Isotone relations revisited

We propose a new approach towards proving that the fixed point property for ordered sets is preserved by products. This approach uses a characterization of fixed points in products via isotone relations. First explorations of classes of isotone relations are presented. These first explorations give us hope that this approach could lead to advances on the Product Problem.     

Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis transitions of partially and fully substituted cellulose fatty esters

The main transitions of cellulose fatty esters with different degrees of substitution (DSs) were investigated with dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. Two distinct main relaxations were observed in partially substituted cellulose esters (PSCEs). They were attributed to the glass‐transition temperature and to the chain local motion of the aliphatic substituents. The temperatures of both transitions decreased when DS or the number of carbon atoms (n) of the acyl substituent increased. Conversely, all the transitions of fully substituted cellulose esters occurred within a narrow temperature range, and they did not vary significantly with n. This phenomenon was explained by the formation of a crystalline phase of the fatty substituents. The presence of few residual OH groups in PSCEs was responsible for a large increase in the storage bending modulus, and it eliminated the effect of n on damping. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Optical and electric properties of Nb-doped anatase TiO2 single crystal

Nb-doped anatase TiO₂ single crystal has been grown by chemical vapour transport method. Raman spectra shows that the obtained crystal with Nb of 0.08 wt% has typical anatase structure. An absorption band was observed at around 2.2 eV, which seems to be due to the d-d transition in the conduction band. The electron paramagnetic resonance and electric resistivity measurements show that the doped niobium makes quite shallow donor level whose orbital is d_xy-like centered at the titanium position of anatase.     

Low noise double pass L-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier

A new double pass long wavelength band erbium-doped fiber amplifier with enhanced noise figure characteristics is demonstrated. The noise figure is improved by about 2.6 dB with the incorporation of broadband conventional-band fiber Bragg grating (FBG) in between the two segments of erbium-doped fiber. By incorporating both the pre-amplifier and the FBG, the noise figure is further improved, which varies from 4.0 to 5.0 dB in the flat gain region from 1570 to 1600 nm. The gain varies from 32.0 to 33.4 dB within this region. The new amplifier with high gain and low noise figure can be useful as an inline amplifier in a wavelength division multiplexing transmission system.     

Bi12TiO20纳米粉体的制备及其光吸收特性研究

以钛酸四丁酯和硝酸铋为原料 ,利用化学溶液分解法制备了Bi12 TiO2 0 纳米多晶粉体 .采用XRD和TEM对其结构和形貌进行了表征 .结合热重 差热 (TG DTA)分析 ,探讨了Bi12 TiO2 0 晶相的形成机理 .通过UV Vis漫反射谱的测定 ,研究了Bi12 TiO2 0 纳米晶粉体的光吸收特性 .结果显示 ,从组成为化学计量比的前驱液中可以很容易制得纯Bi12 TiO2 0 纳米晶粉体 ,该Bi12 TiO2 0 纳米晶粉体呈现了在很宽的波长范围内 (5 6 0～ 385nm )对光的吸收的特性 .     

Structural optimization design for large mirror

The system design must be started from the concept with low cost and high performance. In this point, the topological shape of the structure is very important in the view of the structural rigidities and light-weight design.In this paper, the optimization methodology is presented in the design stage of the large optical mirror. We obtain the optimal layout through the topology optimization and then design the details through the size or shape optimization for structural rigidity.     

关于非齐次m阶马氏信源的渐近均分割性

本文研究非齐次m阶马氏信源的渐近均分割性，首先我们得到关于此种信源m 1元函数的一类强极限定理，作为推论，得到关于任意非齐次m阶马氏信源状态和熵密度的几个极限定理，最后得到一类非齐次m阶马氏信源的渐近均分割性。     

四溴双酚A锑铝双金属化合物的合成及其阻燃性能

以四溴双酚Ａ（ＴＢＡ）合成了在水和空气中稳定的四溴双酚Ａ合锑铝双金属化合物（ＴＢＡＳＡ）．通过ＩＲ、１ＨＮＭＲ和元素分析予以表征，并研究了其对聚乙烯（ＰＥ）和聚环氧乙烷（ＰＥＯ）的阻燃性能．结果表明，这种分子中含有溴、锑和铝的化合物，对聚乙烯和聚环氧乙烷等高聚物材料有高的阻燃性能与消烟效果．     

Linear calibration procedure for the phase-to-height relationship in phase measurement profilometry

Calibration of the relationship between height and phase is of uttermost importance to perform accurate 3D measurements in phase measurement profilometry. This work reports a different approach to this problem by first looking at the analytical expression for this relationship and determining the regime spanned by the fringe analysis method. The conclusions thus ascertained, amply justify confronting the analytical expression with a simple normalization procedure of the experimental data, with a remarkable matching between both results. In light of this, a linear calibration procedure with just one plane is proposed and verified experimentally.     

Banach-Saks property in Marcinkiewicz spaces

We catalogue all Marcinkiewicz function and sequence spaces with the Banach-Saks property and present necessary and sufficient conditions for a wide subclass of spaces to possess the p-Banach-Saks property, 1<p<∞. We apply our results to several open problems.
