STUDIES OF MULTICOMPONENT COMPLEX OXIDE CATALYSTS FOR OXIDATIVE COUPLING OF METHANE VI.SURFACE BASICITY AND SURFACE ACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES OF LiTi_xLa_(1-x)O_2 λ MULTICOMPONENT OXIDE CATALYSTS

The surface basicity of Ti-La-Li multicoinponent oxides has been investigated by means of CO2-TPD. The experiment results show that C2 (C2H6 C2H4) selectivity is related to surface basic strength. The surface active oxygen species have also been characterized by means of XPS, O2-TPD and so on. It has been indicated that C2 selectivity and CH4 conversion are correlated with lattice oxygen and the adsorbed oxygen on the surface of the catalyst respectively In the O2-TPD experiments, it has also been found that there are three kinds of oxygen species on the surface of the series catalvsts, which are a (100℃ 750℃) Among them α-oxvgen causes deep oxidation whileβand γ oxygen species are related to oxidalive coupling of methane (OCM).     

K对Mn—Co—O的结构及氧化活性的影响

利用XRD,TPD,TFD-MS及催化氧化反应等实验技术,研究了K对Mn-Co-O的结构及氧化活性的影响。XRD结果表明,Mn-Co-O系已形成反尖晶石型的MnCo_2O_4结构;K-Mn-Co-O系中除MnCo_2O_4型结构外,还有新相KMnO_2存在。根据O_2的TPD-MS及吡啶的TPD结果,Mn-Co-O中添加适量的K能提高供氧活性和增加供氧数目,但酸中心数目减少,强度降低。K对Mn-Co—O催化剂氧化活性的影响随反应物分子结构的不同而异,对乙酸乙脂、苯甲酰氯等极性有机物的完全氧化反应,K能提高氧化活性,但对苯、正己烷等非极性有机物的完全氧化反应,K使其活性降低。     

The Formation of C?C Bonds with the Aid of α-Halogeno Ethers,Sulfides, and Amines

α-Halogeno ethers, sulfides, and amines are reactive compounds which can be used for the formation of new C? C bonds, either as nucleophilic or as electrophilic reagents, or by α-elimination. The use of these compounds in the synthesis of many classes of organic compounds is reviewed.     

新型重整催化剂的研究—Pt／BaKL型沸石中钡的作用

本文采用XRD,NH_3-TPD,IR以及TEM等方法考察了Pt/BaKL沸石中Ba~(2+)的作用。NH_3-TPD结果表明,交换Ba~(2+)后的L型沸石的酸性,由于阳离子的作用仅在弱酸范围内有些改变,但与载铂的沸石的催化活性无明显的对应关系。IR及XRD谱线表明,BaKL沸石中Ba~(2+)在最佳交换度(26.3%)时,随预培烧温度的提高,使Ba~(2+)处于沸石孔道中B、C、D位置,接近于最佳分布,此时IR谱线上1421cm~(-1)处有一新峰。当沸石负载铂后,因铂与Ba~(2+)的相互作用,新峰消失,导致铂粒在沸石上分布更加均匀;铂粒在1.5—3.0nm之间占有最大比例,使得Pt/BaKL沸石呈现芳构化活性及选择性高于Pt/KL沸石,分别为～98%和～95%。

Rhodium-catalyzed addition of arylboron compounds to nitriles, ketones, and imines

The rhodium-catalyzed addition reactions of sodium tetraphenylborate and arylboronic acids to nitriles, ketones, and imines were examined. The reaction of nitriles could be carried out efficiently in the presence of a catalyst system of [RhCl(cod)]₂-dppp and H₂O to give the corresponding monoarylated products selectively. Although unactivated ketones and imines are known to be poor electrophiles for rhodium-catalyzed arylation, the phenylation of them with use of sodium tetraphenylborate proceeded smoothly in the presence of [RhCl(cod)]₂ and Rh(acac)(cod) as catalysts, respectively. The addition of NH₄Cl was found to be crucial to effectively conduct the reaction of ketones and imines.     

A useful procedure for diiodination of carbazoles and subsequent efficient transformation to novel 3,6-bis(triethoxysilyl)carbazoles giving mesoporous materials

Bis(pyridine)iodonium tetrafluoroborate (IPy₂BF₄) was successfully used as a diiodination reagent for carbazole and its derivatives to give 3,6-diiodocarbazoles in excellent yield. Subsequent rhodium-catalyzed disilylation of 3,6-diiodocarbazoles with triethoxysilane gave the corresponding 3,6-bis(triethoxysilyl)carbazoles, which are precursors for sol-gel polymerization, in good yield.     

Preparation of octadecyl modified column gels using heat-treated silicas and their retention behaviour in high-performance liquid chromatography

Summary The effect of silanol groups on three types of octadecylmodified column gels using heat-treated silicas by calcination has been studied by high-performance liquid chromatography. After heat-treating at 180°C, 500°C and 950°C, the silicas treated with octadecyldimethylchlorosilane were used for the measurement of physical and chemical analysis. From elemental carbon analysis data, the reactive silanol group concentrations, _OH(s), were determined to be 2.0 in the 180°C treated silica, 2.1 in the 500°C treated silica and 1.6 in the 950°C treated silica, respectively (original silica: mean pore diameter 116 Å, specific surface area 298 m²/g, pore volume 1.22 ml/g, particle size 5.0 m). The separation factors, , of pyridine versus phenol were measured to be 0.79 on 180°C treated silica, 0.91 on 500°C treated silica and 1.98 on 950°C treated silica, using acetonitrile-water mixtures as the eluent. And then, on the basis of the physico-chemical and chromatographic data, the three types of octadecyl modified column gels using heat-treated silicas by calcination have been compared.     

On a pair of functional equations of combinatorial interest

The equations of the title appear in the author's paper Chromatic Sums for Rooted Planar Triangulations, V: Special Equations. (Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 26 (1974), 893–907). They appear in that paper as Equations (24) and (25). They are simultaneous equations for two unknown functionsl andy ₂ of two variablesy ₁ andz. A parameter is involved. The main result is that for = 2 cos (2/n), wheren is a positive integer >1, the two equations can be reduced to a single equation (numbered (49)). Solutions of this are known forn <7. From such solutions we can expect to get information about the averaged chromatic polynomials of planar triangulations with a given number of triangles.The present work is basically an expository paper on the theory given in Chromatic Sums, V, but it includes some new results and many simplifications.     

Steroid polyols from the Far-Eastern starfish Henricia sanguinolenta

A new polyhydroxylated steroid (20R,24S)-5-cholestane-3,6,15,24-tetraol and a known glycoside, laeviuscoloside G, was isolated from the Far-Eastern starfish Henricia sanguinolenta, collected in the sea of Okhotsk, and characterized.
