Using a very simple trial function and unperturbed electron densities calculated by a new procedure, the frequency-dependent dipole polarizability () of Ne, Ar, Kr and Xe has been calculated in the range 0 0.45 a.u., by a Karplus-Kolker-type variation-perturbation method. Results progressively worsen for larger systems so that, for Xe, (0) is only 75% of the experimental value. Probable reasons for this are discussed.  相似文献

The redox coupleb-nor-biladiene-ac (2)/b-nor-bilatriene-abc (3) exhibits an oxidative half wave potential of 800 mV in acetonitrile solution. It is demonstrated that it can be used as an extremely efficient electron carrier through bulk membranes. Whereas2 is not suitable as a ligand in carrier mediated cation transport,3 is a medium suited carrier for Cu(II) or Zn(II) ions, however, it is the most efficient one found so far for transport of Hg(II) ions. A 1:1 zinc chelate of3 is isolated and characterized. it is deduced to represent a polymer consisting of about 73 monomer units.

Electrochemical batch cells with mercury drop electrodes, MDEs, are readily available from a number of producers and widely used in electroanalysis for polarography, voltammetry and stripping voltammetry. To increase sample throughput and reduce reagent and sample consumption, the tendency is to couple the MDE with flow analysis systems (e.g., FIA, SIA or BIA). Many special flow cells for MDEs are described in the literature, but it is easier to convert existing commercial batch cells to flow operation. To assess the performance of such flow adaptors, four models were chosen because they are directly fitted to the glass capillary of any MDE, light enough not to impair the mechanical drop knocker and can be effortlessly built in the laboratory. They were all found adequate for flow amperometry and stripping voltammetry, with differences in sensitivity, flow rate dependence, response time, drop stability, tolerance to bubbles, uncompensated resistance and recontamination of disposed analyte from the electrolytic bath. Two of them, a simple L‐shaped PTFE tube and an upstream nozzle holder made from a disposable pipette tip, gather a larger set of desirable features.  相似文献

The results of non empirical quantum-chemical calculations using the RHF/6-31G(d) and MP2/6-31G(d) methods do not agree with proposals for the axial position of the H atom on the N atom in the piperidine molecule. According to RHF/6-31G(d) calculations for the N-methylpiperidine molecule and its chloro-substituted derivatives an equatorially placed methyl group is energetically more favored than an axial. The axial C-Cl and C-H bonds in these molecules are longer than the equatorial. The 35 Cl NQR frequencies for the axial Cl atoms are lower than the equatorial. The 35 Cl NQR frequency of the axial chlorine atom in 2-chloro-1-methylpiperidine is anomalously low. This is chiefly due to the high population density of its p σ-orbital and this is a result of the polarization of the C-Cl bond via the N atom unshared electron pair directly through the field. The effect of a similar unshared electron pair on the parameters of the C-Cl bond in the ClCH2NH2 molecule has been studied by the RHF/6-31(g) method for different angles of rotation of the ClCH2 group around the C-N bond. __________ Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 7, pp. 1044–1052, July, 2005.  相似文献

The reaction of 1,3-dipropyn-2-yloxycalix[4]arene with mercury(II)acetate could give mercury-containing alkynyl calixarenepolymer.The extraction behavior of 1,3-dipropyn-2-yl-oxycalix[4]arene towards mercury(II)ion was examined.When the moleratio of Hg~(2 )/calixarene was 1:1,the extractive percent can reach to 99.1%,and the extraction capacity was up to 431 mg/g.It couldalso decrease the Hg~(2 )concentration from 5 to 0.85 mg/L,which was only 17%of the national standard of effluent and satisfied thenational standard of drinking water.The extraction process included chemical reaction.  相似文献

Even systems in which strong electron correlation effects are present, such as the large near-degeneracy correlation in a dissociating electron pair bond exemplified by stretched H2, are represented in the Kohn–Sham (KS) model of non-interacting electrons by a determinantal wavefunction built from the KS molecular orbitals. As a contribution to the discussion on the status and meaning of the KS orbitals we investigate, for the prototype system of H2 at large bond distance, and also for a one-dimensional molecular model, how the electron correlation effects show up in the shape of the KS σ g orbital. KS orbitals φHL and φFCI obtained from the correlated Heitler-London and full configuration interaction wavefunctions are compared to the orbital φLCAO, the traditional linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO) form of the (approximate) Hartree-Fock orbital. Electron correlation manifests itself in an essentially non-LCAO structure of the KS orbitals φHL and φFCI around the bond midpoint, which shows up particularly clearly in the Laplacian of the KS orbital. There are corresponding features in the kinetic energy density t s of the KS system (a well around the bond midpoint) and in the one-electron KS potential v s (a peak). A new type of current sensor, Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) film of calixarene on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was prepared for determination of mercury by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). An anodic stripping peak was obtained at 0.15 V (vs. SCE) by scanning the potential from ?0.6 to +0.6 V. Compared with a bare GCE, the LB film coated electrode greatly improves the sensitivity of measuring mercury ion. The fabricated electrode in a 0.1 M H2SO4+0.01 M HCl solution shows a linear voltammetric response in the range of 0.07–40 μg L?1 and detection limit of 0.04 μg L?1 (ca. 2×10?10 M). The high sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of this LB film modified electrode demonstrates its practical application for a simple, rapid and economical determination of Hg2+ in a water sample.  相似文献

Interatomic distances in the reaction centers of the addition reactions of (i) H· to the C=C, C=O, N≡C, and C≡C bonds, (ii) ·CH3 radical to the C=C, C=O, and C≡C bonds, and (iii) alkyl, aminyl, and alkoxyl radicals to olefin C=C bonds were determined using a new semiempirical method for calculating transition-state geometries of radical reactions. For all reactions of the type X· + Y=Z → X— Y—Z· the r # X...Y distance in the transition state is a linear function of the enthalpy of reaction. Parameters of this dependence were determined for seventeen classes of radical addition reactions. The bond elongation, Δr # X...Y, in the transition state decreases as the triplet repulsion, electronegativity difference between the atoms X and Y in the reaction center, and the force constant of the attacked multiple bond increase. __________ Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. [Hg(sulfamethoxazolato)2]·2DMSO ( 1 ) and [Cu2(CH3COO)4(sulfa‐methoxazole)2] ( 2 ) can be obtained by the reaction of sulfamethoxazole with mercury acetate or copper acetate in methanol. The structures of the two complexes were characterized by single crystal X—ray diffractometry. Compound 1 consists of sulfamethoxazolato ligands bridging the metal ions building an unidimensional chain. Two solvent dimethylsulfoxide molecules are involved via N‐H···O hydrogen bridges. The mercury atom shows a linear primary coordination arrangement formed by two trans deprotonated sulfonamidic nitrogen atoms. The overall coordination around the metal atom may be regarded as a strongly distorted octahedron when the interactions of mercury with four sulfonamidic oxygen atoms [bond distances of 2.761(4) Å—2.971(4) Å] are also considered to build an equatorial plane and the N1 and N1′ atoms [bond distance of 2.037(5) Å] occupy the apical positions. Compound 2 is a dinuclear complex in which the copper ions are bridged by four syn‐syn acetate ligands which are related by a symmetry centre located in the centre of the complex. Each copper atom presents a nearly octahedral coordination where the equatorial plane is formed by four oxygen atoms and an isoxazolic nitrogen atom and the second copper atom occupy the apical positions.  相似文献
