A straightforward preparation of amino–polystyrene resin from Merrifield resin

Azidomethyl–polystyrene, obtained by nucleophilic substitution of chloromethyl–polystyrene, undergoes a Schmidt rearrangement when treated with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, affording amino–polystyrene. To assess its loading and reactivity the resin is used as a support for the preparation of triazene-linked amine.     

1,6-二氢-S-四嗪催化重排及其反应的研究--Ⅱ. 与氯甲酸三氯甲酯反应

在4－二甲胺基吡啶的存在下，1，6－二氢－S－四嗪重排成3，6－二氢－S－四嗪，与双光气反应后再与不同的胺反应，合成了11种1，4－二取代产物，产物经元素分析、IR和^1H NMR确证。用UV和^1H NMR分析结果对反应机理进行了初步探讨。     

Pyrene-azacrown ether hybrid: cation-π interaction

A pyrene-modified lariat ether was synthesized in order to observe the cation-π interaction in solution.     

一种新型的芳基重排反应（Ⅱ）──苯并环己酮中β－芳基的重排

报道了３－芳基四氢合萘－１－酮的烯醇硅醚在氧化碘苯－三氟化硼的协同作用下３－位芳基迁移到２－位，生成２－芳基－３－氟四氢合萘－１－酮的反应。当芳基是Ｐｈ－ｐ－Ｃｌ－Ｐｈ、ｐ－Ｍｅ－Ｐｈ和ｐ－ＭｅＯ－Ｐｈ时，收率分别为８０％、６１％、１０％和５％，并讨论了这一反应的机理。     

Twofold Brook rearrangement-mediated tandem reactions of δ-silyl-γ,δ-epoxy-α,β-unsaturated acylsilanes with a cyanide ion

Reaction of δ-silyl-γ,δ-epoxy-α,β-unsaturated acylsilanes with KCN in the presence of chloro or cyanoformates gives highly functionalized dienol silyl ether derivatives via a twofold Brook rearrangement-induced tandem sequence.     

The rearrangement of some cyclopentanone-aryloximes: synthesis of (±)-aplysin, (±)-filiformin and of their debromo analogues.

Upon acid catalyzed rearrangement after Sheradsky, the aryloximes A gave the tricyclic aminals C, which suffered hydrolysis to lactols E. The unique alcohol 29 was then prepared through a highly stereoselective equilibration-reductive alkylation of the epimeric mixture of lactols 22a,b. Two routes, one of which was stereospecific, allowed cyclization of 29 to (±)-aplysin 34. The yield was 2.5 % from oximes 2a,b. The isomeric epi-aplysin 35 and filiformin 36 were also obtained from 29. The debromo analogues 37,38 and 39 and their trideutero derivatives 41,42 and 43 were synthesized along similar line and allowed unequivocal structure elucidation by NMR spectroscopy.     

Unexpected valence bond isomerization of [1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-c][1,2,4]benzotriazines under flash vacuum pyrolytic (fvp) conditions

Flash vacuum pyrolysis (fvp) of some substituted [1,2,4]triazolo[3,4-c][1,2,4]benzotriazine derivatives (1a-d) has been studied between 450 and 600 °C. The only transformation observed up to 525 °C was the unexpected valence bond isomerization of the angularly fused starting compounds to the isomeric linearly fused [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b][1,2,4]benzotriazine derivatives (9a-d), whereas at higher temperatures fragmentation products such as aromatic nitriles were also formed. Kinetic measurements revealed negative entropies of activation in the isomerization process, which suggest a concerted ring closure reaction to an intermediate antiaromatic diazirine. Reversibiblity of the title isomerization reaction was also proved by FVP experiments.     

Synthesis of thieno[3.2-<Emphasis Type="Italic">b</Emphasis>]pyrrolenine derivatives under the Fischer reaction conditions

The reaction of alkyl 4-(2-acetylhydrazino)-2-methyl-3-thiophenecarboxylates with 3-methylbutan-2-one was carried out under the Fischer reaction conditions. The influence of Lewis acids and solvents on the process was studied. A convenient method for the synthesis of thieno [3.2-b]pyrrolenine derivatives was proposed.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Construction of vicinal quaternary carbon atoms by Ireland ester Claisen rearrangement: total synthesis of (±)-herbertenolide, (±)-herberteneacetal, (±)-herbertene-1,14-diol and (±)-herbertene-1,15-diol

Efficient total syntheses of the herbertane sesquiterpene title compounds have been accomplished employing an Ireland ester Claisen rearrangement and ring-closing metathesis reaction sequence based strategy for the construction of two stereogenic vicinal quaternary carbon atoms on a cyclopentane.     

α-Trifluoroacetyl-δ-valerolactone: synthesis, acyl-lactone rearrangement and unexpected easy decarboxylation of the rearranged product

Claisen condensation of δ-valerolactone and ethyl trifluoroacetate leads to α-trifluoroacetyl-δ-valerolactone, existing completely in CDCl₃ solution as an enol. Upon treatment of this cyclic 1,3-ketoester with aqueous HCl, an acyl-lactone rearrangement takes place. The structure of the resulting pyran was confirmed by an X-ray analysis. The ability of the rearrangement product to lose its carboxylic group under unexpected mild conditions was used for the synthesis of the corresponding 3-unsubstituted cyclic hemi-ketal.
