Bimetallic complexes with porphyrins containing a cyclometalated phenylpyridine group

Treatment of Ni(HP¹) (H₃P¹ = meso-5-[4′-(2″-pyridyl)phenyl]-10,15,20-triphenyporphyrin) with K₂[PdCl₄] in EtOH afforded [Pd{Ni(P¹)}]₂(μ-Cl)₂ that reacted with NaS₂CNEt₂ to give Pd(S₂CNEt₂)[Ni(P¹)]. Reaction of Ni(HP¹) with [Ir(H)₂(PPh₃)₂(Me₂CO)₂][BF₄] afforded Ir(H)Cl(PPh₃)₂[Ni(P¹)]. The crystal structures of Pd(S₂CNEt₂)[Ni(P¹)] and Ir(H)(Cl)(PPh₃)₂[Ni(P¹)] have been determined.     

Applicability of the H NMR chemical shifts computed by the ab initio/GIAO-HF methodology to the study of geometrical features of Zn-porphyrin dimers

Several porphyrin dimers have been newly designed and synthesized to construct assemblies with 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as a bidentate binding ligand. Semi empirical (AM1) and ab initio calculations have been used to study the assemblies generated by the organization of dimers and DABCO, including the computation of ¹H NMR complexation-induced chemical shifts using the ab initio/GIAO methodology. The diagnostic capacity of the theoretical method has been applied to explain experimental results and geometrical features of the complexes.     

Chemical analysis for small amounts of horseradish peroxidase using “porphyrinogen” as a chromogenic reagent

The properties of porphyrinogen as a new chromogenic reagent were examined. 5,10,15,20-Tetrahydro-tetraphenylporphyrinogen (TPPN) is changed to 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphine (TPP) by the oxidative reaction involving six electrons, and its formation of the porphine ring significantly increased the absorbance in the Soret band.The horseradish peroxidase (HRP) accelerated the oxidative reaction as a catalyst and the increment of absorbance depended upon the increase in the concentration of HRP. The reaction proceeded in the presence of dissolved oxygen and in the neighborhood of pH 7. Based on these findings, a chemical analysis by catalytic action using HRP was developed.In the procedure for this determination, the difference in absorbance at 419 nm (ΔA₄₁₉=A_s−A_b, where A_s and A_b are the absorbances of the sample solution containing HRP and the blank solution without HRP after 30 min, respectively), was measured. The determination range of HRP, which was obtained from the ΔA₄₁₉—HRP concentration curve, was 0.05-1.0 mg/l. The relative standard deviation in the median of the calibration curve was 3.19% (seven determinations), and the detection limit (S/N=3) was 29 ng/l. Furthermore, when the proposed method was applied to the enzyme immunoassay, bisphenol A (BPA) was selectively and sensitivity determined.     

Synthesis and Characterization of Push-Pull Porphyrins

A series of “push-pull” porphyrins with 4-nitrophenyl and 4-aminophenyl substituents were synthesized and separated by flash column chromatographic techniques. They were fully characterized by elemental analysis, FAB-MS, FTIR, UV-visible, and ¹H NMR spectroscopies. The unsymmetrical π-electron distribution of the porphyrins caused by the donor (amino) and acceptor (nitro) substituents were investigated by ¹H NMR technique. The pyrrole-H resonance positions can be correlated to the Hammett σ constants of the substituents. Although with strong donor and acceptor substituents, UV-visible spectra show the push-pull porphyrins have rather weak solvatochromism and hence limited intramolecular charge-transfer character.     

Molecular structure of simple mono- and diphenyl meso-substituted porphyrin diacids: influence of protonation and substitution on the distorsion

The crystal and molecular structures of three simple porphyrin diacids have been determined from X-ray diffraction data to delineate how the peripheral substituents of the porphyrin affect the overall molecular flexibility. Di-meso-substituted [DPPH₄]²⁺(CF₃CO₂⁻)₂ and, mono-meso-substituted [MPPH₄]²⁺(CF₃CO₂⁻)₂ and [dedmMPPH₄]²⁺(CF₃CO₂⁻)₂ porphyrin diacids show increasingly saddled core conformation. Some of the spectroscopic properties (NMR and UV-visible) of the porphyrin diacids are also discussed in terms of the observed structures.     

四苯基卟啉氧合配合物的室温固相合成、表征及氧合性能

采用固相反应合成了四苯基卟啉与Fe2 、Co2 的配合物.在室温下,将其与分子O2作用,提纯后得到两种固态氧合配合物.通过元素分析、红外光谱、核磁共振氢谱、电导、热分析(TG/DTA)、紫外光谱等测试手段确定了氧合配合物的组成为[Co·TPP·O2](NO3):·2H2O、[Fe·TPP·O2]Cl2·2H2O,可知1mol配合物吸收了1mol O2.采用失重法测定了氧合配合物中的配位氧,确定1mol金属配合物吸收1mol O2形成超氧配合物.     

基于FT-ICR质谱仪的光解离光谱自动化谱图采集程序的开发与应用

光解离光谱在气相离子结构及动力学研究中发挥着重要的作用。这种方法非常灵活,可在实验室中利用不同种类的激光器及质谱仪的结合来开展相应的研究。但也存在一些问题,例如,自动化水平低,费时,长时间的操作容易引入人为错误,使实验结果的可信度降低。为解决此类问题,该工作开发了一套可用于光谱自动采集和分析的程序AutoMS。该程序包含:(1)AutoSpecMS用于在无需改变原仪器配套的商业化操作软件的前提下,实现多台商业激光器及一台商业高分辨FT-ICR质谱仪的集成,只需要预设参数即可自动获取action光谱;(2)AutoDataMS用于实验数据的分析,可以通过一维、二维或三维图示的方法来展示光解离质谱和光谱等。为验证改程序的可行性,针对tetraphenylpyrrin(四苯基卟啉,TPP), tetra(4-carboxypyryl)porphyrin(四对羧基苯基卟啉,TCPP)以及tetra(4-aminophenyl)porphyrin(四对氨基苯基卟啉,TCPP)三种卟啉衍生物分别开展了相应的实验。使用光解离光谱自动采集程序采集了TPP, TCPP和TAPP在210～700 nm波段...     

Synthesis and photophysical evaluations of β-fused uracil-porphyrin derivatives

New β-fused uracil-porphyrin conjugates were synthesized by the tetramerization of uracil-pyrroles under acidic conditions. Two different synthetic approaches were systematically studied in order to evaluate their efficiency, as well as the possibility to obtain a single regioisomer. Metallation effects were studied for aggregation in solution, and preliminary photophysical experiments were also performed in order to evaluate the potential of these new compounds.     

Optical Gas Sensor Fabrication Based on Porphyrin-Anchored Electrostatic Self-Assembly onto Tapered Optical Fibers

Tapered optical fibers with nano-assembled coatings of thicknesses of order tens of nanometres were used for the detection of ammonia gas. The film coating was composed of alternate layers of tetrakis-(4-sulfophenyl) porphine (TSPP) and poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH), which were deposited using the electrostatic self-assembly process (ESA). Exposure of a PAH/TSPP nano-assembled non-adiabatic tapered optical fiber with a waist diameter of 10 µm to ammonia induced significant optical changes in the transmission spectrum of the optical fiber. The fiber optic sensor showed a linear sensitivity to the concentration of ammonia in the range of 10–100 ppm, with response and recovery times less than 100 and 240 sec, respectively. The 3σ limit of detection (LOD) was estimated to be ca. 2 ppm.     

Synthesis of Highly Functionalized Fluorinated Porphyrins

Highly functionalized fluorinated porphyrins were synthesized by a convergent strategy. Nucleophilic substitution using fluorinated branched unit and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)porphyrin afforded highly functionalized fluorinated porphyrin 8 containing 24 fluorinated chains in the peripheral region.
