The potential of quadrupole-based ICP–MS as a tool for B-isotopic analysis of wines and its usefulness in provenance determinations were assessed. A precision of 0.1–0.25% RSD (corresponding to a relative standard deviation of the mean of three replicate measurements of 0.06–0.12%) was sufficient to establish small differences in the B isotope ratios in wines from different geographical origins. Each sample measurement was bracketed by measurements of a standard and mass bias drift correction made by interpolation. Sample preparation was kept to a minimum to avoid possible fractionation. Dilution of the wine samples by a factor of 100 with 0.65% HNO3 was found to reduce matrix-induced mass discrimination substantially. Wines from three wine-producing regions, Stellenbosch, Robertson, and Swartland, in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, and wines from specific regions in France (Bergerac) and Italy (Valpolicella) were analyzed by ICP–QMS for their B-isotopic compositions. It was concluded that the 11B/10B ratios can be used to characterize wines from different geographical origins. Average 11B/10B ratios in red wines from South Africa (Stellenbosch), France (Bergerac), and Italy (Valpolicella) were found to differ by between 0.5 and 1.5%.  相似文献

Bulk polymerization of alkyl N,N-dialkylfumaramates (FAE) and maleamates (MAE) was performed in the presence of a radical initiator. It has been found that FAE is more reactive than MAE when the reactivity of the two geometrical isomers was compared for their homo- and copolymerizations. From investigation on the effect of ester and N-substituents of these monomers, it has been found that the isopropyl ester shows a higher reactivity than the methyl ester and that N-ethyl and n-butyl substitution gives polymers with high molecular weight of more than several thousands. The resulting substituted polymethylenes from FAE and MAE were characterized and compared with each other. The isomerization of MAE to FAE with morpholine as an isomerization catalyst and monomer-isomerization radical polymerization were also investigated.  相似文献

The viscosity of PEG-modified urethane acrylate (PMUA) showed peculiar behavior in the course of soap-free emulsification. Moreover, the viscosity change with added amounts of water was influenced by the reaction molar ratio of polyethylene glycol (PEG). The rate of increase in viscosity slowed and the ratio of increase in viscosity increased as the reaction molar ratio of PEG increased. This peculiar viscosity behavior was due to the microphase separation between hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments of PMUA, and the orientation of polyoxyethylene groups at O/W interface which influenced droplet size of the soap-free PMUA emulsion. The location of polyoxyethylene groups of this resin at O/W interface was confirmed using the adsorption isotherm measurement of PMUA molecules containing polyoxyethylene groups at water/benzene interface. The microphase separation behavior of PMUA between hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments could apply to the preparation of the PMUA gels containing peculiar structure. PMUA gels were prepared using dioxane (UAG) and the swelling behavior of these gels were compared to that of gels prepared using water (UAHG) in the same medium. In the same medium, the swelling behavior of UAHG gels differed from that of UAG gels because of the difference in the microstructure of gel due to the microphase separation between hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments. This phase separation in the course of gelation in water could be confirmed using contact angle measurement.  相似文献

In this study a series of a segmented copolyester, poly(4,4′-dioxy-2,2′-dimethyl-azoxybenzene dodecanedioyl) (PMABD)-co-polyoxypropylene 400 (POP), was prepared. The chain length of PMABD studied (n) was varied from 7.8-18.2, and that of POP was unchanged. The intrinsic viscosity of the segmented copolyesters was 1.04-1.30, and the number average molecular weight obtained was 2.53 × 104?3.49 × 104 g/mol. The mesophase texture and thermal properties of the segmented copolyesters were measured as functions of n. It was found that the insert of flexible POP between those liquid crystalline domains of PMABD did affect thermotropic properties of PMABD. As the n value was 9.0 and 7.8 (or 7.4 and 8.6% by weight POP) the texture appeared as cholesteric-like oily streaks. The effect could not be attained by simply copolymerizing a mesogenic moiety with a pair of spacers of different lengths. The fluidity and domain structure of the flexible dodecanedioyl-POP-dodcanedioyl segments are taken into account for the obtained results. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The reactions of β-naphthol with 5-diazoimidazoles and imidazolyl-5-diazonium salts containing chemically different carboxamide groups in position 4 were studied. Heterocyclization of 4-arylcarbamoyl-5-(2-hydroxynaphthylazo)imidazoles formed in these reactions was investigated. The presence of the NH fragment in the amide group prevents this process, the reaction giving instead 3-substituted 3,7-dihydroimidazo[4,5-d][1,2,3]triazin-4-ones, which is due to reversibility of C-azo coupling. Methods for modification of 1-ethoxycarbonyl group in the naphtho[2,1-e]imidazo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazine system were developed and used to prepare substituted carboxamides inaccessible by other routes. The copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) in dimethylformamide (DMF) was retarded by the presence of itaconic acid (IA) comonomer. Addition of TEA helped overcome the retardation at enhanced concentrations of IA in the feed. The monomer reactivity ratios determined by both terminal and penultimate models revealed that the overall monomer reactivity’s are practically unaffected by the presence of TEA. The penultimate-unit effect for radicals terminated in AN was enhanced by the presence of TEA. Higher TEA concentrations helped regain the reactivities of AN and IA to AN-radical to the state in pure DMF. The penultimate model could explain the feed-copolymer composition profile for the whole range. Whereas IA systematically retarded the polymerization rate at all concentration regime in DMF, it increased the rate at higher IA concentration in DMF/TEA system. For a given IA concentration, the polymerization rate decreased as the solvent is enriched in TEA. The copolymers synthesized in the presence of TEA, manifested higher cyclization temperature and consequently lower char residue, attributed to the incorporation of TEA in the polymer by means of salt formation with IA moiety camouflaging the catalytic effect of the -COOH group in cyclization reaction. 13C-NMR studies confirmed the incorporation of the TEA molecules in the polymer chain.  相似文献
