Synthesis of 2-(imidazolylamino)benzothiazoles

Treatment of derivatives of 5-phenylthioureido-3H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid with bromine afforded 2-(imidazolylamino)benzothiazoles.

研究了甲烷在La_2O_3/MgO催化剂上的氧化偶联。发现制备过等对催化剂的行为有显著影响。比较了催化剂的反应性能和体相结构,表明在MgO上存在着三种La_2O_3的状态:高分散La_2O_3是最活泼的;La(OH)_3不太活泼;而呈六方晶相的La_2O_3晶粒活性最低。在催化剂中加入Na_2CO_3和K_2CO_3可以改进催化剂的活性和选择性。还考察了反应条件如温度和空速的影响。     

Towards EPC-syntheses of the structural class of cochleamycins and macquarimicins. Part 3: EPC-syntheses of the β-keto lactone subunits and first attempts towards the syntheses of the pentacyclic antibiotics of this group

Practical EPC-syntheses of δ-substituted-β-keto δ-lactones, subunits of the cochleamycins and macquarimicins, are presented. In consequence Tietze's tandem reaction is employed to combine δ-allyl-β-keto δ-lactone with a hydrindene derivative, the second subunit of these acetogenic antibiotics. Model reactions for the final oxidative radical tandem cyclization reveal that the electrophilic radical cyclizes exclusively in exo-trig fashion. However, with the intended precursor of macquarimicin C allylic hydrogen abstraction thwarted the oxidative radical tandem cyclization.     

Photochemistry of nonconjugated bichromophoric systems III. Synthesis and photoreaction of poly(ethylene glycol) biscoumarinyloxyacetates

A series of poly(ethylene glycol) biscoumarinyloxyacetatea have been synthesized and their intramolecular photochemical cyclodimerizations have been studied. It was found that only syn-HT configuration products were obtained when these bisesters were directly irradiated in chloroform, and the yields of the products decreased with the increase of the chain length. This photocyclization reaction is a convenient and effective method to synthesize macrocyclic compounds.     

The interactions of (=O→Si)-(benzoyloxymethyl)trifluoro-and -(benzoyloxymethyl) methyldifluorosilanes with a solvent

The IR spectra of solutions of (=OSi)-(benzoyloxymethyl)trifluorosilane (1),-(benzoyloxymethyl)methyldifluorosilane (2), and butyl benzoate (3) are examined in the region of thev(C=O) stretching vibrations in 24 solvents. The ability of compounds1—3 to undergo specific intermolecular interactions is evaluated from the dependence ofv(C=O) on the Kamlet-Taft (^*,, ) parameters, which was obtained for the carbonyl groups involved in the intramolecular coordinate (=OSi) bond and for free carbonyl groups. The corresponding values of the coefficients in the Kamlet-Taft equations are indicative of a weak ability of pentacoordinate silicon compounds1 and2 to undergo acid-base interactions.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Intramolecular Diels—Alder reaction of 4-(N-furfuryl)aminobut-1-enes. New approach to the synthesis of 6,8a-epoxyoctahydroisoquinoline (3-aza-11-oxatricyclo[6.2.1.01,6]undec-9-ene) derivatives

The intramolecular Diels—Alder reaction of readily accessible 4-substituted 4-(N-furfuryl)aminobut-1-enes was studied and a new one-step method was developed for the synthesis of 6,8a-epoxy-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,8a-octahydroisoquinoline (3-aza-11-oxatricyclo[6.2.1.0^1,6]undec-9-ene) derivatives. The [4+2]-cycloaddition proceeds stereoselectively to form exo-adducts. The influence of substituents at the nitrogen atom in 4-(N-furfuryl)aminobut-1-enes on the cycloaddition pathway was examined.

From anisole to 1,2,4,5‐tetramethoxybenzene: Theoretical study of the factors that determine the conformation of methoxy groups on a benzene ring

Unhindered ortho‐dimethoxy‐substituted phenyl rings often display a coplanar conformation. A theoretical study of a series of methoxybenzenes consisting of methoxybenzene (anisole), the three dimethoxybenzenes, and 1,2,4,5‐tetramethoxybenzene, at the DFT/B3LYP/6‐311++G** level of theory, allows us to identify the factors influencing the conformational preference and attribute the coplanarity of such methoxy groups to mesomeric effects. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Synthesis and characterization of oligo-4-[(pyridin-3-ylimino)methyl]phenol

The oxidative polycondensation of 4-[(pyridin-3-ylimino)methyl]phenol (4-PIMP) with O₂, H₂O₂, and NaOCl was studied in an aqueous alkaline medium between 50°C and 90°C. Oligo-4-[(pyridin-3-ylimino)methyl]phenol (O-4-PIMP) prepared was characterized by ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, FT-IR, UV-VIS, size-exclusion chromatography, and elemental and thermal analyses techniques. At the optimum reaction conditions, the yield of O-4-PIMP was 18.9%, 39.4%, and 46.8% using H₂O₂, O₂, and NaOCl oxidant, respectively. According to the TG analysis, the initial degradation temperature of O-4-PIMP was 218°C, which was by 50°C higher than that of 4-PIMP. Thermal analyses of 4-PIMP and O-4-PIMP were carried out in N₂ atmosphere at 15–1000°C. The highest occupied molecular orbital, the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital, and electrochemical energy gaps of 4-PIMP and O-4-PIMP were determined from the onset potentials for n-doping and p-doping, respectively. Also, optical band gaps of 4-PIMP and O-4-PIMP were determined according to UV-VIS measurements.     

Synthesis of 3-Aryl[1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>][1,3]benzothiazole-6,7-dicarbonitriles from 5-Aryl-4H-triazole-2-thiols and 5-Bromo-5-nitrophthalonitrile

New 3-aryl-substituted [1,2,4]triazolo][3,4-b][1,3]benzothiazole-6,7-dicarbonitriles have been synthesized by successive interaction of 5-aryl-4H-triazole-2-thiols with 4-bromo-5-nitrophthalonitrile in the presence of K₂CO₃ initially at the bromine atoms and then at the nitro group.__________Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, 270–272, February, 2005.
