Worldwide concerns over environment have stimulated increasing interest both in academic and industry for deep desulfurization of gasoline. Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composite membrane was used to separate the binary and multicomponent alkane/thiophene mixtures by pervaporation. Effect of carbon number and concentration of alkane, and of feed temperature, on the separation efficiency of alkane/thiophene mixtures was investigated experimentally. Experimental results of binary mixtures indicated that the total fluxes for different alkane/thiophene mixtures decrease with increase of carbon number in the alkanes. Corresponding activation energies of permeation for alkanes in PDMS membrane increase with increase of carbon number in the alkanes. Differences of molecular size and structure of the alkanes lead to various selectivities thereof within PDMS membrane. In addition, the permeability and activation energy of thiophene in various systems differ from each other due to coupling effect which should be taken into consideration when dealing with multicomponent systems. Pervaporation results of ternary systems indicated that, the increase of content of lighter alkane in feed would result in a larger total flux, but a smaller selectivity to thiophene simultaneously. A quaternary system, the mixture of n-heptane, n-octane, n-nonane and thiophene, was employed to simulate the desulfurization process of gasoline. With the membrane having a PDMS layer of 11 μm, the total flux was measured to be about 1.65 kg/m2 h, with the corresponding enrichment factor of thiophene 3.9 at 30 °C. 相似文献

(BET) surface area measurement, respectively. Electrochemical characterization was performed using cyclic voltammetry and
chronopotentiometry in 2 mol/l KOH aqueous solution electrolyte. The results of BET and TEM analysis indicated that supramolecular
template plays an important role in the process of big specific surface area mesoporous material forming. After sintering
at 200 °C, the sample still remained an amorphous structure, and its specific capacitance reached 298.7 F/g and presented

Cerium-doped mesoporous TiO2 nanoparticles with high surface area and thermal stable anatase wall were synthesized via hydrothermal process in a cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)/Ti(SO4)2/Ce(NO3)4/H2O system. The obtained materials were characterized by XRD, FESEM, HRTEM, FTIR spectroscopy, nitrogen adsorption and DRS spectra. Experimental results indicated that the doping of cerium not only increased the surface area of mesoporous TiO2 nanoparticles, but also inhibited the mesopores collapse and the anatase-to-rutile phase transformation. Moreover, the undoped, doped anatase mesoporous nanoparticles exhibit higher photocatalytic activity than commercial photocatalyst (Degussa, P25), but the maximum photodegradation rate corresponds to the undoped mesoporous TiO2 nanoparticles. The lower photocatalytic activities of cerium-doped samples compared with undoped one may be ascribed to that the doped cerium partially blocks titania's surface sites available for the photodegradation and absorption of Rhodamine B (RB). 相似文献

Activated composite membranes (ACMs) containing di-(2-ethylhexyl) dithiophosphoric acid (D2EHDTPA) as a carrier have been found to facilitate the transport and separation of several cations. This paper describes an approach to the chemical characterisation of the transport phenomena of Zn2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Sn2+ and In3+ by an ACM. The selectivity of D2EHDTPA based ACM towards different metal ions is presented and discussed focusing in Zn2+ and Cd2+ transport and recovery. Selectivity demonstrates that zinc ions are removable from mixtures due to the different extraction strength of D2EHDTPA. Such selectivity is based on the differences of the dynamic behaviour of the metal ions transport. In addition, a correlation of the chemical behaviour of those ACM systems with the corresponding solvent extraction systems has been found. 相似文献

Thin film composite (TFC) membranes based polyamide were prepared with m-phenylenediamine (MPD), m-phenylenediamine-5-sulfonic acid (SMPD) and trimesoyl chloride (TMC) through interfacial polymerization technique on the polysulphone supporting film. The membranes were characterized using permeation experiments with salt water, attenuated total reflectance infrared (ATR-IR) and X-ray photoelectronic spectroscopy (XPS) as well as scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). This study has shown that the active layer of TFC membrane is aromatic polyamide, including sulfuric acid function group (-SO3H) according to the result of ATR-IR and XPS. The NaCl rejection of RO membranes decreased and the flux increased when WSMPD/WMPD increased from 0 to 1, and the linear part with pendant -COOH in membrane barrier layer increased with the increase of SMPD content, but the surface of membrane becoming smoother and smoother with the increase of SMPD content. So the membranes performance mainly was determined by chemical structure in their barrier layer. 相似文献

AES depth profiles on ceramic powders (untreated/hydrolyzed/oxidized/ (Al, Y)2O3 coated Si3N4, [BaO, SiO2] coated Al2O3) are feasible on thin, homogeneous layers or m sized agglomerations prepared on an Au foil. By means of the depth profiles one can qualitatively characterize the coating around the particles.
