EPR spectroscopic investigations on single crystals of diaquabis[malonato(1-)-κ2O,O′] zinc(II) doped with VO(II) ion have been carried out at X-band frequencies and at 300 K. The single crystal, rotated along the three mutually orthogonally axes, has yielded spin-Hamiltonian parameters g and A as: gxx=1.980, gyy=1.972, gzz=1.937 and Axx=8.4, Ayy=6.1, Azz=18.1 mT, respectively. These spin-Hamiltonian parameters reflect a slight deviation from axial symmetry to rhombic, which is elucidated by the interstitial occupation of vanadyl ions. The isofrequency plots and powder EPR spectrum have been simulated. The percentage of metal-oxygen bond has been estimated. The optical absorption spectrum exhibits four bands at 257, 592, 720 and 764 nm suggesting a C4v symmetry. The admixture coefficients and bonding parameters have also been calculated by collaborating EPR data with optical data. 相似文献

A novel technique for collimation testing with a circular Dammann grating is proposed. When the beam under test is incident on a one-order circular Dammann grating with limited aperture, double-humped radial rings will be generated at the back focal plane of a focusing lens. If the beam is collimated, the separation between the two rings will reach its minimal, otherwise the two rings will be apart from each other. Therefore, the degree of collimation of the tested beam can be estimated from the separation. The principle and experimental results of the method are presented. Owing to the simplicity and low cost of the method, it is a promising method for quickly checking the collimation of a laser beam. 相似文献

Lead containing calcium zinc sodium fluoroborate (LCZSFB) glasses doped with different concentrations of trivalent dysprosium ions were prepared and investigated by the XRD, FTIR, optical absorption, photoluminescence and decay curve analysis. The experimentally determined oscillator strengths have been determined by measuring the areas under the absorption peaks and the Judd–Ofelt (J–O) intensity parameters were calculated using the least squares fit method. From the evaluated J–O parameters the radiative transition probability rates, radiative lifetimes and branching ratios were calculated for 4F9/2 excited level. Room temperature photoluminescence spectra for different concentrations of Dy3+-doped LCZSFB glasses were obtained by exciting the glass samples at 386 nm. The intensity of Dy3+ emission spectra increases with increasing concentration of 0.1, 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 mol% and beyond 1.0 mol% the concentration quenching is observed. The measuring branching ratios are reasonably high for transitions 4F9/2→6H15/2 and 6H13/2, suggesting that the emission at 484 and 576 nm, respectively, can give rise to lasing action in the visible region. From the visible emission spectra, yellow–blue (Y/B) intensity ratios and chromaticity color coordinates were also estimated. The lifetimes of 4F9/2 metastable state for the samples with different concentrations were also measured and discussed. 相似文献

Within the framework of the effective-mass approximation, the exciton states and interband optical transitions in InxGa1−xN/GaN strained quantum dot (QD) nanowire heterostructures are investigated using a variational method, in which the important built-in electric field (BEF) effects, dielectric-constant mismatch and three-dimensional confinement of the electron and hole in InxGa1−xN QDs are considered. We find that the strong BEF gives rise to an obvious reduction of the effective band gap of QDs and leads to a remarkable electron-hole spatial separation. The BEF, QD height and radius, and dielectric mismatch effects have a significant influence on exciton binding energy, electron interband optical transitions, and the exciton oscillator strength. 相似文献

Anisotropic (elliptically polarized) photoinduced second harmonic generation (PISHG) in SiNxOy/Si1 1 1 films was proposed for contact-less monitoring of specimens with different nitrogen to oxygen (N/O) ratios. As a source for the photoinducing light, we used a nitrogen Q-switched pulse laser at wavelengths of 315, 337 and 354 nm as well as doubled frequency YAG–Nd laser wavelength (λ=530 nm). The YAG : Nd pulse laser (λ=1.06 μm; W=30 MW; τ=10–50 ps) was used to measure the PISHG. All measurements were done in a reflected light regime. We found that the output PISHG signal was sensitive to the N/O ratio and the film thickness. Measurements of the PISHG versus pumping wavelengths, powers, incident angles as well as independent measurements of the DC-electric field induced second harmonic generation indicate the major role played in this process by axially symmetric photoexcited electron–phonon states. The SiNxOy films were synthesized using a technique of chemical evaporation at low pressures. Films with thickness varying between 10 and 30 nm and with an N/O ratio between 0 and 1 were obtained. Electrostatic potential distribution at the Si1 1 1–SiNxOy interfaces was calculated. Comparison of the experimentally obtained and quantum chemically calculated PISHG data are presented. High sensitivity of anisotropic PISHG to the N/O ratio and film thickness is revealed. The role of the electron–phonon interactions in the dependencies observed is discussed. We have shown that the PISHG method has higher sensitivity than the traditional extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopic and linear optical method for films with the N/O ratio higher than 0.50. 相似文献

A new imaging method using an incoherent-type pupil filter: SFINCS (Spatial Filter for INCoherent Stream) is presented. The new filter divides the imaging beam into several incoherent beams at the pupil plane thereby enlarging the depth-of-focus (DOF). The capabilities of SFINCS are studied by simulations and several ways to realize the method are also discussed. The experimental results show that SFINCS has excellent DOF expanding capabilities for a point-image such as a hole pattern in VLSI lithography, and that 1.7 μm DOF is obtained with a 0.30 μm hole pattern by an i-line projection lens with 0.57 NA (numerical aperture).Presented at the International Commission for Optics Topical Meeting, Kyoto, 1994. 相似文献
