Reactions of N-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)-4-arylpyridinium chlorides (aryl (Ar) = phenyl and 4-pyridyl) with piperazines caused the ring opening of the pyridinium ring and yielded polymers that consisted of 5-piperazinium-3-aryl-penta-2,4-dienylideneammonium chloride units [N(CH(R)CH2)2N+(Cl)CHCHC(Ar)CHCH, RH, Me, and phenyl]. However, the same reactions occurring in the presence of piperidine yielded oligomers that consisted of 5-piperazinium-3-aryl-penta-2,4-dienylideneammonium chloride units having piperidine and/or piperazine rings at both ends. 1H NMR spectra suggested that π-electrons of the penta-2,4-dienylideneammonium group of the polymers and the oligomers were delocalized. UV-vis measurements revealed that the π-conjugation system expanded along the polymer and oligomer chains due to the orbital interaction between electrons on the two nitrogen atoms of the piperazinium ring. Conversion of the piperazinium ring from the boat form to the chair form caused decrease in the π-conjugation length. The rate constants of the conversion of the oligomers depended on their chain lengths. The surface of pellets that were molded from the polymers and oligomers exhibited metallic luster. These polymers and oligomers underwent electrochemical oxidation in solution.  相似文献

An investigation was made into the thermal stability and mechanical behavior under nanoindentation of a new glassy alloy with composition Ni50Nb28Zr22, produced in the form of melt-spun ribbons and copper mold-cast wedges. The alloy composition was designed based on the lambda criterion combined with the electronegativity difference among the elements. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy confirmed that the ribbons and wedges (up to 200 μm in thickness) are amorphous. The thermal properties of these samples were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Nanoindentation revealed that the hardness of this alloy, around 10 GPa, is among the highest reported for metallic glasses. Remarkably, the cast wedge exhibits greater hardness and higher elastic modulus than the ribbon. This correlates with the larger amount of frozen-in free volume in the ribbons than in the cast wedges, as evidenced by DSC. In addition, finite element simulations of nanoindentation curves were performed. The Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion allows for better adjustment of the experimental data than the pressure-independent Tresca yield criterion. The simulations also reveal that the cohesive stress in the ribbons is lower than in the wedges, which explains the difference in hardness and Young's modulus between the two samples.  相似文献

A transmission line model for subwavelength metallic grating with single cut is presented. The model is based on analogy between the subwavelength metallic structure and the microwave transmission line theory. The analytical expression for the transmission is derived by the transfer matrix method. To confirm our model, the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method simulations are carried out. The influences of the position of the cuts on the higher modes of slit are presented. It is found that the transmission line model gives analytical prediction about the evolution of the transmission spectra.  相似文献

In this paper we have measured second order nonlinear refractive index of Ag and Au nano-particles using the moiré deflectometry with a CW He-Ne laser at wavelength of 632.8 nm. The main advantages of this technique are its extreme experimental simplicity and low sensitivity to external distribution in comparison with other interfrometric methods that need very stable experimental set-up. Because of self-focusing (or self-defocusing) that is due to intensity dependent refractive index, presence of sample in the moiré deflectometry set-up lead to rotation of moiré fringes. By moving the sample in set-up we have measured these rotation angles in different displacements from focus point of lens used in this set-up and then we have calculated the nonlinear refractive index of Ag and Au nano-particles using their values. Also we have obtained the sign of n2 regard to the direction of rotations. Consequently by using the Mathematica software we have exhibited the suitable fitness of theoretical curve with experimental results.  相似文献

We defined conditions of the laser-aided formation of nanoporous structures with nanopores ranging in size from 40 to 50 nm using laser pulses of 10.6 μm wavelength at a pulse-repetition rate of up to (4-5)×103 Hz for a model metallic material (a two-component alloy “brass of 62%”). It has been established that the exposure to a uniform laser light at depths of up to 25-30 μm results in the formation of nanopores with a relatively uniform distribution across the surface. The resulting pattern contains both solitary pores and ramified porous channels. The nanopores are uniformly distributed within a subgrain, being fairly stable in size and shape. The nanopore size and shape feature larger non-uniformity on the subgrain boundary. The resulting metallic structures show promise for use as catalysts and ultrafiltration membranes.  相似文献

We present an experimentalist's view of the theory and published data for the magnetoresistance (MR) of a multilayer composed of alternating ferromagnetic (F) and non-magnetic (N) metals measured with current flow perpendicular to the layer planes (CPP-MR). We explain the advantages of this geometry for determining the fundamental quantities underlying spin-polarized transport, describe the different techniques developed to measure the CPP-MR, summarize the salient features of the models used to analyze experimental data, and describe tests of those models. We then review what has been learned so far about spin-dependent scattering anisotropy and spin relaxation in F-metals and at F/N interfaces, specific resistances of F/N interfaces, the temperature dependence of spin-polarized transport parameters, and mixing of the spin-polarized electron currents. After a brief overview of some new directions, we conclude with a list of questions still to be answered.  相似文献

Light scattering from objects in the proximity of surfaces is of fundamental importance in a variety of surface- and field-enhanced optical sensing, spectroscopy and microscopy applications. Here, we present surface monitoring techniques based on the spectral analysis of the scattered light by metal nanoparticles which act as sensors (nanosensors) of sample substrates interacting with them. We will focus on the detection of surface inhomogeneities by studying the modifications undergone by the local fields produced in the surrounding of the nanosensor, giving rise to spectral changes in its Plasmon Resonances. We will also describe an alternative technique where the sample information is obtained from the changes induced in the linear polarization degree of the far field scattered by the tip and due to the interaction with the sample.  相似文献

A simple method is proposed for the electrodeposition of multilayers using a modified closed flow injection system. The apparatus incorporates flowing streams of electrolyte through a closed atmosphere flow cell for deposition of multilayers. Computer and software control is used to alternate the flow of electrolyte and control the alternating current or potential of the electrochemical cell. Electrodeposition of metallic multilayers of nickel/iron, iron/copper, cobalt/copper, and nickel/copper were used to test the instrument design. X‐ray diffraction was used to verify the composition and orientation of the films and scanning electron microscopy was used to examine the morphology of the deposited films. Advantages are discussed for using this type of instrumental setup for multilayer fabrication.  相似文献

With the development of nanotechnology, there is a need for methodologies to determine and characterize nanomaterials. Electrophoresis has emerged as a useful tool, which has been employed in various formats (e.g., capillary-zone electrophoresis, gel electrophoresis or isotachophoresis) for the size- or shape-based separation of different types of nanoparticle (NP) (e.g., metallic, semi-metallic or carbon).
