied, we propose that Cl-atoms of isotactic and/or heterotactic configurations are implied in the formation of PVC gels or interactions.  相似文献

High level ab initio and density functional theory calculations have been carried out to investigate the relative stability of the different conformers of hyponitrous acid and its mono- and dithio-derivatives. Geometries and vibrational frequencies were obtained at the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level and final energies through B3LYP/6-311++G(3df,2pd) single point calculations. The reliability of this theoretical scheme has been assessed by comparing these DFT results with those obtained at the G3 level of theory, for some suitable cases. The cis conformers of hyponitrous acid and its mono- and dithio-derivatives are systematically more stable than the trans ones because in the cis conformation a dative interaction between the nitrogen-lone pairs and the σNX^* antibonding orbital is significantly favored. Quite interestingly, in general, the conformers presenting an intramolecular hydrogen bond (IHB) are not the global minima of the corresponding potential energy surfaces and only for hyponitrous acid the conformer with a OH ⋅s O IHB is slightly more stable than the cis conformer without IHB. The low stability of the tautomers with IHB is closely related with another weak intramolecular interaction which involves the lone-pairs of the chalcogen atoms and the πNN* antibondig orbital, and which is significantly perturbed when the IHB is formed.  相似文献

Stronger interactions among units within a chain leads to highly anisotropic magnetic properties. The magnetic effects are a manifestation of exchange interaction,J and can be studied through detailedepr techniques in conjunction with magnetic susceptibility and x-ray crystal structure. In this paper we report a temperature study of Brillouin scattering and optical Kerr effect in the ethane-1,2-diol dimethacrylate, pentane-1,5-diol dimethacrylate and hexane-1,6-diol dimethacrylate belonging to the series of dimethacrylate homologues. Using these methods we have studied the temperature behaviour of the hypersonic velocity, adiabatic compressibility and optical Kerr constant in the temperature range from 283 to 323 K.

The obtained results are compared to those obtained earlier from Brillouin scattering and optical Kerr effect experiments for butane-1,4-diol dimethacrylate and 2,2′-thiodiethyl dimethacrylate (a sulfur-containing monomer). The results are also discussed in terms of changes in the intermolecular interactions and arrangement in the liquid compounds under study.  相似文献

These effects are discussed on the basis of the super-molecular approach. In this contribution we propose a simple model of adsorption of a binary (racemic) mixture on a chiraly templated surface. As an example, the adsorption of a liquid mixture of enantiomers on a chiral stationary phase (CSP) is considered. In particular, we study the effect of the lateral interactions in the adsorbed phase on the kinetic and equilibrium isotherms of the enantiomers. Additionally, we investigate the influence of the composition of the surface on the performance of the CSP in the presence of the lateral interactions. To that end, the adsorption of the mixture is modeled by using Monte Carlo simulations as well as by applying an analytical approach involving rate equations coupled with the Mean Field Approximation (MFA). The predictions of the theory are found to be in good agreement with the results of the simulations.  相似文献

Regio- and stereoselectivities in cycloadditions of nitrones to dipolarophiles bearing an allylic oxygen, which furnishes substituted-isoxazolidine analogs of the furanose ring of nucleosides, have been investigated. Although the obtained regioselectivities are anticipated, a rationalization of the preferred formation of endo-cycloadducts necessitates the involvement of an allylic oxygen in secondary interaction. The obtained isoxazolidines display cytotoxic activities against a number of human cancer cell lines.  相似文献
