Plasma polymerization is a well-established process for the deposition of thin polymeric films on various types of substrates. The potential of this technique for promoting changes of substrate’s wettability constitutes one of the most basic and often reported applications. However, as novel technological demands emerge, and with it the range of available characterizations, plasma polymers are having their niche of applications and properties expanded. The properties of these materials are commonly tailored through the variation of polymer chemistry, postfunctionalization, or other post-treatment processes. That chemical versatility allows the use of plasma polymers in adhesives, water treatment, biomedicine, and many other fields. The creation of nanostructures via lithography or during the deposition process itself constitutes other dynamic fields for new plasma polymer materials. In the current review, the design of materials through plasma polymerization is addressed with the direction given by our expertise in maleic anhydride plasma polymers (MAPP). A non-exhaustive number of applications of plasma polymers is provided to non-specialists as an overview of the materials coming out from the field of this chemical-vapor deposition process. A complete analysis of the literature on maleic anhydride plasma polymers is also performed.  相似文献

An improved process was developed for the production of carbon black (CB)–filled styrene butadiene rubber masterbatch (SBR-CB-MB) using a simple latex/CB mixing technology; the improvement comprised processing the CB as an emulsifier-free aqueous suspension by high-rate shearing. Tensile and tear strength, dynamic compression behaviors, the Payne effect, equilibrium swelling and bound rubber of the SBR-CB-MB and dry mixing CB filled SBR (SBR-CB-DM), covering a wide range of CB loading (45–70 phr), were investigated and compared. It was found that the tensile and tear strength, heat buildup and compression set, abrasion volume loss, and the Payne effect of the SBR-CB-MB were lower than those of the SBR-CB-DM, while the bound rubber content were higher, indicating good CB/rubber interaction in the SBR-CB-MB. SEM analysis showed that no free CB could be found on the surface or inside of the granular SBR-CB-MB particles, indicating good CB dispersion in the rubber matrix.  相似文献

Summary: Emulsion copolymerization of styrene and methacrylic acid with nonionic emulsifier and potassium persulfate as initiator gave nonspherical copolymer particles having uneven surface. The formation was based on the coagulation of byproduct nano-sized (ca. 35 nm) particles, which were formed throughout the copolymerization until monomer phase disappeared, onto main submicron-sized (234 ∼ 445 nm) particles.  相似文献

通过热解蔗糖/Al2O3前驱体的方法制备了炭包覆改性Al2O3(CCA)载体,并采用等体积浸渍制备了负载量17 %的镍基催化剂.对载体及相应催化剂进行了TPO-MS、N2物理吸附、TPR、XRD等测试表征,并考察了催化剂顺酐(MA)加氢合成γ-丁内酯(GBL)的反应性能.结果表明,适量炭的引入改变了载体Al2O3的表面性质,使金属-载体相互作用减弱,活性组分镍的分散度提高,催化剂在MA加氢反应中表现出高的GBL选择性.当Al2O3中引入8.9 %的炭时,催化剂表现出最高的催化活性,在210 ℃,5 MPa氢气压力下反应3 h时,MA转化率达98%以上,GBL选择性达91.71 %.  相似文献

The unusual properties of bis(diphenylphosphino)maleic anhydride and similar ditertiary phosphines has prompted the synthesis of analogous arsines and stibines. Bis(diphenylarsino)maleic anhydride,-maleic thioanhydride and-N-methyl maleic imide, bis(diphenylstibino)maleic anhydride (5) and-maleic thioanhydride are obtained as crystalline yellow or red compounds by the reaction of the corresponding 2,3-dichloromaleic acid derivatives with diphenyl(trimethylsilyl)arsine and-stibine resp. The uv/vis spectra and characteristic i.r. bands of selected compounds are given and compared with those of the corresponding phosphines. The strong shift of C=C to lower wavenumbers observed in all compounds has caused the determination of crystal and molecular structure of5 by x-ray diffraction. Bond distances and angles are given. The complex formation of the new diarsine ligands has been examined by the preparation of Ni-, Cr- and Mo-carbonyl derivatives. As the first organylsulfane substituted maleic acid derivatives bis(phenylthio)maleic thioanhydride,-N-methyl-maleic imide and-maleic acid dimethylester are synthesized and described.

An oligomerically-modified clay containing maleic anhydride was used to prepare polystyrene-clay nanocomposites by melt blending and the effect of this modified clay on the thermal stability and fire performance was studied. These nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and cone calorimetry. The results show a mixed immiscible/intercalated/delaminated morphology. The maleic anhydride modified clay improved the compatibility between the clay and the polystyrene.  相似文献

Chromium may exist in environmental waters as Cr(III) and Cr(IV), the latter being the toxic and carcinogenic form. Since atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry can only yield information on total Cr concentration, a polymer resin bearing O,O-donor chelating groups such as the maleic acid-functionalized XAD(CO)CHCHCOOH resin was synthesized to selectively retain Cr(III) at pH 4.0-5.5. The dynamic breakthrough capacity of the resin for Cr(III) at pH 5.0 was 7.52 mg g−1, and the preconcentration factor extended to 250-300. Chromium(III) in the presence of 250-fold Cr(VI)—which was not retained—could be effectively preconcentrated on the NH4+-form of the resin and determined by AAS or diphenylcarbazide (DPC) spectrophotometry. When Cr(VI) was reduced to Cr(III) with Na2SO3 solution brought to pH 1 by the addition of 1 M H2SO4, and preconcentrated on the resin, total Cr could be determined. The developed method was validated with a blended coal sample CRM-1632. Since the adsorption behavior as a function of pH of possible interferent metal ions, e.g. Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Zn(II), Pb(II) and Fe(III), was similar to that of Cr(III), selective elution of Cr(III) from the resin was realized using a mixture of 1 wt.% H2O2+1 M NH3. The eluate containing Cr as chromate could be directly analyzed by diphenyl carbazide spectrophotometry without any adverse effect from the common interferents of this method, i.e. Fe(III), Cu(II) Hg(II), VO3, MoO42− and WO42−. Various synthetic waste solutions typical of electroplating bath effluents containing Cr, Cu, Ni, Zn, Na, Ca, cyanide (and chemical oxidation demand (COD), achieved by glucose addition) were subjected to pretreatment procedures such as hypochlorite oxidation (of cyanide) and catalytic oxidation (of COD) with peroxodisulfate. Chromium determination gave satisfactory results. The combined column preconcentration—selective elution—diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometric determination was also successfully applied to the determination of Cr in artificial and real seawater.  相似文献

A new analytical methodology for the electrochemical detection of the herbicide maleic hydrazide (3,6‐dihydroxypyridazine) by flow injection analysis is presented. This method is supported by the novel application of a palladium‐dispersed carbon paste electrode as an amperometric sensor for this herbicide. Maleic hydrazide shows anodic electrochemical activity on carbon‐based electrodes (glassy carbon or carbon paste electrodes) in all the pH range. This electrochemical activity is enhanced using metal‐dispersed carbon paste electrodes, especially at Pd‐dispersed CPE which displays good oxidation signals at 690 mV (0.050 M phosphate buffer pH 7.0), 140 mV lower than at unmodified electrodes. Under the optimized conditions, the electroanalytical performance of Pd‐dispersed CPE in flow injection analysis was excellent, with good reproducibility (RSD 3.3%) and a wide linear range (1.9×10?7 to 1.0×10?4 mol L?1). A detection limit of 1.4×10?8 mol L?1 (0.14 ng maleic hydrazide) was obtained for a sample loop of 100 μL at a fixed potential of 700 mV in 0.050 M phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.0 and a flow rate of 2.0 mL min?1. The proposed method was applied for the maleic hydrazide detection in natural drinking water samples.  相似文献

A new copolymer was synthesized by free radical polymerization in solution from methyl 3α-methylacryloyl-7α, 12α-dihydroxy-5β-cholan-24-oate (MACAME) and maleic anhydride (MAN). The copolymer was characterized by FT-IR and functional group analysis. The reactivity ratios of the two monomers were estimated [r_1 = 11.6 (MACAME), r_2 = 0.01(MAN)] by conducting a series of copolymerizations with a variety of monomer feed compositions and analyzing thecopolymer composition. Thermogravimetric and differential scanning calorimetric analyses of the samples indicate that thecopolymer possesses good thermal stability. The temperature at which the copolymer samples experienced a 10% weight loss(T_(WL)) is over 287℃, and the T_g ranged from 174 to 185℃ for the copolymers.  相似文献
