We present the results of a study of charged-pion production in 12C + 12C collisions at incident beam energies of 1A GeV and 2A GeV using the HADES spectrometer at GSI. The main emphasis of the
HADES program is on the dielectron signal from the early phase of the collision. Here, however, we discuss the data with respect
to the emission of charged hadrons, specifically the production of mesons, which are related to neutral pions representing a dominant contribution to the dielectron yield. We have performed
the first large-angular-range measurement of the distribution of mesons for the 12C + 12C collision system covering a fairly large rapidity interval. The pion yields, transverse-mass and angular distributions are
compared with calculations done within a transport model, as well as with existing data from other experiments. The anisotropy

In the last years the ion component of a laser-produced plasma has been considered and studied as an object to provide high-density
ion sources, which can be applied in many fields such as laser-induced implantation. In this work a KrF laser beam of 108 W/cm2 irradiance was focused onto single-crystalline Fe and single-crystalline Fe with 2% of Si targets and the characteristics
of both free expanding laser-produced plasmas were compared. The time-of-flight (TOF) method was applied to determine the
ion charge yield at various laser fluences and the ion angular spread. The analyses of TOF spectra showed a synergetic effect
of the silicon admixture in target material on the Fe ions production. Besides, this admixture was also responsible of the
increasing of the plasma temperature which corresponds in turn to the increasing of the average kinetic energy of the particles

Resolving fluid transport at engine surfaces is required to predict transient heat loss, which is becoming increasingly important for the development of high-efficiency internal combustion engines (ICE). The limited number of available investigations have focused on non-reacting flows near engine surfaces, while this work focuses on the near-wall flow-field dynamics in response to a propagating flame front. Flow-field and flame distributions were measured simultaneously at kHz repetition rates using particle tracking velocimetry (PTV) and planar laser induced fluorescence (PLIF) of sulfur dioxide (SO2). Measurements were performed near the piston surface of an optically accessible engine operating at 800?rpm with homogeneous, stoichiometric isooctane-air mixtures. High-speed measurements reveal a strong interdependency between near-wall flow and flame development which also influences subsequent combustion. A conditional analysis is performed to analyze flame/flow dynamics at the piston surface for cycles with ‘weak’ and ‘strong’ flow velocities parallel to the surface. Faster flame propagation associated with higher velocities before ignition demonstrates a stronger flow acceleration ahead of the flame. Flow acceleration associated with an advancing flame front is a transient feature that strongly influences boundary layer development. The distance from the wall to 75% maximum velocity (δ75) is analyzed to compare boundary layer development between fired and motored datasets. Decreases in δ75 are strongly related to flow acceleration produced by an approaching flame front. Measurements reveal strong deviations of the boundary layer flow between fired and motored datasets, emphasizing the need to consider transient flow behavior when modeling boundary layer physics for reacting flows. 相似文献

The evolution of primary soot particles is studied experimentally and numerically along the centreline of a co-flow laminar diffusion flame. Soot samples from a flame fueled with C2H4 are taken thermophoretically at different heights above the burner (HAB), their size and nano-structure are analysed through TEM. The experimental results suggest that after inception, the nascent soot particles coagulate and coalesce to form larger primary particles (?~?5 to 15 nm). As these primary particles travel along the centreline, they grow mainly due coagulation and condensation and a layer of amorphous hydrocarbons (revealed by HRTEM) forms on their surface. This amorphous layer appears to promote the aggregation of primary particles to form fractal structures. Fast carbonisation of the amorphous layer leads to a graphitic-like shell around the particles. Further graphitization compacts the primary particles, resulting in a decrease of their size. Towards the flame tip the primary particles decrease in size due to rapid oxidation. A detailed population balance model is used to investigate the mechanisms that are important for prediction of primary particle size distributions. Suggestions are made regarding future model development efforts. Simulation results indicate that the primary particle size distributions are very sensitive to the parameterization of the coalescence and particle rounding processes. In contrast, the average primary particle size is less sensitive to these parameters. This demonstrates that achieving good predictions for the average primary particle size does not necessarily mean that the distribution has been accurately predicted. 相似文献

Infrared search and track technology for small target plays an important role in infrared warning and guidance. In view of the tacking randomness and uncertainty caused by background clutter and noise interference, a robust tracking method for infrared small target based on sample constrained particle filtering and sparse representation is proposed in this paper. Firstly, to distinguish the normal region and interference region in target sub-blocks, we introduce a binary support vector, and combine it with the target sparse representation model, after which a particle filtering observation model based on sparse reconstruction error differences between sample targets is developed. Secondly, we utilize saliency extraction to obtain the high frequency area in infrared image, and make it as a priori knowledge of the transition probability model to limit the particle filtering sampling process. Lastly, the tracking result is brought about via target state estimation and the Bayesian posteriori probability calculation. Theoretical analyses and experimental results show that our method can enhance the state estimation ability of stochastic particles, improve the sparse representation adaptabilities for infrared small targets, and optimize the tracking accuracy for infrared small moving targets. 相似文献

The behavior of particles impacting the surface of a charged droplet involves adhesion, rebound, and submersion. In the present study, a numerical model for simulating particle impacts on charged droplets is presented that takes into account the various impact modes. With the droplet considered as a solid boundary, the criterion for rebounding is that the particle’s impact angle is <85°. The simulated trajectories of the particles are verified by comparing with experimental data for low-velocity particles to assess the reliability of the model. For impact angles >85°, particles undergo three distinct modes depending on normal impact velocities. The critical velocity of adhesion/rebound and rebound/submersion is used to identify the mode that the particles are undergoing. The criteria are also verified by comparing with analytical data. The results show that the impact angle of particles increases with increasing Coulomb number and decreases dramatically with increasing Stokes number, both of which lead to a high probability for particle rebound. 相似文献

偏振弹性散射光谱技术的基本原理为在偏振光入射条件下,根据出射光的偏振特性不同可以筛选出浅表层组织的单次散射光信息和深层组织的漫散射光信息。该研究的创新点在于将这种方法应用于颗粒溶液检测,目的是在颗粒溶液原始状态下实现对颗粒尺寸及浓度的同时检测。设计了一个共轴笼式光学系统,测量了聚苯乙烯微球颗粒溶液某一角度的背向散射信号,通过控制入射端和收集端偏振片的偏振方向获得了颗粒溶液的偏振平行光谱与偏振垂直光谱,两者之差即偏振差分光谱对应颗粒的单次散射信息,将该单次散射信息与Mie散射数据库进行比对获得颗粒的尺寸,然后在颗粒尺寸作为已知的条件下进一步分析偏振垂直光谱,将该垂直光谱对应的颗粒溶液的漫散射信息代入光漫散射下的近似表达式拟合得到颗粒的浓度信息。将实验结果与样品提供值进行了比对,并进一步分析了在获取颗粒数浓度时,颗粒直径的方差分布对结果的影响,最终验证了该实验方法的可行性。该方法的潜在应用包括对标准颗粒制造厂商的产品在线检测以及对牛奶制品中脂肪和蛋白质的浓度检测研究。 相似文献

Blockage is an important phenomenon in particulate flow. Work was undertaken to provide a better understanding of key hydrodynamic multiphase flow factors which cause, or contribute to, stalling and blockage in particulate feeding systems such as those used for feeding biomass into reactors. Rubber and plastic particles were hydraulically conveyed along a horizontal rectangular duct leading to constrictions of different geometries. Experimental results showed that large size, irregular shape, high volumetric concentrations of particles, small constriction dimensions and particle compressibility all increased the likelihood of blockage. Reynolds number also had a significant effect on particle behaviour and blockage propensity. The pressure drop needed to break a blockage is also considered, based on a simple horizontal packed bed model. 相似文献
