Crystal orientation of poly(ethylene 2, 6-naphthalate) (PEN) ultrathin films was investigated by the combination of reflection-absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIR) and grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GIXD) techniques. It is concluded that the main-chain of PEN molecule in ultrathin film is prone to alignment parallel to the substrate when compared with thicker films. During the formation of α form crystalline, the naphthalene ring, the CO group in molecular chain of PEN as well as the b axis in crystalline tend to take orientation more parallel to the substrate due to the surface-induced effect. A fluorescence signal amplification mechanism allowing detection limits for DNA in the zeptomolar range was investigated. Photophysical properties of the molecular system were studied in order to better explain the signal amplification that is observed. We show that the confinement of a fluorescent DNA hybridization transducer in aggregates improves its quantum yield and photostability. Furthermore, we show that the combination of the resonance energy transfer occurring within the aggregates with the use of a conjugated polymer as the hybridization transducer and donor allows ultrafast and efficient energy coupling to the aggregates and can lead to the excitation of a large number of acceptors by only one donor. 相似文献

Some physical properties of crystals differ in direction n because crystal lattices are often anisotropic. A polycrystal is an aggregate of numerous tiny crystallites. Unless the polycrystal is an isotropic aggregate of crystallites, the physical properties of the polycrystal vary with n. The direction-dependent functions (DDF) for crystals and polycrystals are introduced to describe the variations of the physical properties in direction n. Until now there are few papers dealing systematically with relations between the DDF and the crystalline orientation distribution. Herein we give general expressions of the DDF for crystals and polycrystals. We discuss the applications of the DDF in describing the physical properties of crystals and polycrystals. 相似文献

The Larson-Doi (LD) polydomain model is used to simulate orientation development along the centerline of slit-expansion and
slit-contraction flows of liquid crystalline polymers (LCPs). Orientation is computed using the LD structural evolution equations,
subject to an imposed velocity field that accounts for the spatial variation of both shear and extension rates characteristic
of this class of flows. Computed axial distributions of orientation averaged through the sample thickness are qualitatively
similar to birefringence and X-ray scattering measurements of molecular orientation in similar flows of lyotropic and thermotropic
LCPs. In slit-expansion flows, the simulations predict a 90∘ flip in orientation direction near the midplane due to transverse stretching in the expansion region. Far away from the midplane
where shear gradients dominate, orientation remains primarily along the flow direction. Within the LD model, tumbling and
flow aligning materials respond in a qualitatively similar manner to mixed shear and extension, although tumbling materials
are systematically more susceptible to the effects of extension.

采用激光拉曼光谱研究了PAN基碳纤维在石墨化(2 000~3 000 ℃)过程中的结构变化;比较了石墨化前后纤维表面和断面拉曼光谱特征。结果表明:高温石墨化后,碳纤维的一级拉曼光谱有3个峰(D,G和D′),表征碳纤维结构有序程度的拉曼参数主要有D和G峰的半高宽(FWHM)、G峰的拉曼位移和D与G峰的积分强度比R(ID/IG)。随着热处理温度的提高,D和G峰的半高宽、G峰的拉曼位移和R值均逐渐减小,即使经过3 000 ℃高温处理后,D峰仍然存在,R值为0.19,说明纤维中仍存在无序结构。另外,R值与纤维中石墨微晶的基面宽度La成反比,石墨化后纤维取向性的增加使得表面和断面的拉曼光谱有明显的差异。因此,可利用激光拉曼光谱来定量表征碳纤维的石墨化程度和取向。 相似文献

This study concerns the thermal and mechanical response of several commercial grades of ethylene – tetrafluoroethylene copolymer films. Differential scanning calorimetry was used to show that, although films have similar degrees of crystallinity and melting temperature, the melting endotherms and crystallisation exotherms differ between materials, suggesting small changes in composition between manufacturers. Films were deformed in tension at a range of temperatures and rates. Selected films were unloaded immediately after stretching, and measurement of the elastic recovery highlighted further differences between materials. Batches of films were pre-drawn uniaxially above the glass transition and immediately quenched. When these materials were subsequently re-drawn below the glass transition temperature, most of them exhibited much improved yield stress, modulus and tensile strength (improving by factors of 5, 5 and 4, respectively at a draw ratio of 3), but a reduced strain to failure. In most of the films, the pre-drawing, as well as the initial orientation of the films, is accounted for by a simple shift in the true strain axis. This is indicative of a material response dominated by entropic network stretch. It also suggests that, in the cases where strain superposition does not work, a different arrangement of crystalline lamellae may be present, limiting the extent to which improved properties can be achieved in some materials. 相似文献
