Equatorial Plane Circular Orbits in the Taub-NUT Spacetime

Accelerated circular orbits in the equatorial plane of the Taub-NUT spacetime are analyzed to investigate the effects of its gravitomagnetic monopole source. The effect of a small gravitomagnetic monopole on these orbits is compared to the corresponding orbits pushed slightly off the equatorial plane in the absence of the monopole.     

Self-assembled highly ordered ethane-bridged periodic mesoporous organosilica and its application in HPLC

Monodisperse spherical periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMOs) with ethane integrated in the framework were synthesized and their application as stationary phase for chromatographic separation is demonstrated. The ethane-PMOs were prepared by condensation of 1,2-bis(triethoxysilyl)ethane (BTSE) in basic condition using octadecyltrimethylammonium chloride (C(18)TMACl) as template and ethanol as co-solvent. The morphology and mesoporous structure of ethane-PMOs were controlled under different concentrations of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and EtOH. The results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen sorption measurement, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and elemental analysis showed that ethane-PMOs have spherical morphology, uniform particle distribution, highly ordered pore structure, high surface area and narrow pore-size distribution. The column packed with these materials exhibits good permeability, high chemical stability and good selectivity of mixtures of aromatic hydrocarbons in normal phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

以流量为扰动参数,对连续搅拌釜式反应器（ＣＳＴＲ）中的Ｂｅｌｏｕｓｏｖ－Ｚｈａｂｏｔｉｎｄｓｋｙ（ＢＺ）反应体系小振荡进行周期或噪声扰动,改变扰动周期或扰动强度,在某些条件下可以诱导非平衡相变。以ＢＺ反应的四变量Ｍｏｎｔａｎａｔｏｒ模型为基础,对相应流率区进行周期或噪声扰动,计算结果与实验基本定性一致。     

周期扰动位相对化学振荡的调制效应

由Rossler反应系统的理论模型出发,构造一种具有外部周期扰动的新动力学系统,并采用逆算符法和数值分析法研究该系统的振荡态在周期扰动调制下的动力学行为.结果表明,在周期扰动的调制下,系统的状态由单周期振荡态(1p)变为周期2(2p)、周期4(4p)等多周期振荡态以及混沌态.扰动位相是系统呈现上述多种演化模式的控制参数,在扰动位相不同的数值区间,系统呈现的演化模式不同,而且扰动位相数值的微小改变,还影响每种演化模式的内部结构.     

Naming elements after scientists: an account of a controversy

Over the last two hundred years, there have been many occasions where the name of a newly-discovered element has provoked controversy and dissent but in modern times, the naming of elements after scientists has proved to be particularly contentious. Here we recount the threads of this story, predominantly through discourses in the popular scientific journals, the first major discussion on naming an element after a scientist (Moseley); the first definitive naming after a scientist (Curie); and the first naming after a living scientist (Seaborg).     

Zn3(C6H14N2)3[B6P12O39(OH)12] · (C6H14N2)[HPO4]: A Chiral Borophosphate – Triethylenediammonium Hydrogenphosphate Composite

A novel borophosphate, Zn₃(C₆H₁₄N₂)₃[B₆P₁₂O₃₉(OH)₁₂] · (C₆H₁₄N₂)[HPO₄] has been synthesised under mild hydrothermal conditions at T = 165 °C. The chiral crystal structure was determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction data (trigonal, R3 (no. 146), Z = 3, a = 2089.55(4) pm, c = 1237.03(4) pm, V = 4677.5(2) · 10⁶ pm³, R₁ = 0.066, wR₂ = 0.164 for 5100 observed reflections). The title compound can be considered as an ordered composite of the two different and neutral structures which fit into each other: An open framework of composition Zn₃(C₆H₁₄N₂)₃[B₆P₁₂O₃₉(OH)₁₂] and columns of composition (C₆H₁₄N₂)[HPO₄]. The framework structure is formed by mixed octahedral‐tetrahedral secondary building units, in a three‐dimensional arrangement reflecting a hierarchical derivative of the NbO structure type. The underlying NbO topology is illustrated with the help of Periodic Nodal Surfaces. The composite nature of the compound is resolved in the spatial segregation of two frameworks with a separating surface.     

Surface dilational moduli of polymer and blended polymer monolayers spread at air-water interfaces

Surface dilational moduli of polymer monolayers, blended polymer monolayers, and polymer particle monolayers spread at air–water interfaces are reviewed, focusing on measurements using surface pressure isotherm, surface pressure relaxation, and oscillating barrier methods. Differences between the surface dilational moduli of condensed polymer monolayers and expanded polymer monolayers are explored. Moreover, the features of the surface dilational moduli in blended polymer monolayers are discussed in terms of their miscibility.     

8,10-二炔廿五碳酸LB膜的周期结构

Equivalent conditions on periodic feedback stabilization for linear periodic evolution equations

This paper studies the periodic feedback stabilization for a class of linear T  -periodic evolution equations. Several equivalent conditions on the linear periodic feedback stabilization are obtained. These conditions are related to the following subjects: the attainable subspace of the controlled evolution equation under consideration; the unstable subspace (of the evolution equation with the null control) provided by the Kato projection; the Poincaré map associated with the evolution equation with the null control; and two unique continuation properties for the dual equations on different time horizons [0,T]$[0,T]$ and [0,_n0T]$[0,n_{0}T]$ (where _n0$n_0$ is the sum of algebraic multiplicities of distinct unstable eigenvalues of the Poincaré map). It is also proved that a T-periodic controlled evolution equation is linear T-periodic feedback stabilizable if and only if it is linear T-periodic feedback stabilizable with respect to a finite-dimensional subspace. Some applications to heat equations with time-periodic potentials are presented.     

Socle equivalences of weighted surface algebras

We describe the structure and properties of the finite-dimensional symmetric algebras over an algebraically closed field K which are socle equivalent to the general weighted surface algebras of triangulated surfaces, investigated in [11]. In particular, we prove that all these algebras are tame periodic algebras of period 4. The main results of this paper form an essential step towards a classification of all symmetric tame periodic algebras of period 4.
