The scattering field of a ferrite post and a cylindrical ferrite post containing conducting post illuminated by a plane wave is analyzed. The special interest is the scattering property of the ferrite posts, which is resonating at certain modes such as TM11 mode. We hope to know the speciality it shows and find its applications. It is found that the scattering field pattern of a resonating ferrite post is similar to the rotation of the scattering field pattern of a dielectric cylindrical post, which has the same dimension as ferrite. The scattering properties of the ferrite may give us some inspirations to explore its applications in microwave components. This property is utilized to explain the mechanism of the operation of the circulators. It also may be used in microstrip patch antenna, coupler and filter to control their properties. An H-plane waveguide Y-junction circulator with a triangular ferrite post is investigated by a modified analysis of jointly resonance theory and simple field theory. In this work, we introduce polyaniline–nickel ferrite (PANI-NF) nanostructured composite to detect liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at room temperature. The composite synthesized by relatively simple method of in-situ chemical polymerization was structurally characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The presence of characteristic absorption bands of both PANI and NF in the FTIR spectrum of the composite with small shifts confirmed interfacial interaction of PANI with NF. The XRD studies also confirmed interfacial interaction between PANI and NF in the composite and its crystalline nature with an average crystallite size of 20 nm. Highly agglomerated granular porous morphology favourable for LPG adsorption was revealed by SEM image of the composite. The TEM image of the composite clearly showed nanosized NF particles embedded in PANI matrix. The LPG sensing performance of the composite at room temperature was tested using a film prepared by depositing the composite on an ordinary glass substrate by cost-effective spin coating technique. The maximum sensing response of the composite was found to be 57% at 700 ppm of LPG, with a response time of 50 s and a recovery time of 200 s. The composite was found to be stable for a period of one month. The sensing mechanism has been discussed on the basis of formation of interfacial p–n heterojunction barrier. 相似文献

Thin films of lithium ferrite (Li0.5Fe2.5O4) have been deposited on (0 0 1) Al2O3 by pulsed laser deposition, with substrate deposition temperatures ranging between 500 and 800 °C, and oxygen pressures between 1 × 10−1 and 4 × 10−7 mbar. X-ray diffraction shows that films grow with a (1 1 1) orientation. Conversion electron Mössbauer spectra for the high-pressure films show a single sextet with a hyperfine field of 49 T, while the low-pressure films show two sextets with hyperfine fields of 47 and 49 T. The spectra also reveal paramagnetic ferric iron in both types of films. Magnetization measurements of the films show a saturation magnetization of between 1.7 and 3.1μB per formula unit and a coercivity of between 10 and 44 mT. The films prepared under the lower oxygen pressures are semiconducting with resistivities of 2 × 10−2 to 8 × 10−2 Ω cm. They exhibit an anomalous Hall effect with p-type conduction at 175 K. 相似文献

NiFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by the polyacrylamide gel method with acrylamide as the monomer and N,N′-methylenediacrylamide as lattice agent. The average crystallite sizes of the nickel ferrites annealed at 500, 600 and 800 °C are about 10, 30 and 50 nm, respectively. Ferrite-polystyrene composites were made by hot pressing, and microwave-absorbing properties of the composites with different contents of 35, 45, 55 and 65 wt% ferrite were investigated by testing complex permeability and complex permittivity in the X-band (8.2-12.4 GHz) frequency range. All the parameters, ε′, ε″, μ′ and μ″, increase with increasing ferrite content. The reflection losses were calculated based on a model of a single-layered plane wave absorber backed by a perfect conductor. The composite with 65 wt% ferrite content shows a minimum reflection loss of −13 dB at 11.5 GHz with a −10 dB bandwidth over the extended frequency range of 10.3-13 GHz for an absorber thickness of 2 mm. 相似文献

Ultra-fine powders of LiZn ferrites with composition of Li0.4Zn0.2Fe2.4O4 were synthesized by a sol-gel process. X-ray diffraction pattern reflected that the synthesized powders were single spinel structure, with crystallite size of about 35 nm. Then the powders were granulated, pressed and sintered at different temperatures. The sintered samples were investigated by means of characterizing microstructures and magnetic properties by scanning electron microscope and B-H analyzer, respectively. The results indicate that when compared with a traditional ceramic process, the sol-gel process could slightly bring down the sintering temperature of LiZn ferrite whereas the microstructures are not homogeneous in the sintered samples. The sintering mechanisms of LiZn ferrites sintered at 1360 °C were studied, which reveal that during sintering, solid mass transfer is dominant in the LiZn ferrites fabricated by a traditional ceramic process while in the gel-derived ferrites, gas mass transfer is dominant. 相似文献

A series of barium hexaferrite nanoparticles (BaO·nFe2O3) with different n values were prepared by the sol-gel method, using goethite and Ba carbonate as raw materials. Phase identification of the samples was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). XRD investigations show that the samples with n=5 and calcined at temperatures higher than 875 °C are single-phase Ba ferrite. An average crystallite size of 22 nm was obtained for the single-phase sample with minimum calcining temperature of 875 °C, using the Scherrer's formula. The morphology of the samples was checked by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and magnetic properties were measured by a sensitive permeameter. The results show that the samples have nonzero coercivities, which shows the particle size are not less than the critical size of Ba ferrite and then are not superparamagnet. 相似文献

M-type strontium ferrites substituted by La3+-Co2+(Sr1−xLaxFe12−xCoxO19) were prepared by ceramic process. Effects of the substituted amount of La3+ and Co2+ on structure and magnetic properties of Sr1−xLaxFe12−xCoxO19 compounds have systematically been investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and magnetic disaccommodation. In the measurement range from 80 to 500 K, the magnetic disaccommodation is represented by means of isochronal curves. It is well known that magnetic disaccommodation cannot be obviously found in the M-type of pure strontium ferrites. However, three peaks were observed in Sr1−xLaxFe12−xCoxO19, and this behavior is explained in terms of the presence of Fe2+ cation and to the site occupation by the magnetic Co2+ ionic within the hexagonal structure. 相似文献
