The integrodifferential equation method is used to study the spectrum of a nanoparticle colloid for the example of interaction of three arbitrarily arranged dielectric particles made up of nonresonant atoms (the eigenfrequency of the transition is far from the emission frequency) with incorporated barium atoms in an external optical radiation field. The effect on the light-scattering properties of a nanosphere in the ensemble of its distant “neighbors” is studied; an additional peak associated with them is observed as a frequency close to the resonance for an isolated nanosphere, which under certain conditions has higher intensity than the main peak corresponding to optical near-field resonance in a two-particle system. The dependence of the spectrum of the nanosized system on the geometric structure is studied, and it is shown that very precise tuning of the resonance frequency is possible by varying the angular distribution of the particles. __________ Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 73, No. 5, pp. 641–646, September–October, 2006.  相似文献

We have studied the ratio of the intensities of radiation scattered by a layer of blood in a cuvet and by the cuvet walls for normal incidence or incidence at the Brewster angle for probing radiation from a He-Ne laser, linearly polarized in the plane of incidence (plane of observation) or orthogonal to that plane. We have compared it with the intensity of the radiation reflected by the surface of the cuvet wall, as estimated based on the geometric approximation. We have found the optimal conditions for probing and observing scattering for the layer in a cuvet, where such conditions are characterized by a minimal effect from the cuvet walls and the maximum ratio of useful signal to background. A novel mode-filtered light gas sensor has been reported.It was constructed by inserting an optical fiber deposited by a thin silicone cladding of cryptophane A into a fused-silica capillary.When different concentration of methane gas was introduced to the sensor,the phenomenon that mode-filtered light intensity decreased with the increasing concentration of methane was observed. The characteristics and applicability of the absorption spectroscopy system using the coherent transition radiation light source have been investigated. The configurations of the system are relatively simple. The operational conditions of an electron linear accelerator have been evaluated. The stability of the light intensity has been within ±2–3% in a wavenumber range of 4–13 cm−1. The light intensity has been found to be more than six orders of magnitude higher than that for the lowest limit for detection.  相似文献

The time-resolved ion-induced voltages obtained from multiphoton ionization (MPI) in gases were applied, for the first time, together with time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence (TR-LIF) for fast detection of organic compounds in ambient air. The target compounds were polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and nitroaromatics. The concepts of the proposed method are presented and examined. It is shown that the MPI signals allow for estimation of the molecular weight, while the fluorescence data supply additional quantitative and qualitative information. A 3D data presentation is suggested for obtaining selectivity. The proposed dimensions are the MPI-based mass estimation, the maximum LIF wavelength and the measured fluorescence lifetime. Since all required data are acquired simultaneously and since the setup can be continuously operated, this analytical concept is suggested for on-line applications. The common air components are not ionized at the selected wavelengths and only the organic pollutants are detected under these conditions. Moreover, it is shown that the resonant MPI mode provides a certain level of selectivity. Therefore, this setup may become the basis of an air sniffer.  相似文献
