With an attempt to fabricate large-area OLED lighting panels, we investigate slot-die coating of a small molecule (SM) hole transport layer (HTL). It is observed that SM HTL films formed by spin coating exhibit pinhole-like surface, whereas the films by slot-die coating show micro-sized hillocks due to agglomeration. As the plate temperature of the slot coater is increased, smaller hillocks appear more densely. To tackle it, a small amount of a polymer HTL is added into the SM HTL (Hybrid HTL). By the aid of entangled polymer chains, small molecules are prohibited from migrating and thus agglomerations disappear. The peak-to-peak roughness of the slot-coated hybrid HTL films is measured to be about 11.5 nm, which is slightly higher than that (~7 nm) of the polymer HTL film, but much lower than that (~1071 nm) of the SM HTL film. Similar results are also observed in spin-coated films. It is also addressed that OLED with the hybrid HTL shows higher luminous efficacy, compared to OLED with the SM HTL or the polymer HTL. We have further demonstrated that the dissolution problem occurring between two stacked layers with different solvents during slot-die coating can be suppressed to a great extent using such a combination of materials in hybrid structure.  相似文献

This study was carried out to design phenothiazine based dyes by incorporating electron-deficient thiadiazole derivatives as π-spacer. Density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory calculations of the geometries, electronic structures and absorption spectra of the dyes before and after binding to titanium oxide were carried out. Effects of the electron-deficient units on the spectra and electrochemical properties have been investigated. Compared with the reference compound CS1A, Dyes 1–4 display remarkably enhanced spectral responses in the red portion of the solar spectrum. The newly designed dyes demonstrate desirable energetic and spectroscopic parameters, and may lead to efficient metal-free organic dye sensitizers for DSSCs.  相似文献

Organic ultraviolet photodetectors (OUV-PDs) were fabricated utilizing 2-TNATA as an electron donor with Bphen and TPBi as electron acceptors. A high sensitivity of OUV-PDs to UV light was obtained in the range of 300–420 nm. The optimized OUV-PDs composed of Bphen as the acceptor offered a photocurrent density up to 336 µA/cm2 at ?8 V with 365 nm UV light at a power of 1.2 mW/cm2. The high response is attributed to the excellent electron transport ability of Bphen and the matched energy level between 2-TNATA and Bphen.  相似文献

The advancement of organic electronics has been continually pushed by the need for stable and high performance acceptor materials. By utilizing inexpensive and stable indigo dye as a starting material, Bay‐Annulated Indigo (BAI) provides a new motif for the development of semiconducting materials. Modular and straightforward synthesis makes BAI an outstanding platform for molecular design, while excellent stability, strong absorption, and high ambipolar mobility render BAI‐based materials excellent candidates for organic electronics. BAI‐based polymers and small molecules have taken advantage of these properties to show promising results in a variety of applications.  相似文献

This study presents the synthesis, characterization, and electrochemical properties of four new dialkoxymethanofullerenes, as well as their performance in organic solar cells (OSCs) devices. Dialkoxymethanofullerenes were synthesized in 27%–32% yield by thermolysis of dialkoxyoxadiazolines and reaction with C60 under reflux in toluene. The prepared compounds were then characterized and used for the first time as electron-acceptor materials in thin-film bulk heterojunction OSCs with PBTZT-stat-BDTT-8 as the electron donor material. The devices made with ethoxy-hexyloxymethanofullerene and methoxy-hexyloxymethanofullerene exhibited optimal power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of 3.79% and 4.65%, with open-circuit voltage of 0.832 and 0.831 V, respectively. In contrast, the devices made with ethoxy-ethoxymethanofullerene and methoxy-ethoxymethanofullerene exhibited very low PCEs of <0.01% for both, indicating a large impact of the substituents on device performance.  相似文献

This Trends article highlights the recent advances published between 2012 and 2015 in solid-state 17O NMR for organic and biological molecules. New developments in the following areas are described: (1) new oxygen-containing functional groups, (2) metal organic frameworks, (3) pharmaceuticals, (4) probing molecular motion in organic solids, (5) dynamic nuclear polarization, and (6) paramagnetic coordination compounds. A low-operating voltage and high performance polymeric field effect transistors using octadecylphosphonic acid-treated high-k AlOx and HfO2 hybrid dielectrics were demonstrated. High-k metal oxide hybrid dielectrics were prepared by oxygen plasma treatment of deposited Al film for AlOx and by spin coating of solution-processable HfO2 sol-gel solution for HfO2 in combination with phosphoric acid-based self-assembled monolayer (SAM), resulting in high capacitance (10 nF/cm2 for SiO2, 600 nF/cm2 for AlOx and 580 nF/cm2 for HfO2). With phosphoric acid-based SAM on high-k metal oxide and thermal annealing of thieno[3,2-b]thiophene-based conducting polymer, the device performance was significantly enhanced. The highest mobility of the transistors using ODPA-treated AlOx as a gate dielectric is 2.3 × 10?2 cm2 V?1 s?1 in the saturation region with the source-drain of ?2 V. In ODPA-treated HfO2 hybrid dielectric, the saturated mobility is 1.1 × 10?2 cm2 V?1 s?1 and the threshold voltage was measured to be ?0.31 V, which is at least one order lower than SiO2 hybrid dielectric (?3 V).  相似文献

We report on the fabrication of efficient annealing-free organic solar cells using co-solvent solution considered as a promising method for low-cost and time-saving manufacturing. Higher device efficiency could be obtained compared to the pure solvent casted device, resulting from the improved crystallinity, optical absorption and transport properties. The power conversion efficiency of 2.8% was obtained, demonstrating the feasibility of achieving low-cost and high-efficiency organic solar cells without any additional treatment and processing additives.  相似文献
