We show that for four-dimensional spacetimes with a non-null hypersurface orthogonal Killing vector and for a Chern–Simons (CS) background (non-dynamical) scalar field, which is constant along the Killing vector, the source-free equations of CS modified gravity decouple into their Einstein and Cotton constituents. Thus, the model supports only general relativity solutions. We also show that, when the cosmological constant vanishes and the gradient of the CS scalar field is parallel to the non-null hypersurface orthogonal Killing vector of constant length, CS modified gravity reduces to topologically massive gravity in three dimensions. Meanwhile, with the cosmological constant such a reduction requires an appropriate source term for CS modified gravity.  相似文献

Synthesis and characterization of a series of modified polyacrylamide   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We present the synthesis and the characterization of a new class of modified polyacrylamides (MPAM) with the unusual trait of strong emulsification ability, viscosity enhancement capacity, and significant salt tolerance. Besides, the synthesized polymers have the peculiar aggregation behaviors in aqueous solution. The synthesis was carried out by polymerizing the monomers such as acrylamide (AM), acrylic acid (AA), unsaturated amphiphilic functional moieties, and high steric hindrance functional units. Their aggregation behaviors were investigated by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The emulsion, formed by 10 ml of MPAM (with the polymer concentration of 1,000 mg/L) and the 10 ml of crude oil, was very stable, which indicates that the synthesized polymers have unique emulsification properties. The strong hydrophobic interaction between molecules and the three-dimensional network formed in aqueous solution were exhibited by the experimental results of steady fluorescence and SEM experiments. It could be concluded that the performance of polymers for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) can be remarkably enhanced by introducing functional monomers to polymer backbone, which allows the new class of modified polymers to have more promising application in enhanced oil recovery.  相似文献

A series of modified SBA-15 materials were applied in drug delivery systems. The internal surface of siliceous hexagonal structure of SBA-15 was modified with different amount of (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane (MPTMS) and oxidized in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The sulfonated material was loaded with metoprolol tartrate or papaverine hydrochloride. Both drugs indicated strong chemical interaction with modified mesoporous surface. The characteristic of the obtained materials was performed with XRD and DRUV-vis spectrometry, themogravimetry and nitrogen adsorption (BET) measurements. The obtained results show that modification of the mesoporous materials leads towards significant decrease of the drug delivery rate.  相似文献

A nanocomposite of Pd? TiO2? SiO2 is developed through a sol‐gel process from the reaction products of titanium isopropoxide followed by mixing the same with palladium linked 3‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The reaction product is sonicated and calcinated to obtain the nanocomposite of Pd? TiO2? SiO2. The calcination at 600 °C yielded an amorphous structure whereas at 900 °C it resulted into a nanocrystalline structure. The nanocomposite of palladium was further characterized by TEM, XRD, IR and EDS. The material acts as an efficient electrocatalyst. Electrocatalysis of ascorbic acid is observed at 0.1 V vs. Ag/AgCl, shows linearity between 1 µM and 1 mM in 0.1 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.0).  相似文献

There is a high overvoltage in the oxidation of methanol in fuel cells,and so modified electrodes are used to decrease it.A modified electrode that used Ni(II) loaded analcime zeolite to catalyze the electrooxidation of methanol in alkaline solution was proposed.Analcime zeolite was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis,and Ni(II) ions were incorporated into the analcime structure,which was then mixed with carbon paste to prepare modified electrode.The electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol on the surface of the modified electrode in alkaline solution was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry.The effects of the scan rate of the potential,concentration of methanol,and amount of zeolite were investigated.The rate constant for the catalytic reaction of methanol was 6 × 103 cm3 mol-1 s-1 from measurements using chronoamperometry.The proposed electrode significantly improved the electron transfer rate and decreased the overpotential for methanol oxidation.  相似文献

An ultramicro pH sensor has been constructed based on a thin polyaniline film that was electrochemically deposited onto a carbon fiber nanometer-size electrode. The substrate nanoelectrodes were fabricated using ion-beam conically etched carbon fibers with tip diameters ranging ca. from 100 to 500 nm. The polyaniline film was deposited from HCl solution containing the aniline monomer by cycling the potential between −0.2 and +1.0 V. The electromotive force (emf) signal between the pH sensitive polyaniline-coated nanoelectrode and an Ag/AgCl reference electrode was linear over the pH range of 2.0-12.5 with a slightly super-Nernstian slope of ca. −60 mV/pH unit. Response times ranged from several sec at pHs around 7 up to 2 min at pH 12.5. The proposed pH nanoelectrode displayed high ion selectivity with respect to K+, Na+, Ca2+, and Li+, with log KH,M values around −12 and has a working lifetime of about 20 days. Key parameters important for the pH nanoelectrode performance, including polyaniline film preparation, selectivity, response time, temperature dependence, relative coating thickness, stability, and reproducibility, have been characterized and optimized. The performance of the pH nanoelectrode was examined by measuring the pH of several real samples including body fluids (serum, urine) and low ionic strength water samples (rain, deionized and tap water). The results agreed very well with those obtained by using commercial glass pH electrodes. The proposed pH nanoelectrode demonstrated attractive properties and seems particularly promising for use under physiological conditions.  相似文献

Amylose was etherified with 1-bromopropane in DMSO. The degree of substitution (DS) was varied by altering the feed ratio of 1-bromopropane. The structures of the products were characterized by IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. When the molar feed ratio of 1-bromopropane to hydroxyl groups of amylose was beyond 7.5, the hydroxyl groups were completely substituted with propyl ether groups. The etherified amylose with DS 1.9 showed a glass transition temperature (Tg), and that with DS 2.3 or 3.0 showed both Tg and melting temperature (Tm) (DS 3.0 means complete substitution). The etherification imparted melt processability and solubility in nonpolar organic solvent to amylose.  相似文献
